"We verbleven een week in dit hotel en hadden een mooie kamer. Deze kamer is functioneel ingericht en wordt elke dag netjes schoongemaakt. De badkamer heeft een fijne douche. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijtbuffet is prima verzorgd. Fijn dat het hotel over een restaurant beschikt. Er zijn weinig andere restaurants in Zapallar."

Een shuttleservice naar het busstation (of het regelen van een taxi) zou handig zijn. Het restaurant zou iets meer variatie en vegetarische mogelijkheden in het menu kunnen aanbieden.

"The people from the front desk are amazing, really helpful. They gave us towels for the beach, and beach chairs. They made our stay way better, including after checkout. The hotel has an almost private beach where they also gave us a beach umbrella, it was a paradise, all for us (we even saw manta rays). The location is perfect. Not far from the ferry, not far to nice beaches, not far from places to eat. The hotel is clean, nice rooms, nice bathrooms, they gave us complimentary waters and coffee in the room. Also, the hotel has a bar and a restaurant. At night it solved us having there something to eat having been all day out."

Everything in Turks and Caicos is expensive, and in North/Middle Caicos even more (that’s not the hotel). The restaurant of the hotel was good but expensive. It is a good alternative, even more if you don’t want to grab the car again, but I would check the prices before seating to see if they are ok for you.

Kamer leek scheef af te lopen, hierdoor voelde het net alsof je dronken was. Bedden waren niet heel comfortabel, prima voor een nachtje maar meer niet. Het thema was een beetje oudbollig.

"Suite was spacious, all amenities were in place, as expected. Also, there is a restaurant on the ground floor. Plus a cool hair dryer, thanks."

Distance between bed and the walls was tiny, you have to do some physical exercise to get in. Also, the toilet felt a bit fragile :)

"The chinese food restaurant was fantastic. The rooms were clean and great for the price. Even though the restaurant was closed in the morning, the owner brought us each a coffee when we went searching for one. Would stay again."

Would have been nice to have coffee available in the room.

Given that there are no other places close to the hotel where you can buy food , the hotel restaurant should have more choices of food.

"Location was spot on, right in the city centre and close to the bus station. The beach is 5 minutes away. Lovely lady at the front desk. She upgraded me to a sea view room, without me even asking."

The hotel is a bit dated, but you've got what you pay for.

Nothing at all it was just the mud on the entrance which was beyond their controll( natural cause)

Restaurant prices

"Een prachtig oud gebouw, werkelijk midden in het centrum van Ystad. De kamer was ruim en de badkamer praktisch. Parkeren was makkelijk en is ‘s avonds gratis. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en net als de rest van het hotel in een sfeervolle kamer."

Jammer dat de fohn er steeds na 10 seconden mee stopt.

"The family room was small, but had everything you need. The breakfast was delicious and the drink prices were reasonable. The best choice in the area. Evening village life is a separate show, unfortunately we couldn't find any entertainment nearby. And the wealthier residents instead gathered at our place of stay."

The first night we had trouble sleeping because at 3AM all the villagers started making noise (roosters, dogs, cats, turkeys, goats, sheep) but by the second and third we were already used to the village sounds.

Lot of stairs to bring down the luggage and carry it back. The train track adjoining the hotel is very annoying and extremely noisy when the train passes through.

"Heel erg mooie inrichting. Je waant je bijna in een herenhuis. Kamers ruim met mooie bedden, heel zuiver en de douche was een regendouche. Airco werkte perfect en dat was heerlijk bij het hete weer. Maar vooral: het ontbijt was majestueus!"

"Het meest beviel ons de rust en hygiëne. We aten ontbijt en diner in het hotel. Vantevoren konden we aangeven hoe laat we het wilden hebben en wat we wilden eten. De kok luisterde goed naar onze wensen. Verder is het personeel zeer behulpzaam en helpt wanneer nodig."

Eigenlijk viel niets echt tegen. Omdat het een nieuwe lokatie is, merk je dat de medewerkers nog wat onwennig zijn en moet je pro-actief zijn. Zo hadden we handdoeken en een kopje voor 1 persoon op de kamer terwijl we met zijn tweeën waren. Als je erom vraagt zorgen ze snel dat het wordt opgelost. Als je TV wil kijken, houd er rekening mee dat je alleen YouTube video's kunt bekijken 😀 De lokatie is gelegen op een zeer stil punt in Zomba en heeft geen buitenterras, dat zou nog wel fijn zijn. En, zoals je wel vaker tegenkomt in Malawi, het weggetje ernaartoe is een zandpad met stenen en kuilen, dus houd daar rekening mee.
