When we came in november, there were still some wedding decoration left on the staircase (from the owners sons wedding the month before), and as a future bride myself I felt enchanted! "The view was really good with the little terrace in front of the room, I like to have a view. AC was powerful. It was also very very quiet. No noise except the roosters."

Others need to be mindful it's down a steep hill from the main street then up a steep unlit track - bring a flashlight not just phone light. Tricycles pick up at the bottom of the hill.

The property is generally old, not that it’s not well kept but I think it’s kept as best as they can.

"The wood house is nice and it also has a private garden with a table. All the location is independent from the main house and it is in the center of the village."

It is not easy to communicate with the owners, English is a bit of a problem... The kitchen space is quite limitated.

Der Lärm nachts von der Straße ist extrem. Die Matratze ist eine Katastrophe. Terrassen Möbel fehlen. Extrem hellhörig auch zu der Wohnung nebenan. Die Pfanne müsste dringend ersetzt werden.

"Martin, el propietario es una persona apasionada por su proyecto, extremadamente amable, felxible (hora de llegada). Villa Gasconia está hecha con corazón. Esta muy cerca de Antigua en carro, a un par de quilómetros."

The host should have explained how all the property facilities functioned or a set of instructions. We did not know about the water jets or lights of the pool. Slight smell in the room and lots of lizards and flys

"De ligging was fantastisch. Totale rust en vanuit het huis zijn er allemaal wandelingen te doen. Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien."
