Chalets in Slovenië

"Super leuk om op een farm te slapen, en daar leuk t kunnen rondlopen. Huizen zijn super goed equipped terwijl je ook mooi prive zit."

Lots of warnings posted about what you could and couldn’t do

"Gezellig klein huisje, met alle basic dingen die je nodig hebt. Verse lakens en handdoeken liggen voor je klaar in een bak."

Het terras was wel wat verstevigingswerk aan, maar dat de stoorde ons niet.

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

Heel veel was er fijn en goed. We miste alleen een waterkoker.

De lakens zijn nogal ruw, en verduisterende gordijnen zouden een fijne toevoeging zijn in de zomermaanden.

How close the cabins are to each other… Had a big family next to us that was loud out on their deck.

"This is a place where everything works -- gas, electric, water. Enough pots and pans for everyone. We enjoyed the stay. The place was clean, sheets were clean, towels and soap present, and there was working cleaning tools to keep the place clean. The host had thought of everything. The WiFi was superb. And the park outside is well-maintained and enjoyable."

A work desk was missed. Indoor parking not available, but the are is quite safe and secure.

Rory and I came across this listing one evening while planning a birthday trip to Spain, it turned out to be the most incredible celebration delivering way above what we’d expected. From the rolling Andalusian hills to the perfectly equipped family home that greeted us, we couldn’t have asked for a better spot. Some of the highlights were the last 10 minutes off road in the SUV we’d picked up at the airport to reach the farmhouse, the humongous fireplace we cooked on must nights, the short walk up to the swimming pool area which felt like being in a completely different property, the silence and light. Ángeles is a wonderful host who made sure we had everything we might need including a bottle of her brother’s delightful home made wine. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, you just must book it!"

"Wat een fijne accommodatie! Vooraf prettig contact met eigenaresse Louise. Huisje was lekker warm toen we binnenkwamen en het rook er heerlijk! Het is lekker ruim en alles is aanwezig. Echt een dikke aanrader!"

"Fantastic views of the Matterhorn, plus the town of Zermatt, especially from the bedroom upstairs which means the view is wonderful to look at when you wake up in the morning! Very comfort and cosy refurbished old cabin which has real authenticity. The owners are very friendly and always helpful."

The three flights of stairs to go to the toilet during the night and carting up all our ski gear from the road below.
