Resorts in Aruba

"Prachtige botanische tuin, mooie ruime kamers en schoon. Vriendelijk personeel, maken graag een praatje bij het diner. Mooi restaurant met geweldige curry’s op de kaart en in de ochtend een top ontbijt. Mooie gym, veel parkeergelegenheid. Ruimte en rust en een lekker bad in de badkamer. Tip: ga paardrijden of moutainbiken in Mlilwane park, 15 minuutjes rijden."

Ligbedden bij zwembad voelen dun aan, snel een houten rug. Een dikker matras lijkt mij fijner.

"Staff, hospitality and location. As said, all the staff were excellent, it is not possible to mention all the staff by name. The only name which I remember was Carla Sasa but this does not put the rest of the staff in a different category."

"De locatie is uniek: midden in de natuur, waar luiaards letterlijk op een paar meter van onze bungalow zaten. Het resort zelf is ontzettend luxe – het meest luxe dat we in Nicaragua zijn tegengekomen. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en denkt actief met je mee. Echt een aanrader! Wij hebben ons verblijf zelfs verlengd omdat het zo fijn was."

De weg naar het resort is vrij hobbelig. Een stevige of hoge auto is daarom wel aan te raden.

"Het ontbijt voldeed aan de normen van het eiland . Ligging direct aan een mooi strand was uitstekend. De bungalo's waren een beetje aan de kleine kant , maar gezien de ligging , direct aan het strand was dat geen minpunt ."

"Beautiful view, with exceptional service. The staff is extremely friendly, makes a point of learning your name and providing the personal touch. A bit outside the busy Stone Town area, very close to the airport. Well priced."

The breakfast is a bit disappointing, would have loved a strong cup of coffee, but the rest of the menu is really enjoyable, and the great service more than makes up for the slightly under par breakfast.

"De ligging was perfect voor een weekje wintersport. Binnen 10 minuten was je in Kaprun, en met 15 minuten in Zell am See. Het appartement was keurig en voorzien van alles wat je maar nodig kon hebben (inclusief airfryer!). Bedden lagen prima, en het formaat van het appartement was groot genoeg voor 2 a 3 personen."

De douchecabine was voorzien van o.a. een regendouche, maar deze werkte helaas niet helemaal goed waardoor we de handdouche hebben moeten gebruiken. Scheen te komen door het vele kalk in het water.

"We are thankful for the wonderful Christmas week spent in villa Castoria. Marina Liptov. First of all, the accommodation itself: a nice family sofa, cosy fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, and a marvelous view to the mountains and winter river ❤️ The service is perfect!"

"Nice calm resort well eqiupped spa, large rooms, great food, drink as well.. What is on top level is staff, in particular super nice lady at reception, always ready to help, moving you immediatelly to relaxing mood on arrival. Hope landlord is well aware having such a treasure in the team."

"Stayed 5 nights in this absolute dream! 🤩 very well maintained, very high quality of rooms with attention to detail (freshly renovated beach bungalows), warm and welcoming atmosphere thanks to attentive staff who ensures a personal approach to their guests. The whole experience (from day trips to Tuherahera and snorkelling with manta rays) was all just over the top!"

Effectively ruined all our future holidays because nothing will ever compare 😅

"- Mooie hut in een prachtige bergomgeving; - Zeer goedkope accomodatie; - Ontbijt en avondeten te nuttigen in plaatselijk restaurant (kleine meerprijs); - 15 minuten rijden naar nationaal park Prokletije;"

- Eigenlijk niets. Verwacht uiteraard geen grote luxe.. maar dat weet je op voorhand. Een kleine tv had misschien leuk geweest.

"Great snorkelling around the over water bungalows, lots of turtles feeding on the seagrass. Beautiful location, so relaxing. Beach access bungalows are very nice, newly renovated, comfy bed. Pool was awesome. Appreciated the sea bird conservation in the island. I actually loved the sounds of the Puffin de Pacifique birds at night - I thought it was a child crying at first lol… bungalows have earplugs, luckily! Complimentary buffet breakfast was good. Got a generous late check out, service was really good from the boat to the front desk to the restaurant and bar. Everyone speaks a very high level of English, not sure where the negative comments about staff come from - they were the best I experienced in NC by far."

It’s an expensive buffet dinner (around $80aud) but the choices were really good, esp the fresh seafood and all the desserts. It’s just not worth it if you don’t eat huge dinners. Order à la carte options instead, but nice to try the buffet just once. Consider BYO noodles and alcohol if you want to save money, buying food and drinks from the restaurant and bar adds up quick. Would have been good to be able to lock/unlock the back beach access door from outside with a key.

"Nice resort with lots of facilities. Very nice pool with bubble bath. Sauna, workout, and much more. VERY friendly and helpful staff. Decent brekky. Good restaurant for dinner. Room was nice."

No cappuccino option at brekky, just mediocre coffee. The "beach" is not worth the name - better stick with the pool.
