"I love this family friendly vibe! There is a pool for kids, adults with swim up bar and another quieter relax pool for adults only. The shows were good- the circus show and the fire show were my favorites. Everyone from the front desk to servers to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, you have a choice in the evening between the buffet and restaurants."

It took us a few days to figure out what was happening at the resort as our Spanish was so limited.

"Heel Gastvrij, men nam de tijd om ons welkom te heten en naar de tafel te brengen. Er was een heel groot gevarieerd aanbod aan ontbijt inclusief meerdere glutenvrije opties. Bij de ontbijtbar was het mogelijk om specifieke wensen te vermelden en eieren zoals eggs benedict. Ook de handdoekservice bij het zwembad en privestrand was geweldig."

De prijzen van de restaurants zijn wat aan de hoge kant. De cocktails mochten wat gevarieerder zijn in aabod. Parkeertarief voor de auto valt tegen en zou inclusief mogen zijn.

"Magic Reef is a beautiful resort, very relaxing. The bungalows are well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. It was also great to have our own comfortable lounge chairs on the deck to take in the views out over the reef, watching the waves crashing and the sun setting which was all simply breathtaking. There are a few really good restaurants within walking distance down the beach, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing time. We hired a car for a couple of days to explore around the island, enjoy some beach swimming, snorkeling and to eat at some different restaurants. The pool was great, lovely temperature and depth. Our hosts and all the staff were friendly, helpful and we enjoyed talking with them. Thanks for the beautiful platter in the fridge, the beers, juice etc which was so appreciated. We would highly recommend Magic Reef if you like a small boutique resort."

"I can’t think of anything I would change (and I don’t say that often). Our stay was full of little details and the service was impecable. The room is beyond confortable, and everything was peaceful and beautiful. Loved the Food at Omakase, not so much at Ike’s bistro (except breakfast, which was delicious and with great variety) Other than that absolut perfection."

I just wouldnt recommend dinner at Ike’as bistro, but the other restaurants Were delicious! Omakase is outstanding for a great Price.

Het is niet handig om ‘s avonds lopend de boel te verkennen. Het verkeer is wat chaotisch.

주변에 식당이없다보니 골드카드로 갔는데 식사를 그나마 괜찮은건 마젤란이었는데 3박동안 가려니 너무 질리더라구요 사이판pic처럼 좀더 다양한 레스토랑이 있었으면 좋겠어요

De reservering was niet direct bekend bij inchecken, dit gaf vertraging. De wifi viel tegen, de TV had slechts een paar lokale kanalen die werkten.

"I really liked the room, the facilities, and the entire complex. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well organized. Every team member was amazing—professional, friendly, and always helpful."

There was nothing significant to complain about. Overall, the experience met and even exceeded my expectations.

"A good hotel with a decent and tasty breakfast served in an interestingly located restaurant. The rooms are clean and spacious. It's pleasantly cool in summer even during the heat, although there's no air conditioning. A special highlight is the mountain river flowing nearby — you can hear its sound at night. The location is truly excellent, especially convenient because the free shuttle bus stop is right next to the hotel. In the pool, the water is very warm, but it was impossible to use it — all the spots around the pool were constantly occupied."

Nothing it a Perfect Place

"Prima kamer, ontbijt goed. Elke dag wel hetzelfde. Faciliteiten prima! Personeel vriendelijk."

Badkamer wat gedateerd, maar werkte wel.

Eén ochtend was er geen ontbijtbuffet omdat er weinig gasten waren. We konden kiezen uit een beperkt ontbijtmenu. Hier stonden echter weinig zaken op die we als ontbijt lusten, vooral warme schotels. Het hotel is degelijk, maar gedateerd. Eerder geschikt voor binnenlands toerisme.

In sommige kamers is de hygiëne binnen de badkamer niet heel erg schoon. Kitranden van de douche en toilet zijn vies/zwart. Ook loopt het water tijdens het douchen de badkamer in, waardoor dit een waterballet wordt.

"Our suite came with a hot tub on the balcony. It was beautiful view and the rooms were super comfortable. The suite also came with a glass of wine and complimentary breakfast buffet the next day. It was very pleasant and nice. We enjoyed our stay."

"Heerlijk Resort, groot verwarmd zwembad. Ook met gratis ligbedden op het mooie strandje aan de andere kant van de weg (bereikbaar via tunnel of oversteekplaats). Gratis ruime bewaakte parkeergelegenheid. Lounge met snacks en heerlijk gebak etc. Op loopafstand van de Nightmarket in Kenting (5 minuten lopen naar het begin). Veel faciliteiten, oa SPA en talloze dingen om te doen voor kinderen of volwassenen."

"From arriving up to leaving, it was perfect! The rooms are comfortable and clean. Stuff is always doing the best service, from the reception over the cleaning staff to the restaurant! Even there was a animation for kids at the pool what our son really enjoyed. The Chef cooking delicious meals and sharing some special tip to make your food better! The waiters have done always a great job , Jonathan was always having some jokes to made us laugh. Cleaning staff always was respecting your privacy and when told them come back at time they was at the point! At the point a perfect stay what I can just recommend."

"Grote kamer met goede bedden. We hadden op ons verzoek een open tussendeur tussen de twee gereserveerde kamers, wat erg handig was. Veel keuze bij buffetrestaurant. Je mag ook een keer in ieder a la carte restaurant eten als je er een week verblijft. Je kon op meerdere plekken een flesje water vullen. Erg handig op warme dagen. Ook lagen er op een aantal plekken o.a. sandwiches en kipnuggets om mee te nemen. Er werd ook niet moeilijk gedaan als je daarmee op pad ging."

We waren er in de eerste week van mei. De beloofde airco's op de kamers waren overal in het hotel nog buitenwerking vanwege vroegseizoen. Daardoor moesten de ramen de hele avond en nacht open, doordat het erg warm was op de kamers. Er was erg veel lawaai van straatverkeer. En ook een erg irritant hotelmuziekje bij de ingang van het hotel dat tot 0.00 uur luid aan stond en zelf op de vijfde verdieping aan de zijkant van het hotel nog hoorbaar was. Het personeel was erg behulpzaam. We kregen een ventilator na onze klacht over de airco. Maar ze konden niets aan het hotelmuziekje doen. Het eten in het buffetrestaurant was niet altijd even warm. En bij de start van het avondbuffetrestaurant stonden vaak lange rijen.

Het eten was beperkt. Weinig variatie en weinig tafels om aan te zitten. Moest vaak wachten.

The resort is not in walking distance to San Ignacio. You need a car (and worse a parking spot) to go there. This makes you dependent on the hotel‘s facilities and restaurant. Be aware that the breakfast included only means a small selection of breakfast choices. Whenever you want something extra eg eggs you pay extra! You pay a 10% „service charge“ on everything, even on the organization of tours, which is quite a ripoff. I did some activities organized by the hotel. These tours (especially the mayan cooking class) are real good, however as a single I had to pay for two people (minus a small discount). Moreover, tax & „service charge“ were added to the net prices mentioned in the flyer. Taken together this makes these tours unacceptably expensive.

"The location is the best. Easy access when arriving at Lac Rose. Most activities are located right in front of the hotel (horse/camel riding, quad rental to ride in the sand dunes, etc). The hotel is literally on the lake, with the terrasse and dining area built over the water."

Some items on the menu tasted like they were not fresh. The AC in the room was a bit underperforming and noisy. The lock on the glass door going to the balcony was broken and could not be locked.

"Breakfast was nicely made and well presented. It included international as well as local dishes."

If butter is served cold and honey is included, then it will become better.

"Staff is amazing, the kindest people we’ve met in Ulcinj over the last 10 years. Everything is super clean, location is perfect, the breakfast is nice. Overall, a great experience for a family with a toddler!"
