Luxe tenten op de Filipijnen

"Prachtige yurt op een fantastische locatie!! Ga er vanuit dat je écht gaat kamperen: dit is geen hotel maar wel een geweldige ervaring. Als je met de juiste verwachting en voorbereiding komt, is het geweldig! De yurt staat op grasheuvels omringd met fruitbomen. Koeien en paarden lopen vrij rond in de omgeving rond de yurt. Er was elektra en verwarming in de yurt en goede wifi. Voldoende drinkwater en handdoeken waren ook voorzien. Prachtig aangekleed van binnen. Buiten staat een wastafel en een gaspitje met pannen. In de yurt heb je borden, bestek en glazen. Voorbereiding: je kunt alleen met cash betalen (net zoals in bijna heel Kazachstan) dus wees voorbereid want er zijn buiten Almaty weinig ATM's beschikbaar. Je moet je eigen eten meenemen en er zijn weinig tot geen restaurants of winkeltjes in de buurt van de yurt. Wij hebben in Almaty boodschappen gedaan en alles meegenomen."

Toilet is een gat in de grond met een houten hokje er omheen. Douche is ook een houten hokje met een watertank. Toen wij er waren was het te koud om op deze manier buiten te douchen. De koeien en paarden lopen 's nachts rond de yurt en maken geluid: neem oordoppen mee. Wel een prachtige manier om wakker te worden 's ochtends met paarden, veulens, koeien en kalfjes om je heen.

"The entire setup was gorgeous. Felt like a true camp. They added a lovely touch by providing big kettle in a common area which was on simmer heat with unlimited Jordanian tea. We opted for a dinner as well which was extra. Dinner buffet had a nice selection of salads and dips. They only offered one lamb, one chicken and one rice with potatoes dish. Lamb was delicious from a buffet standard. Chicken was too dry which was a shame as falvour was nice. Rice and potatoes were decent too. Only thing is they should include atleast water in buffet as standard. Lastly location seems be right on the edge of wadi rum dessert. It's about 40 mins drives from wadi rum village."

We had a buddle tent. It was modern and looks very elegant. However the floor of bubble tent was a bit dusty. I am not sure weather this was because of lack of cleaning or bubble tents are not perfectly sealed. Other than that our bathroom had no shower certain. So when one person took a shower entire bathroom got flooded. They did provide us with a floor wiper when we requested it. If they install a shower certain or shower glass, this bathroom would be perfect. Lastly we didn't get hot water. Apparently, you need to request the reception who then switch on the boiler. Given there are no phones inside the room, one has to go all the way to reception to get hot water turned on.

"My son and I spent three weeks traveling around Puerto Rico and this was a wonderful addition to our trip. I love Pitahaya's focus on sustanability and eco traveling, the exclusion of single use water bottles (BRAVO) and attention to composting and recycling. This is something rarely seen on the island and greatly needed. The mattress in the tent was very comfortable and I absolutely loved showing under the stars. A great way to camp if you are unable to bring your personal camp gear or are simply looking for a more comfortable camping experience."

The main light in our tent would only last for a few seconds. We weren't aware that it was motion activated and that made it challenging to play board games and read at night.

"The hut had a stunning view. The bed was abit small for 2 people to sleep comfortably but we managed. The food from the cafe was great."

"Als je naar IJsland gaat moet je wel in een Dome hebben geslapen. Het is echt heel tof! Goede voorzieningen met hottub."

Temperatuur ging niet altijd heel makkelijk, bij aankomst 30 graden wat enorm warm was. Gezet naar 20 graden en dat was fris.

"Very nice view onto the valley and the volcano. We were watching the stars and shooting stars from the very comfortable bed. Although it was cold outside, the blankets and heater keep you warm. The jacuzzi was nice as well."

The water in the jacuzzi is warm but not hot, but it wasn’t bad and totally acceptable for being in the middle of nowhere.

"De knusheid van de boomhut, de simpelheid, net alsof je gaat kamperen. Maar dan wel met de luxe van een echt bed en een dak boven je hoofd."

De afstand om naar de badkamer te lopen was snachts in de regen wat ver.

"Een fantastische luxe tent met veel ruimte die smaakvol is ingericht met veel steigerhout, Fatboy lamp en zitzak, een barbecue en badkamer met Omdat het in juni nog niet zo druk op de camping was, was het super rustig. Heerlijk die stilte. Uitzicht op het groen. Het terras is enorm groot. Er is een fijn zwembad op de camping. De buitenkeuken, grote eettafel en bank buiten zijn geweldig."

Wij waren met z'n tweeën en hadden meer dan genoeg ruimte, maar als je 3 kinderen in het 2e piepkleine slaapkamertje ( met 3 stapelbedden) kwijt moet, dan is het proppen. Dan kun je je koffers/ tassen niet kwijt. De WiFi was niet geweldig Het campingwinkeltje heeft niet veel te bieden.
