"Staff woke us up early for the turtle hatching release on the beach outside our bungalow - a magical experience. Food was good and staff were friendly. Amazing location on the beach (even though getting here takes a while) Rooms were decent although our ceiling fan was really weak so it got very hot at night. Would definitely stay here again"

"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

Badkamer erg gedateerd. Voor een mindervalide was de ouderwetse douchebak een groot minpunt.

1. There was no Iron in the room (it is written in the room facilities) 2. Noisy neighbours (they celebrated birthday and used equipment for loud music and jumped in the pool)

"Friendly supportive staff. The log cabin accommodation was warm, comfortable and beautifully unique in the attention to detail, artistically designed carved wood, stretched leather, fur chair and stone framed mirror. Husky ride was fun learning about their training from friendly staff. Highly recommended for a comfortable and unique experience."

Couldn’t improve this stay it was excellent. Just wish I could have stayed longer.

It is 30 minutes on a very bumpy road from the gate to the national park and we were the only people to pass through each day. This end of the park is forest and scrub so very difficult to see game. There are not many roads in the park and almost no signage.

"De ontvangst was hartelijk en erg vriendelijk. Rosie was steeds snel een eenvoudig bereikbaar via whatsapp en stond steeds klaar om ons te helpen. Het ontbijt was super. Deze familie B&B is vlakbij de belangrijkste diveshops gelegen en dat is erg handig. Wij hebben overnacht in de glamping tent. Erg handig dat we naast de tent gebruik konden maken van een leuk overdekt salon met frigo. Ook eigen badkamer en toilet."

In tegenstelling tot wat er op booking.com werd vermeld werd er geen avondeten geserveerd. De restaurant en snack opties in de directe omgeving zijn erg beperkt. De beschikbare fietsen zijn erg oud en de zadels kunnen niet in hoogte versteld worden. Misschien tijd om nieuwe te kopen?

Ik vond het behoorlijk duur. De kleinere cottages zijn gek genoeg beter dan grote.

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"It is a unique carribean cottage, which is a little gem. It is a five minute walk to a lovely beach. We cooked in as the kitchen had everything one required. We had our meal out on the verandah next to the kitchen and watched the sunset. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. When we arrived she tried to book as into a restaurant but it was full so she took us to the local supermarket to ensure we would have a good meal. Keith was also really helpful and a great guy. We wished we had booked it for longer."

Door de afgelegen ligging is een auto aan te raden, behoorlijke klim omhoog vanaf het dichtstbijzijnde dorp (wel te doen)

Het eten en drinken. Er was veel niet aanwezig van wat er op de kaart stond. Zowel van het eten als het drinken. Dat mag niet mogelijk zijn voor de prijs die je betaalt.

"I loved that it was nestled in its own private space. There are 4 lodges in the vicinity and all have their own balcony’s that you can enjoy individually. Our water pressure was great. Also the unit was nice and clean."

Nothing: We actually didn’t book the transfers cause we had another vehicle organised however that fell through. But mama let us go first to the lodge and she’d wait at the airport. Lucky she got a ride back home from the family at airport. She has an immense amount of responsibility and knowledge of the island. As a local to Rarotonga people like her are very rare to be around.
