Luxe tenten in Uruguay

The road to get to the lodge was in terrible shape.

op de foto is het eerste wat je ziet een zwembad. Er is echter maar 1 villa die dit heeft.

The staff was kind of noisy in the morning, especially by the kitchen.

De weg naast het terrein is ‘s morgens al vrij druk bereden door vrachtwagens, ‘s nachts was er nog lang lawaai uit andere tenten, de pomp van de vijver maakt ‘‘s nachts heel veel geluid, er zijn dingen aan vervanging toe zoals de badjassen en de ligstoelen.

"De locatie van het tentenkamp midden in de woestijn, de stilte, de natuur... alles was onbeschrijflijk. Het tentenkamp was van alle faciliteiten voorzien. Het was een ongelooflijke ervaring (brood bakken in het vuur, op woestijnduinen lopen). Het eten was ook heel lekker. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. Mede dank aan onze chauffeur was het zo een onbeschrijflijke ervaring!"

"Alles. Echt een leuke plek om geweest te zijn. Michel deed echt zijn best om het ons naar ons zin te maken. Hij zei al het komt 1 x in de 4 voor dat mensen uit Nederland komen."

"The entire setup was gorgeous. Felt like a true camp. They added a lovely touch by providing big kettle in a common area which was on simmer heat with unlimited Jordanian tea. We opted for a dinner as well which was extra. Dinner buffet had a nice selection of salads and dips. They only offered one lamb, one chicken and one rice with potatoes dish. Lamb was delicious from a buffet standard. Chicken was too dry which was a shame as falvour was nice. Rice and potatoes were decent too. Only thing is they should include atleast water in buffet as standard. Lastly location seems be right on the edge of wadi rum dessert. It's about 40 mins drives from wadi rum village."

We had a buddle tent. It was modern and looks very elegant. However the floor of bubble tent was a bit dusty. I am not sure weather this was because of lack of cleaning or bubble tents are not perfectly sealed. Other than that our bathroom had no shower certain. So when one person took a shower entire bathroom got flooded. They did provide us with a floor wiper when we requested it. If they install a shower certain or shower glass, this bathroom would be perfect. Lastly we didn't get hot water. Apparently, you need to request the reception who then switch on the boiler. Given there are no phones inside the room, one has to go all the way to reception to get hot water turned on.
