"Locatie is iets meer afgelegen tov stadscentrum waar wel nabij busstation. Er is redelijk wat horeca in de directe omgeving maar allen ook wat verlaten. Ik verbleef er 1 nacht omdat het vlakbij het ziekenhuis ligt. De familie is gastvrij en vriendelijk, het hotel en de kamer is brandschoon. Het ontbijt is met liefde klaargemaakt."

"The room was spacious, clean and had a huge comfortable bed. The room also had amazing views of the sea, and islet de Gosier as well a cool terrace. Coffee facilities and air conditioning in the room. I loved the open air lounge/dining area too - very unique - the art exhibition added glamour! Then the private beach and pool was also a treat."

The beach area tables and lounges needs to be cleaned more regularly.

Eigenlijk viel niets tegen, enkel het gemeenschappelijke toilet.

"I really enjoyed my stay here - the hotel is like an oasis of calm in Bissau. Staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful - special thanks to Mariama who very kindly went above and beyond her duties to accompany me to the market so I wasn't alone. Good buffet breakfast, clean swimming pool, lovely gardens, spacious rooms. I felt very safe here as a solo female too."

The quality of toileters should be better. The mini bar was empty and needed to ask for water at around 3:00 AM. Lastly, the price is a bit high.

"Hotel ligt op een ideale locatie. Metro + bushalte op twee minuten lopen. Winkels, eetgelegenheden en supermarkten zijn er in overvloed. Al Ghurair Mall is 1 bushalte verderop. Alle medewerkers in het hotel zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt heeft niet heel veel variatie, maar er is voldoende keus en wordt goed aangevuld. De kamer is ruim met prima bedden en voldoende plek voor de koffers."

Het is duidelijk dat het een wat ouder hotel is, maar dat is niet echt een probleem. Een nadeel is wel dat de ramen in de kamer niet open konden. Bij het zwembad zijn slechts een paar ligbedden. Het was gelukkig vaak rustig waardoor dit geen probleem was.

"Het hotel lag in een rustige buurt, waardoor je 's ochtends alleen vogels hoorde. De locatie was dichtbij alle bezienswaardigheden in de Old City. De kamers waren knus ingericht, de lobby zag er erg mooi uit en nodigde echt uit om te gaan zitten. Het ontbijt was goed en het personeel was zeer vriendelijk. De bedden waren heel comfortabel. De wifi werkte perfect."

"Het personeel was zeer vriendelijk, ook leuk dat er 2 Nederlandse meisjes waren aan het onthaal. Het ontbijt was heel gevarieerd en lekker. Het bed was in eerste instantie naar de harde kant voor ons, dit gemeld en ze zijn onmiddellijk met een topper en de nodige lakens gekomen om dit voor ons in orde te maken. Super Ook het de winkel die in het Hotel is kunnen wij als meerwaarde beschouwen. Er is ook een Toestel buiten de winkel waarbij je een buskaart kan aankopen voor verplaatsingen op het eiland. Het busstation is op 500m van het Hotel, er is ook een stop voor het Hotel, alsook de ferry naar Gozo en de kleinere boten naar Comino en de Blue Lagoon zijn bij het busstation."

De terrasstoelen zijn aan vernieuwing toe. Het zou fijn zijn mochten alle deuren voorzien worden van geluidsdemping, de deuren van de nabijgelegen kamers en de gang deuren maken nogal lawaai bij het dichtgaan.

"Wij waren heel tevreden met dit hotel. Leuke locatie en ontbijt was uitgebreid. Personeel was heel vriendelijk."

De inrichting is wat gedateerd.

"A good option in Kolonia. There isn't too much else. Run by Chinese, and they have a restaurant that opens for lunch and dinner, they can do your laundry, and you can hire an SUV car through them too. The beds were comfy, and the TV could get YouTube. Bottled water provided. The air con worked well too. Walking distance from the airport, but they picked me up and stopped me off. Very kind."

The hotel looks a bit grim and unappealing from outside. Could do with a lick of paint, and cheering up.

Very small rooms, food options r limited and very expensive, exchange rate at reception is very poor, toiletries in room is very limited, not easy to find a taxi, no mini markets/shops around.

The bathroom - at least in our room - must be defenitely renewed (with a new shower box instead of an old bathtube with plastic curtain)

"Everything about this hotel exceeded expectations! The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The location is absolutely perfect - right near Plaza de Armas, making it easy to walk to all the main restaurants, shops, and tour starting points. The high-end restaurant on-site offers excellent food and service, which was very convenient. Having a spa available at the hotel was a wonderful amenity - perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. They provided excellent recommendations and assistance with arranging tours."

Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. The hotel delivered on all fronts and provided an exceptional experience throughout our stay.

"Prima kamer aan de tuin met zwembad. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ik kreeg een ‘complimentary late check out’ tot 15.00, vanwege mijn vlucht in de avond."

"De lokatie is niet te verslaan. Lopend vanuit de ferry naar het hotel. De nieuwbouw is erg mooi met prima faciliteiten (gym) en pool. Uitzicht geweldig en bijna iedere ochtend een nieuw cruise schip dat vlakbij aanmeert."

De oudbouw bevatte het restaurant en ontbijtlokatie. Hier was de lift stuk ..dus 4 etages met de koffers omhoog sjouwen. Het restaurant was niet bijster goed en het ontbijt best duur voor wat het bood. Maar 200 mtr verderop aan de haven was Petit Paris open vanaf 08.30 voor een prima ontbijt voor minder dan de helft.

The only challenge I encounter which requires some improvement is the internet connectivity especially the WFI coverage and connectivity which at times it is very weak while in the room. Otherwise everything else provided by the hotel is exceptionally outstanding.

"The staff and managers were very kind and polite. The rooms and lobby is very clean. The WiFi was full free, but sometimes in some pleases signal was weak. The 24 hours drinking coffee , tea, cakes in lobby if very fantastic. U can use them free during 24 hours."

The lobby doesn't have any view to out ( I mean avenue and street ).

"Fijne grote kamer, thee en koffie faciliteiten en föhn. Prima bedden. Op 1 vd kamers was de waterdruk slecht, dit werd meteen opgelost door een andere kamer aan te bieden. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet"

De kamers zijn behoorlijk gehorig.
