Geen sfeer van samen met andere reizigers

"De rustige ligging in een mooie tuin en een prima plek om andere reizigers te ontmoeten."

Ik had een eigen kamer met douche en toilet geboekt, maar er kwam geen warm water uit de douche. De vorige twee keer dat ik hier verbleef, was dat ook zo.

"Het hostel was schoon, onze kamer zat tegen over de douches en wc's. Dit was top geen last van gehad. Daarnaast ligt het hostel een beetje van het centrum af maar de metro verbinding is top. Wij kwamen na middernacht aan maar het was nog mogelijk om in te checken!!"

Onze kamer had geen raam waardoor het na het slapen muf en stonk. Het was moeilijk om de guur uit de kamer te krijgen. De enige oplossing was door de deur naar de gang open te zetten. Veder rest was het hostel uitermate uitstekend!!

"Sociaal, schoon hostel van alle gemakken voorzien. De eigenaar is geweldig. Heb hier een aantal leuke mensen ontmoet. Goede locatie ook."

"It's a basic place, but nice. The bathroom is clean and functional (and great hot water). The bedroom is perfectly fine for a night or two, but would struggle with lots of packing and unpacking if you were staying a while. Owner is super super friendly and nice."

"De jeugdherberg is mooi gelegen. Van daar kan je wandelingen maken en uitstappen met de bus, in Liechtenstein of over de grens. De tweepersoonskamer heeft een eigen badkamer, goede bedden, een gerieflijke kast, twee kleine tafeltjes als nachtkastjes, een grotere tafel en een ongemakkelijk zitje. Maar er zijn veel zitgelegenhden in het mooie ruime gebouw. Het eten is er goed."

There was no one there when I arrived and no one replied on WhatsApp. I stayed in the living room from 7am to 11am waiting for something to happen when I actually had messaged the owner days before to say I would arrive early and if I could do early check in. Fortunately the lady working there appeared and allowed me to take a bed before check in time around midday! Very kind !

Although I accidentally chose the wrong room when I booked, she allowed me to change it (I wanted a female room) without hesitation. The tap at the kitchen is likking while open. Somw floor tales must be fixed. One of the light bulbs needs replacement.

"It's a cozy hostel with a nice common area, warm shower, enough space everywhere, a small breakfast included, in a nice neighbourhood more relaxed than Old Dhaka, and reasonably close to the metro into the city centre (walkable, or take a rickshaw). It's also close enough to the airport and railway station (by tuktuk or Uber). It has nice restaurants nearby, coffee places and Western fastfood options if you're into that. It is well worth the price of a bed, and probably the only good option in the country if you are a solo traveler/backpacker and you want to meet other travelers. Armin, who manages the Hostel, is a friendly, easy-going guy, and helpful."

The mattresses are a little thin, but to be honest, that was the case in most places in Bangladesh. Don't expect the Hilton when it comes to cleanliness, and you'll be fine.

"Prima hotel voor een kort verblijf. Tram richting centrum stopt er vlakbij, maar het is ook prima te wandelen. personeel was vriendelijk."

"Everything. The place is beautiful, super cozy, and very clean. You can really feel the love and attention to detail everywhere. The chill areas are great to relax, and the breakfast was more than decent. Amélie, the owner, is an amazing host – so kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. Her Auberge is truly a dream."

The only small downside was the location being a bit far from the central bus station, but that’s just a personal preference and didn’t affect the overall great experience.

De waterdruk van de douche mocht iets harder, verder alles goed geregeld!

"Ruime kamer met veel licht, heel huiselijk. Groot dakterras, ook terras beneden. Goede ligging, rustig vlakbij de zee. Ontspannen sfeer. Lekker ontbijt inbegrepen."
