"It's a cozy hostel with a nice common area, warm shower, enough space everywhere, a small breakfast included, in a nice neighbourhood more relaxed than Old Dhaka, and reasonably close to the metro into the city centre (walkable, or take a rickshaw). It's also close enough to the airport and railway station (by tuktuk or Uber). It has nice restaurants nearby, coffee places and Western fastfood options if you're into that. It is well worth the price of a bed, and probably the only good option in the country if you are a solo traveler/backpacker and you want to meet other travelers. Armin, who manages the Hostel, is a friendly, easy-going guy, and helpful."

The mattresses are a little thin, but to be honest, that was the case in most places in Bangladesh. Don't expect the Hilton when it comes to cleanliness, and you'll be fine.

"Gekozen omwille van de locatie en de prijs. St. Pancras treinstation ligt op enkele minuten wandelen. De prijs-kwaliteitverhouding is zeer zeker in orde. We hadden een aparte kamer voor twee personen met stapelbed. Ik heb heerlijk geslapen ─ mijn bestie iets minder, zij vond het bed iets te hard. De kamer heeft geen stoel of tafel, enkel het bed. Omdat de onderste matras wat breder is en uitsteekt, kan je die wel gebruiken om even te gaan zitten. Er is een smalle kleerkast aanwezig met enkele kleerhangers. Verder heeft de kamer ook een kleine lavabo en een vuilnisbak. Het ontbijt is basic. Doordat de ontbijtruimte met keuken beperkt van omvang is en ook wordt gebruikt door reizigers die zelf hun maaltijden bereiden - wat ok is voor alle duidelijkheid - verloopt het in het keukengedeelte chaotischer. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk."

Bepaalde backpackers zijn niet bepaald kind vriendelijk. Het hostel kan hier echter niets aan doen.

"Typical hostel with own room and bathroom with shared kitchen space. Very clean and tidy and also a large lounge and terrace for relaxing. Staff very friendly and the location is excellent, just a 1 min. walk to the lovely Poe beach."

"The funky Dodo is in a perfect location for exploring the charming town of Hopkins. It's a wonderful hostel. We had a private room with really great beds and a nice, large room. It's close to the beach and close to great restaurants and bars. You can also cook for yourself. We had a wonderful four-day stay here."

WiFi kan beter maar weet niet of dat aan het hostel ligt of aan de provider.

"Super aardige receptionist. Mijn bed was redelijk comfortabel, goed uitgerust. Volgende keer ga ik zeker hier boeken."

"The location is a bit remote from the city of Lugano, but the views are wonderful and it's surrounded by nature. The house itself is very cozy, welcoming and well maintained."

Wifi was very poor both in the living room and the private bedroom. I struggled connecting for work. I can't say that this was good value for money considering how far it was from Lugano city centre and all other activity spots. I didn't have breakfast, because it was another 20 francs on top of everything else and that wasn't really ideal for someone travelling on a budget.

"The host was very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. Hostel was close to the center. It was a pleasure to enjoy peacefulness here. Bed was good to sleep. Nice mountainview from the windows. Internet worked perfectly. Shop and museum is very close like villages other services as well."

"De jeugdherberg is mooi gelegen. Van daar kan je wandelingen maken en uitstappen met de bus, in Liechtenstein of over de grens. De tweepersoonskamer heeft een eigen badkamer, goede bedden, een gerieflijke kast, twee kleine tafeltjes als nachtkastjes, een grotere tafel en een ongemakkelijk zitje. Maar er zijn veel zitgelegenhden in het mooie ruime gebouw. Het eten is er goed."

"Louis (eigenaar) is een super vriendelijke man, elke avond eigenlijk wel een praatje gemaakt en hij stond er altijd voor open om te helpen met het een en ander. Ontzettend fijn!"

Fijn om uit de Palm Beach drukte te zijn, tegelijkertijd moet je wel altijd ondernemen om iets te zien/ doen. Niet zo veel écht interessants in de buurt. De bussen gaan daarentegen wel volgens schema, ging allemaal prima!

"Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. De host is een erg blije en vriendelijke man. Alles is "no problem"."

Een aantal keer ging 's ochtends het brandalarm per ongeluk af.

"Ik kon ter plekke op-plussen naar een huisje, zo ver mogelijk van de centrale ruimten. Dit heeft me alle rust gegeven, die ik van deze plek verwachtte. Ik heb heerlijke wandelingen gemaakt, echt geweldig!! Het eten was TOP. Er zijn veel mogelijkheden voor excursies, o.a. naar de gorilla's."

In het weekend was er 's avonds een zang-optreden, van 17-21 uur. dat is tamelijk lang en lukt dan ook niet om dat uit te zitten. Wat ik vervelend vond, omdat er erg weinig gasten waren in dat weekend. het zingen en de muziek kon ik zeker waarderen. In de buurt is een steengroeve, met de wind uit die hoek, waren de industriële geluiden op de camping wel te horen.

"MyFarm is not just a place to sleep. It is a vibrant place full of life. You wake up from the sound of beautiful birds in the morning, you can join the MyFarm team for breakfast and talk about their daily life here. All the staff is super nice and accommodating. It's amazing to be inside such a wonderful place that gives out free education to the people who live around here. I ended up helping out in the different educational programs and I loved every moment of it. I thought I just went for a cheap place to stay that was also social, but I got so much more. I will definitely come back as a volunteer to the project."
