Luxe tenten in Guadeloupe

"Very nice view onto the valley and the volcano. We were watching the stars and shooting stars from the very comfortable bed. Although it was cold outside, the blankets and heater keep you warm. The jacuzzi was nice as well."

The water in the jacuzzi is warm but not hot, but it wasn’t bad and totally acceptable for being in the middle of nowhere.

"Als je naar IJsland gaat moet je wel in een Dome hebben geslapen. Het is echt heel tof! Goede voorzieningen met hottub."

Temperatuur ging niet altijd heel makkelijk, bij aankomst 30 graden wat enorm warm was. Gezet naar 20 graden en dat was fris.

"The kidness of the host. She was really helpful and open to propose solutions when necessary. All the staff was amazing and the showed a lot of hospitality."

Some of the fourniture was a little old and that really impacts the perception of gests. This does not mean that the hotel wasn't clean, it is just a question of maintenance of the fourniture.

"Tropical paradise. The resort is accessible only by boat and up against a national park with lots of lemurs. We were there for five days, four nights in a beachfront bungalow with private facilities. Sun lounges under coconut palms. Local seafood at the restaurant. Hardly any other guests. Affordable for budget travelers."

Ok, cold water showers, but hey.

"The staff were Really friendly and helpful,the food was delicious ,it’s situated on a Beautiful Beach Great chill out area upstairs,hammocks,Bar,a lot of lovely Nicaraguan people,What more could you want ?"

"Super friendly and accommodating hosts. Beautiful views, beautiful accommodations. Highly recommended! The road up the mountain is not for the faint hearted - do not hesitate to ask the hosts to help you."

"wat een prachtige plek in de Wahibi desert. Wij zijn heel hartelijk ontvangen, genoten van een prachtige kamer en een heerlijk buffet en ontbijt."

op de foto is het eerste wat je ziet een zwembad. Er is echter maar 1 villa die dit heeft.

"The hut had a stunning view. The bed was abit small for 2 people to sleep comfortably but we managed. The food from the cafe was great."

"De locatie van het tentenkamp midden in de woestijn, de stilte, de natuur... alles was onbeschrijflijk. Het tentenkamp was van alle faciliteiten voorzien. Het was een ongelooflijke ervaring (brood bakken in het vuur, op woestijnduinen lopen). Het eten was ook heel lekker. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. Mede dank aan onze chauffeur was het zo een onbeschrijflijke ervaring!"

"Russell en Verena zijn de eigenaren en geweldige mensen waar we een heel plezierige tijd mee hebben doorgebracht. De logde is kleinschalig en de tenten zijn prima. Ligging in de bush is geweldig. Nog een groot voordeel is de kookkunst van Verena. Werkelijk fantastisch!!"

The food at dinner could be much better - like simple and fresh. Our guide on game drives delivered at the end but was not inspiring or dedicated

"My son and I spent three weeks traveling around Puerto Rico and this was a wonderful addition to our trip. I love Pitahaya's focus on sustanability and eco traveling, the exclusion of single use water bottles (BRAVO) and attention to composting and recycling. This is something rarely seen on the island and greatly needed. The mattress in the tent was very comfortable and I absolutely loved showing under the stars. A great way to camp if you are unable to bring your personal camp gear or are simply looking for a more comfortable camping experience."

The main light in our tent would only last for a few seconds. We weren't aware that it was motion activated and that made it challenging to play board games and read at night.

"The breakfast was amazing. The hosts were very kind. The view was stunning."

The road to get to the lodge was in terrible shape.

"Het mooie uitzicht en de alpaca’s en lama’s. R was niks dat tegen viel."

Eigenlijk helemaal niks

"Everything from the transfer drive in the lodge 4x4 and boat hop to the island was first class. Our tented accommodation was superb. Loved the outside shower (there is an internal shower). The included game drives and river cruise were fantastic and our guides were friendly and informative. Hippos in the river close by, monkeys in the trees. You really feel you are in the bush. Food, superb. Service, superb. Full stocked mini bar. Seating area around the fire pit, amazing. I could go on all day with positives. Highly recommend 👌"
