Appartementen in Myanmar

"My sister & I stayed 4 nights here! 😍 We loved that… it was great value for money,… there’s a shop downstairs that opened 7 days till late… The location was awesome, right next to DMC, Vailoa, (the best fried chicken franchise on the island 😋)… the twin room was clean, and spacious with 2 x twin beds, sofa lounge, a balcony with clothes airer, a wardrobe, massive shower with hot water, toiletries & towels, kitchen sink with utilities, Tea/Coffee facilities, Aircon & free WiFi…and… The host, (Teresa), was very friendly & welcoming, always willing & present to help out when needed. 😃"

The only issue, was the accommodation is upstairs and carrying heavy luggage upstairs was a little challenging, otherwise, it was excellent value for money. 👍

"Nous avons passé quelques jours très agréables dans ce bel appartement. Les propriétaires étaient très accueillants et très gentils et la communication avec Mme Gisela était excellente. L'appartement était très joli, tout propre, tout neuf et très bien équipé."

"We liked everything! This can not be described by words. One must come and see the exceptionally beautiful nature of Mariovo, this village Zovich and the nearby village Staravina. The accomodation offered everything we needed, the host Mitko, his wife and mother were very friendly and helpful, they make extraordinary food in their restaurant, all fresh and of high quality. We will be back again!"

We really can not think of anything we did not like.

"Zeer lieve mensen. De gastheer spreekt Engels. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid. We kregen nog een muzikaal afscheid door de zoon (op komuz). Het guesthouse ligt een beetje afgelegen maar is desalniettemin op een boogscheut van het nationale park Ala Archa."

"Uitstekende service! Zeer comfortabel en direct aan het strand. Het zwembadwater is warm en perfect met kinderen. Auto kan letterlijk voor de deur parkeren."

The single bed was not comfortable (on one side I was feeling that I was sinking). The A/C wasn't working because the remote control was missing. I contacted the host, he said that he will take care of it, but he did not. To be honest, it wasn't so hot and for most days I did not need the A/C. However, for the last few days of my stay I could really use the A/C, especially at night. The shared fridge could be cleaner. The bathroom did not have a window, it only had a kind of fan on the ceiling which did not work particularly well. As a result, some unpleasant odors persisted and the waters caused by showering could not evaporate very quickly.

There was no local stores near by, it can look a little remote especially at night.

We didn't get the apartment which first booked, but two at no extra charge. At first I was skeptical about the change, but the two hosts communicated this honestly and transparently."

We had two apartments, one was quiet, the other had the windows on the side with various bars, this was a bit noisy. It should be noted that this is a busy old and nice town area.

"Great view, private outside deck, complete kitchen with utensils, free snacks & drinks in the fridge. Friendly hosts."

Steep, winding road up from town. Car access only, almost impossible to walk.

"Perfect location for visiting petra, the host is a very nice gentleman, he gave us a good tour through the apartment and explained everything necessary. It can be a bit cold in the winter but the portable heaters will make up for that. Its a large place."

Het regende bij aankomst waardoor helaas onze 18 holes pitch and putt wedstrijd hier op het terrein niet door kon gaan.

"Facility was extremely nice, high ceilings with crown molding made it feel bigger than it actually was. Decor was very nice, and there were amenities aplenty. Huge balcony facing the Gulf. It felt like we were staying in our own ready-made home, complete with old Bible with plenty of notes :-)"

Refrigerator was very nice and modern, but the ice machine put out ice with mold on it. We checked the ice tray itself, and the ice was fine, so guessing the dispenser was to blame. The jacuzzi jets, as well, blew out particles of mold, some significant, when engaged. We did not see this in the tub until after the water had been drained. We did not let these factors detract from the overall experience, but, but mold is a pretty major thing that we'd suggest checking more often. Be aware that the check-in instructions you get from your booking agency may not reflect actual conditions/requirements, but this is not a problem with the host.

"Het is schoon, netjes en ruim. Gewoon een fijne plek om even te verblijven en te werken. Er is wat rijst, brood, water, eieren en tonijn beschikbaar voor de eerste behoefte. Dit was echt fijn aangezien we laat op de dag aankwamen. Het is ook erg rustig in de nacht. Alice (en ook Zima) zijn oprecht heel erg aardig en helpen je met alles. Een echte aanrader."

De prijs is best wel hoog. Maar er zijn ook niet veel alternatieven in Honiara waar je dit krijgt en zelfvoorzienend bent. Als je in het centrum wilt zijn is het wel wat ver weg. Maar je kan naar de bushalte lopen of een taxi regelen. Voor ons geen probleem.

"Mooi, schoon appartement. Je kan heerlijk bij het zwembad zitten. (Water was in april nog erg koud). Ook bij het zitje voor was het lekker om te zitten. Appartement was groot en compleet. Centrum was ong 5 minuten lopen. Auto kon voor de deur worden geparkeerd."

Het enige mindere maar niet zo heel erge was dat je buitenom naar het zwembad moet. Verder prima appartement
