Het gemis van een comfortabel zitje bij de bungalow. Douchecabine is heel erg aan vervanging toe.

"The host was super friendly and helpful! He helped us arrange room bookings further up the trek and even managed to get us direct flight tickets from Lukla to Kathmandu. Everything went really smoothly — would definitely recommend this place!"

"Fijne sfeer en zeer aardig personeel. Het ligt pal aan het strand en de binnentuin is schaduwrijk en knus. Het bed heeft een klamboe en de kamer wordt niet te warm. Er is ook airco maar die hebben we niet gebruikt. Er is ook veel te zien in het wijkje, dus we hebben ons zeer vermaakt."

"Absolutely beautiful peaceful serene location. We were there Oct and it was cold. It must be amazing in the summer. Some issues with check-in. I guess it was off-season, because there were no staff. We needed to call and there was a small delay getting things organised. The room is huge, aircon/heater works well. Kitchen has most things you need. Fridge, microwave, utensils, etc Ensuite bathroom is large and shower is hot. It suited us perfectly."

10am check out is a bit early. We would have liked to stay around another few hours.

"Top locatie en zo vriendelijk ontvangst. We genoten van het uitgebreide ontbijt en de gerechten uit de kaart in de avond. Wanneer we iets vroegen, kregen we uitleg of een extra kussen."

"Echt een toplocatie. De kamer was goed schoon bij aankomst."

Weinig water uit de douche

"Zeer mooie, nette, ruime, prachtige kamer en badkamer. Een balkon ter beschikking. Koffie, thee met aangevuld drinkbaar water in de waterkoker reeds om thee te maken. Glazen, bestek broadtoaster en koelkast aanwezig. Mooi opgemaakt bed 2 kussens voor elk. En nog een klein kussen. Kan niet beter. Grote tv Airco ter beschikking voor 1 euro heb je 6uur lang airco. Dichtbij de bushalte om naar centrum la Valetta te gaan. Nabij winkels. Goede locatie! Goede communicatie. Zeer responsieve vriendelijke verhuurster. We raden deze plek zeker aan!"

Voor gebruik van de aiirco moet je muntstukken bijhebben van 1 en/of euro. Wel draait het voor 6 a 8uur. Eens je de deur geopend hebt van het balkon sluit het moeilijk. Als de grote tv nog een chomecast zou hebben is deze plek perfect. Koelkast mag koeler. Voor de rest perfect! We raden deze plek ten sterkste aan. Doe zo verder.

"It is a unique carribean cottage, which is a little gem. It is a five minute walk to a lovely beach. We cooked in as the kitchen had everything one required. We had our meal out on the verandah next to the kitchen and watched the sunset. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. When we arrived she tried to book as into a restaurant but it was full so she took us to the local supermarket to ensure we would have a good meal. Keith was also really helpful and a great guy. We wished we had booked it for longer."

We liked it all.

"The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent. The best we had in the Dominican Republic so far and the price is extremely reasonable. The staff was professional and friendly. I would definitely go back for the food and for the comfortable room."

We had to change room as we didn’t know from the description, that it was in a shared apartment. That information should be clear on booking.

"Lokatie was geweldig, tegen een heuvel aan geplaatst met zich op een groende vallei. Veel vogels vanaf het balkon gespot. Heerlijke omgeving ook om te wandelen. Zwembad was prima. Een avond aan het diner deelgenomen. Was prijzig maar erg leuk."

De weg er naar toe was een kleine uitdaging, maar daar kon Zimbali niets aan doen. Even opletten, er ligt een waakse Duitse herder bij de deur. Eerst de eigenaar sms-en / bellen en dan pas binnengaan.

"Het huisje is vrijstaand met veel ruimte eromheen, de ligging is prachtig. Er is een leuk vijvertje met grote libellen en een compostvat achterin de grote tuin. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Hoogtepunten: vuurkorf met gratis brandhout, ligstoelen onder een prieel, vrij uitzicht over groen, beekje naast het huis, aardige eigenaar."

Op de foto's zou je het niet zeggen, maar het ligt vrij dicht aan een weg waar wel regelmatig auto's rijden (meer dan we hadden verwacht). We hadden hier verder geen last van. We hadden moeite met de tv maar konden ons goed redden met het prima internet. De slaapkamer is heel klein, dus als de achterste persoon 's nachts eruit moet, zal die over de andere persoon heen moeten klimmen. Vonden wij geen probleem.

Het was voor ons iets te groot, we vinden kleinschaligere locaties fijner, maar dat wisten we van te voren

Let goed op de locatie als je geen auto hebt. Op sommige dagen zijn er geen eetgelegenheden op loopafstand.

"Top locatie en zo vriendelijk ontvangst. We genoten van het uitgebreide ontbijt en de gerechten uit de kaart in de avond. Wanneer we iets vroegen, kregen we uitleg of een extra kussen."

Kleine kamer

"Schitterende plek net ietsje buiten het drukke centrum, echter je loopt er binnen 8 minuten naartoe. Het huisje was ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien! Je hebt een beetje het gevoel of je onderdeel uitmaakt van de lokale bewoners: de kindergeluiden en muziek op straat (tot ongeveer 22.00), het vele hondengeblaf en een kakofonie van haaiengekraai in de vroege ochtend. Hier moet je dus wel een beetje tegen kunnen. Er is niet echt een receptie, dus je moet het zelf een beetje uitzoeken, maar dat heeft ook wel weer zijn charme en voelt of het je eigen huisje is."
