"Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"Simple and wonderfully personal. Great little cottage with stunning views of the Atiu forests and genuinely friendly help from the proprietor. Everything worked like it should. Great stay, sad to leave."

Het was voor ons iets te groot, we vinden kleinschaligere locaties fijner, maar dat wisten we van te voren

"Absolutely beautiful peaceful serene location. We were there Oct and it was cold. It must be amazing in the summer. Some issues with check-in. I guess it was off-season, because there were no staff. We needed to call and there was a small delay getting things organised. The room is huge, aircon/heater works well. Kitchen has most things you need. Fridge, microwave, utensils, etc Ensuite bathroom is large and shower is hot. It suited us perfectly."

10am check out is a bit early. We would have liked to stay around another few hours.

"The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent. The best we had in the Dominican Republic so far and the price is extremely reasonable. The staff was professional and friendly. I would definitely go back for the food and for the comfortable room."

We had to change room as we didn’t know from the description, that it was in a shared apartment. That information should be clear on booking.

Malheureusement été déçus par le jacuzzi qui ne fonctionnait pas. C'est le point qui nous a le plus dérangés et qui a gâché le séjour car j'ai payé un supplément pour profiter de cette option avec mes enfants cela devait être une surprise. Je tiens tout de même à remercier le membre du personnel qui a tenté de faire une réparation. Malgré ses efforts et sa bonne volonté, le problème n'a pas pu être résolu. C'est dommage de ne pas avoir pu en profiter durant notre séjour.

Kleine kamer

"Heerlijke, tropische tuin met sfeervolle, ruime villa's en uitstekende catering en service. In de grote, overkapte loungeruimte wordt liefdevol ontbijt, lunch en diner geserveerd. Daar kun je ook relaxed werken of ontspannen. Voor mij voelde Eco Villas als een paradijs. Ligt 10 min met 'boda of tuktuk' van mooiste stranden vandaan (ten noorden of zuiden van 't centrum) of ga lekker te voet op ontdekkingstocht langs eindeloze reeks winkeltjes en stalletjes langs de weg richting Watamu Beach, waar 'Paradise' een hemels strandtentje is!"

In dit paradijsje neem je locale/regionale storingen in elektra-voorziening en wifi voor lief. (Er is een generator aanwezig voor langere storingen) Betalen gebeurt cash bij vertrek (of via M-pesa app)

"Gastvrijheid, veiligheid. Je kon altijd bij de eigenaar of beveiliger terecht, als je hulp nodig had. Door al dat groen kom je volledig tot rust."

"The room was incredibly comfortable and clean. It was very quiet and we felt like home. New AC, clean and well attained. The surroundings are excellent as well as the neighbourhood is peaceful and quiet. Accessibility was good. It is a little far from the city but there is a bus stop about five minutes from the property where the Airport bus stops. A rental vehicle would be recommended. We knew that and the remote location was very soothing for us."

The outside property had some very minor issues; it felt a bit barren and the pool could‘ve been better maintained. We would have liked simple room cleaning very days without having to ask for it because it made us feel a bit uncomfortable to request it. Plus, to avoid all these plastic bottles, we would have appreciated a shared water filter station at the property.

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

"Locatie tov vliegveld. Personeel erg aardig Ruime chalets. We verbleven er maar een aantal uren om te rusten en te douchen alvorens te vliegen. Voor ons ideaal. Goede prijs kwaliteit"

"Very well situated , our room was spacious , nice balcony and a view of the river. Resteraunt on site was very nice and staff friendly and helpful."

Toilet was not flushing properly , but not much of a problem.

"Lokatie was geweldig, tegen een heuvel aan geplaatst met zich op een groende vallei. Veel vogels vanaf het balkon gespot. Heerlijke omgeving ook om te wandelen. Zwembad was prima. Een avond aan het diner deelgenomen. Was prijzig maar erg leuk."

De weg er naar toe was een kleine uitdaging, maar daar kon Zimbali niets aan doen. Even opletten, er ligt een waakse Duitse herder bij de deur. Eerst de eigenaar sms-en / bellen en dan pas binnengaan.

"Een mooi autentiek hotel op eeen mooie plek tussen de bergen. Heel aardig en gastvrij ontvangen. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig maar goed van kwaliteit"

Het slapen op de fouton matras in de Japanse kameris wat tegen gevallen

"Als je met de trein reist is de ligging naast het station ideaal. Ook, als het goed weer is, is het uitzicht prachtig. Ruime kamer met blik naar twee zijden. Goed ontbijt"

Let goed op de locatie als je geen auto hebt. Op sommige dagen zijn er geen eetgelegenheden op loopafstand.

"very good location uphill, very far from street noise. we enjoyed seaview and city lights at horizon, that fara we could see from the highest small house. we got some hammocks up there and were having fun next to the amazing nature whilst chilling on the balcony, thanks to guys who secured our stay"

"Чудове місце для відпочинку сімʼєю. Дуже задоволені. Було дуже затишно і комфортно. Велика територія біля котеджа – є все необхідне для барбекю, альтанки і качелі для дітей. Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.
