"Hat eine super Poolanlage mit Schattenplätzen zum sitzen. Das Personal ist super freundlich und das Essen schmeckt gut. Die Zimmer sind gross, haben eine Klimaanlage und einen Deckenventilator. Das Gran Calao ist sehr kinderfreundlich."

"The room is clean and huge in size. Even the location is good for accessing shops and restaurant and not far from the center."

As I enter the room, there is a strong smell of smoke. They need to ensure that the room is properly ventilated so that the smoke odour doesn't linger. Additionally, they don't provide soap or shampoo in the bathroom. It can also be quite exhausting to stay in a hotel with steep stairs and no elevator.

As it was late in the season, we were the only guests. Sandra was very helpful and set our breakfast out for us before she had to go out to work. The breakfast was rather unappetising with cheap sliced bread & ham, plentiful, but unappealing.

"Het ontbijt was prima en werd geserveerd waar je maar wilde: we hebben dus iedere dag zalig ontbeten met uitzicht op zee. De locatie was prachtig, kamers ruim en mooi ingericht, inclusief TV, koelkast en airco. Alle ruimten zin enorm schoon (en niet alleen voor Sinaï begrippen). Maar het fijnste van Nakhil Inn is de staf: echt iedereen doet zijn best je een geweldige ervaring te geven. je voelt je er vanaf de eerste tot en met de laatste seconde echt een gewilde gast!"

Oeh ikkan echt alleen maar bedenken dat we te snel naar huis moesten!

"Zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Olga, alsof je bij vrienden op bezoek bent. Ze is behulpzaam. Kamer ruim, alles wat je nodig hebt. Badkamer klein maar prima. Fijne douch. Ontbijt prima, fijne stoelen in de tuin en lekker zwembadje om af te koelen. 10 minuten lopen van de ferry en busstation. 10 minuten lopen van het mooie oude deel. Veel leuke restaurantjes in het oude centrum."

As in a lot of places the wifi sometimes doesn't work but that is not specifically for this place though. I blame Africell 😊

"The hotel was stunning! Set in the jungle and in beautiful wooden cabins, it feels like low-key luxury. The restaurant was lovely, it’s quite popular on the island but the staff make sure hotel guests get good tables and are catered for. It’s very very quiet, so if you are looking for relaxation it’s perfect. The grounds are beautifully curated, it feels like you are staying in a botanical garden. The general manager was a gem, he sorted out a small issue with our room very quickly and was so hospitable for the rest of our stay, he couldn’t do enough to help. Can’t wait to go back one day!"

Some people would take issue not having AC, but it’s definitely cool enough and there is no reason to have them.

"We had a fantastic stay at Trinity Family Inn! The family took extremely good care of us and they are such good people. The room was sparkling clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone to stay there!"

"Er zijn slechts 2 kamers (van de 15) met een raam. Als je zo'n kamer boekt is het zeker een goede verblijfplaats. Ideaal, centraal gelegen met zicht op de rivier, vlakbij de (weinige) bezienswaardigheden, vlakbij winkels en restaurants, frigo, goede airco en ventilator, klein badkamertje, voldoende grote en stille kamer. Als je iets nodig hebt, vraag het gewoon. De gang en lift zijn niet al te mooi maar alles is functioneel. Wij waren heel blij dat we hier zaten. Je kunt het leven op de rivier en op straat gadeslaan vanop je kamer. Voor BSB waren we heel tevreden. Ik zou hier niet willen zitten in een kamer zonder raam. Ter info: er is echt niet veel te zien in Brunei. Een dag is meer dan voldoende. Neem zeker een boottrip om de neusapen te zien. Wij betaalden 30 B$ voor anderhalf uur. Taxi naar de luchthaven max. 12 B$."

"Awesome host. I couldn’t believe the photos from the previous reviews but it’s true, all the photos you see are truly about a 10 step walk from the bedrooms. Simple, but incredible place to stay. The host will make sure you’re well looked after, help you with the tours/ self guided tours nearby and is very helpful with transport knowledge. We loved this place! I will say, if you’re vegan or veggie it’s hard to find food nearby, so maybe ask the host in advance if you can cook some simple food. They let us cook noodles ❤️❤️"

"Het is in het centrum heeft goede kamers een dakterras waar ruimte om te Roken en de mogelijkheid gebruik te maken van restaurant beneden ook een goed restaurant en er wordt uitgebreid keuzeontbijt geserveerd ook is er een bakkerij met stokbrood en veel verschillend gebak koeken"

"Als soloreiziger op wandel werd ik heel goed ontvangen en ik had een upgrade van 1 persoons naar tweepersoonsbed. Het eten ‘s avonds was heel lekker en de eigenaars kwamen spontaan een babbel doen en ze vertelden wat over de streek."

There were regular power cuts in the city during our stay (not the hotels fault). The roads outside can be quite noisy at times

"Super aardige en gezellige mensen en heel confortabele kamer met goede douche en voorzieningen. Niets was teveel. Veel informatie van ze gekregen over het eiland en wat er allemaal te doen was. Ze regelden een taxi naar het vliegveld en checkten tussendoor of we het wel naar onze zin hadden. Perfect dus! Vlakbij het strand (twee straatjes oversteken). Je stapt het hotel uit en dan kun je meteen de 'bus' nemen naar Maho of naar Marigot. Kostte maart 2 dollar."

Niets viel echt tegen. Badkamer lag buitenbaden kamer, maar dat past wel bij zo’n oud huis.
