There was nothing at all to fislike

"Locatie is iets meer afgelegen tov stadscentrum waar wel nabij busstation. Er is redelijk wat horeca in de directe omgeving maar allen ook wat verlaten. Ik verbleef er 1 nacht omdat het vlakbij het ziekenhuis ligt. De familie is gastvrij en vriendelijk, het hotel en de kamer is brandschoon. Het ontbijt is met liefde klaargemaakt."

"Everything was good, enjoyed my 4 night stay. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very attentive and helpful! The airport transfer service was a real life saver!"

Nothing in particular. The hotel is a bit old and dated, but everything worked fine.

"Personeel was heel vriendelijk en dacht in alles mee. Ontbijt was heel gevarieerd en lekker. Zwembad en sauna (toeslag voor de sauna) waren heerlijk. Kamer was prima."

"De mensen van het hotel, de receptionisten die hielpen ons enorm, en wisselden spontaan de kamer om omdat wij hadden vergeten op te geven dat mijn vrouw moeilijk loopt. Wij hebben in totaal 35 nachten gelogeerd dus kamer op vrijwel begane grond is belangrijk. Verder de hygiëne héél belangrijk in de tropen was erg goed. De mensen die de kamers deden waren erg vriendelijk en vroegen ons steeds of ze de kamer mochten doen. Ze werkten erg hard. Verder aangenaam verrast door het zwembad waar je vrijwel alleen kan zwemmen. De tuin was erg goed onderhouden."

Kleine dingen, zoals op de begane grond in de badkamer misschien een douchestoel plaatsen zodat oudere mensen kunnen zitten als ze gaan douchen. Vanwege de ruimte zou dat opklapbaar kunnen.

"Breakfast was good and most of the time it has variety. Staff are fantastic.The omelette bar was the best as the other hot food is in bain-marie and is not as good."

Great room and fabulous views of the bay. I loved waking up in the morning and watching the boats going up and down the bay.

The bathroom could use some work and a deep scrubbing.

"Het personeel was heel behulpzaam en heel vriendelijk. De kamer was heel proper en werd dagelijks onderhouden. Er was ook veel opbergruimte."

Er was 1 raam in de kamer dat niet goed sloot waardoor we af en toe 's nachts wel hinder hadden van een blaffende hond, voorbijwandelende mensen of muziek. Verder was het wel rustig in de kamer. Dus wanneer het raam wordt hersteld, is de ligging van de kamer perfect.

For the price they should offer a breakfast included option

"A good option in Kolonia. There isn't too much else. Run by Chinese, and they have a restaurant that opens for lunch and dinner, they can do your laundry, and you can hire an SUV car through them too. The beds were comfy, and the TV could get YouTube. Bottled water provided. The air con worked well too. Walking distance from the airport, but they picked me up and stopped me off. Very kind."

The hotel looks a bit grim and unappealing from outside. Could do with a lick of paint, and cheering up.

"The breakfast buffet was good quality if a little expensive, make sure you book day before to get a discount."

The bacon and sausages at breakfast were not the best but this is usual for Korea. Westerners might notice this, Koreans won't mind them at all.

"The hotel is in a very central location, meaning that you can easily navigate by foot or by taxi to many of the malls that you are close by. The breakfast is amazing and sufficiently varied to satisfy most palates."

"This hotel is at the higher end of the price range but i keep returning as they have an EXCELLENT restaurant and very professional friendly staff. Many of the staff are long term employees and are true hospitality staff. I just hope they are appreciated by Mendana senior management."

The reticulated TV system requires some work as reception is poor and the room lighting is not real good. Also, we stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms and the maintenance manager should be aware that many of the newly laid floor tiles are "drummy" and will require repairs very soon.

"De locatie was fantastisch. Midden in het oude centrum, veilig, parkeren was goed en de prijs-kwaliteit was helemaal goed. Het hotel zelf was super leuk. Mooie binnenplaats en leuk opgezet. Aanrader"

Onze voordeur had twee ramen. Hierdoor scheen er de hele nacht licht van buiten naar binnen. Dit had wat mij betreft met gordijnen afgedicht kunnen worden.

"Het hotel ligt in een rustige straat, op wandelafstand van een park en winkelcentra. Er zijn veel restaurants in de buurt."

Het is een tikkeltje gedateerd, maar wel erg schoon met vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt is erg basic en ga niet te laat want dan is niet alles meer beschikbaar.

Ik heb niet één minpunt, ook geen minpunt van ondergeschikt belang.

"Het was gewoon een goed hotel op een perfecte locatie. Dicht bij mijn favoriete park. Het ontbijt is één van de beste ontbijten die ik in een hotel op mogen krijgen!"

Alkes was goed.

"Zeer comfortabel qua locatie en toegankelijkheid, aan de rand van de oude stad. Behulpzame en sympathieke mensen, zowel aan receptie als restaurant. Kamers van alle gemakken voorzien, radiator in kamer af te stellen! Heerlijke risotto in restaurant!"

Alles was prima.

"Vooral als je wilt reizen met de bus, bijvoorbeeld naar het noorden, naar de Victoria Falls, dan is dit een ideale plek. Het hotel ligt aan het busstation, waar alle bussen hun halteplaats hebben. De bestemming staat aangegeven bij de halte en als de bus vol is vertrekt deze. Het hotel is prima."

The pool was often closed to guests

"Ontzettend fijn hotel. Ze helpen je werkelijk met alles! We werden geholpen met parkeren en met onze koffers, we kregen extra lakens en mochten iets later uitchecken. Super! Ontbijt is goed en uitgebreid. Airco is uitstekend. We raden dit hotel iedereen aan."

Het huis zou wel een likje verf kunnen gebruiken en iets meer aandacht voor de hygiëne in de badkamer.

De prijs was in realiteit nog iets hoger dan via booking.com werd aangegeven.

"Fantastische locatie in het midden van de baai. Behulpzaam en supervriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk, enorm uitgebreid ontbijt met voor ieder wat wils. Wij hebben zelfs een gratis upgrade gekregen naar een grote kamer met terras, heel luxe!"

Onze kamer zat vol met muggen die maar bleven komen, ondanks dichte deuren en ramen. De temperatuur van de douche was niet goed te regelen en wisselde steeds, de waterdruk was wat aan de lage kant.

The lack of the cleanliness of the pool (because of breakfast nearby, lots of things fly away in it). Drinkable water in the bar was not free (4-star hotel)

"Fijne grote kamer, thee en koffie faciliteiten en föhn. Prima bedden. Op 1 vd kamers was de waterdruk slecht, dit werd meteen opgelost door een andere kamer aan te bieden. Zeer uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet"

De kamers zijn behoorlijk gehorig.

"Dagelijks zelf je vers fruitsap kunnen persen is voor mij een meerwaarde. Alles wat je maar kan wensen is aanwezig, elke dag opnieuw. Wellness is een aanrader ! Heel mooi ingericht, waar een serene sfeer heerst."

Eten en drinken was wat duur ten opzichte van lokale prijzen naast de deur.
