Pensions op Palau

"Well kept clean house. The owner tried really hard to reach Western standard of living (limited by being in the Solomons of course). Solar hot water, large fridge/freezer of 300L plus. 24 hour electricity. No aircon but the house is extremely well ventilated. Open plan big kitchen, 4 burner gas hob, huge lounge with modern couches. 2 rooms + 1 bathroom on each side of the lounge, so totally 4 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Rooms are spacious, clean. Hot water shower! I wish I could share photos but booking.com doesn't have upload button."

1. The cost is per person, not per room, but somehow not clearly displayed on booking.com. 2. This is an isolated house on the water edge, private and peaceful, but 40min walking through muddy path to get to seghe town/Airport although a boat transfer is only 5min. You need to bring all your food in and cook during your stay. 3. You need to enquire about the boat transfer cost, to be clear what trips are included, and what are not, otherwise you will have surprise bill in the end. 4. The water pump stopped during my 2 showers, someone needed to run downstairs to restart the pump so I could finish my showers. 5. There is no mirror in the entire house, and no towel rails in either bathroom. Maybe the owner can install them?

"Gezellig guesthouse. Lekker dichtbij de mooiste nightmarkt van Laos en andere dingen. Fietsen gaat goed."

"La atención de Wilmer Verónica y Arnold. La ubicación y el acceso a la playa. La cocina de uso común muy cómoda y espaciosa. La vista al mar desde la habitación."

La cama es un poco incomoda y la habitación bastante calurosa para el verano pero hay un ventilador.

"Vriendelijke gastvrouw en -heer. Als je wilde kon Vatka lekker voor je koken. Landelijke omgeving."

Zelf koken ging niet makkelijk. Moest in het kleine keukentje, Vatka hielp dan wel.

The only bad experience was that there was no WiFi connection. I was unable to communicate with friends and family back home which made them worried and scared.

"Het huis was groter dan we dachten. Bed lag heerlijk. Eten was met liefde bereid. Gastheer was super vriendelijk. Locale bar was ook een verassing om mee te maken. Moest even wennen aan de locale douche en de wc, maar uiteindelijk prima. En wij hadden een fijne auto om door de locale straatjes, offroad naar Hotel te rijden"

As all activities and transport are organized by the host, I sometimes had to wait quite long time for the driver to arrive. This was not the hosts fault, but it is important to know when planning a trip to Tanna.

"The owners were right next door and very accomodating. They were very nice people.The apartment was clean and everything was provided. The air conditioner worked well and there was a little outdoor porch with a breeze. There was also a washing machine in the apartment."

Thibaud is rather isolated and buses are few and far between.

"The staff was very friendly, helpful & efficient Lots of good places to eat, supermarket with imported goods & sundry shops all at walking distance There's a mini refrigerator, ironing board & washing machine for such a good price!"

The only drawback was the heater kept switching off & I had to get the staff to turn it on a few times

"Great location 3 minutes walk from the main square, a beautiful cave room and a hotel with a character. Stunning views from the restaurant, very helpful and professional receptionist (Fifi). Breakfast with a wide choice of food."

Wifi was very poor in our room, but it worked well in the hotel restaurant

"Úžasný pan a paní domácí. ❤️ Moc ochotní lidé. Stále k dispozici. Kdybych se vrátila do Ulcinj, určitě bych toto ubytování zvolila znovu. Chybí mi ty naše snídaně na hezké terase. Měli jsme slunný pokojík, na pravé straně, směr k ulici."

Měli jsme to trochu dál od Velké pláže a začátek Velké pláže je přeplněný turisty, tak jsme museli každý den jezdit autem. Ke starému městu také daleko. Ale bylo to blízko k hezké skalnaté části a živé ulici na začátku Velké pláže. V ubytování mne překvapila společná kuchyň, ale nakonec jsme si zvykli a byla možnost poznat i naše sousedy, hehe. 👍🏻

Geen airco aanwezig waardoor wel warm op de kamers.

"Our group of 20 had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stellas in Ziemupe. The holiday home exceeded our expectations, with 10 spacious bedrooms that perfectly accommodated each couple. The jacuzzi was a fantastic addition, and having a private beach just 400 meters away was a dream! We spent a beautiful day and night enjoying the peaceful surroundings and watching a stunning sunset by the sea. The two kitchens, one large and one smaller, made meal preparations easy and seamless for our group. The host was incredibly responsive, ensuring our check-in was smooth and that we had everything we needed. The thoughtful amenities provided made our weekend stay feel effortless and relaxing. "Excelente el tamaño de la habitación incluyendo su cama con sus múltiples capas de colchas para arroparse. Tenia un parador pequeño para colocar los objetos y mochilas. El baño contaba con agua caliente al girar la perilla derecha con la izquierda al ser el de frío regulaba que tan caliente uno deseaba. Excelente servicio a la habitación, incluso proveen con más rollo de papel higiénico en caso de requerir. El hotel y sus lugares aledaños son muy tranquilos y seguros. Igual uno debe ser precavido para evitar cualquier situación. La dueña del hotel responde casi inmediatamente si se presenta una novedad."

Lamentablemente uno se percató al momento de elegir en booking.com. No especifiqué desayunos, por ende no recibí mi desayuno. La habitación no estaba aislada del frío - no contaba con calefactor. La habitación solo contaba con dos jabones y no contaba con 1 satchet/frazo pequeño de shampoo.

"Der Frühstück war aus lokalen Produkten, ganz fein und serviert direkt im schönen Garten. C’est le plus beau et agréable endroit pour passer un moment de joie. L’accueil est adorable et sincère. L’histoire de la maison comble le reste. C’est tout simplement un musée vivant , qu’on ne peut pas oublié. Aucun compliment peut exprimer notre joie ici. Das ist ein Paradies zum wohnen und zum genießen. Wir wünschen Maguy weiter viele Liebe for ihre Gäste."

"Wonderful apartment. Clean, comfortable, stylish. Large parking. Very friendly host. He even served us a light breakfast, which is rare for an apartment. The only thing I would add is a microwave in addition to the electric grill in the apartment, but that's a minor detail. I would recommend this apartment to my friends."

"We hadden last minute een gewone kamer geboekt, maar kregen een suite met een aparte zitkamer. Het hotel ligt aan het centrale plein van het stadje. We kregen vooraf ook een heel lange en sympathieke mail van de uitbaatster die je een goed beeld gaf van wat je wel en niet mocht verwachten."

Ik vond de bedden wat hard, en omdat we een kamer aan de voorkant hadden, hoorden we ook het geratel van de autobanden op de kasseien aan het centrale plein.
