"The view is great. Nice pool. Location is like 5min away of the beach. Very quiet neighborhood."

No filters for the coffee maker. The streets are in bad shape once you drop off the Main Street to get to the house.

"Al het contact verliep via bericht, maar de staff antwoordde snel en was zeer behulpzaam. De keuken heeft veel faciliteiten. De bedden waren comfortabel. De mogelijkheid om fietsen te huren maakte ons verblijf hier fenomenaal!"

In het plaatsje zelf is niet veel te beleven maar dat kan de locatie niets aan doen.

"The personal attention of the wonderful owner stood out for us. He went out of his way to collect us from the ferry and take us to the airport the next day. He provided us with a fabulous breakfast too - the best we’ve had over our whole trip. We loved meeting him and talking to him."

There wasn’t anything we disliked.

I think the aesthetics could be improved. A bit of love into gardening and the outdoor settings for the guests.

"We hadden last minute een gewone kamer geboekt, maar kregen een suite met een aparte zitkamer. Het hotel ligt aan het centrale plein van het stadje. We kregen vooraf ook een heel lange en sympathieke mail van de uitbaatster die je een goed beeld gaf van wat je wel en niet mocht verwachten."

Ik vond de bedden wat hard, en omdat we een kamer aan de voorkant hadden, hoorden we ook het geratel van de autobanden op de kasseien aan het centrale plein.

geen stopcontacten aan beide kanten van het bed, sowieso te weinig stopcontacten op kamer. Geen tv.

"Prachtige kamer in het souterrain, parkeren voor de deur, restaurants om de hoek, handige code om binnen te komen."

Voor ons was alles prima.

"Gezellig guesthouse. Lekker dichtbij de mooiste nightmarkt van Laos en andere dingen. Fietsen gaat goed."

Intermittent electricity due to poor infrastructure in Mount Hagen. The room is outside off a veranda so when it rains and the wind blows you might also get wet when going inside to use the toilet. I would have preferred a firmer mattress and slightly larger room.

"The place is not a 5-star guest house, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were better than some of the hotels I have stayed in across Africa. My bed was even a TV bed — I connected my MP3 player and listened to music through the bed speakers… great experience! The location is excellent, with the airport just a stone’s throw away. The staff even went out to buy takeaway food for me when I requested it, which I really appreciated. I do wish they had WiFi, but I understand they may be keeping their costs down. However, I was given a pre-loaded SIM card to make calls to my family, which was a thoughtful gesture."

Card machine was broken, so payment was much more complicated than expected

De chauffeur die ons van het vliegveld haalde had niet het goede bord met namen bij zich, dus veel verwarring. Fout van het hotel?

"De kleinschaligheid en de gastvrijheid van de eigenaar. Ook de locatie is prettig, dichtbij het vliegveld en centrum. En alles is zeer schoon. Niet spiksplinternieuw maar keurig netjes. Fijne bedden."

"De host was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We konden borden en bestek krijgen, was niet op de kamer. Dicht bij het strand. Wij hadden ochtendzon op het balkon. Er werd om de 2/3 dagen schoongemaakt en schone handdoeken."

Lawaai van de doorgaande weg. Geen binnenzitje. Hele krappe badkamer.

"Het restaurant van het hotel is erg gezellig en kent vriendelijke personeel."

Je moet je badkamer delen met andere mensen. Vaak bezet en ziet er niet echt netjes uit in de ochtenden en avonden. Met een gezin wil je toch een eigen badkamer.

"Perfect location for the event we were attending Easy access to everything we needed. The house was gorgeous, great floor plan, very comfortable, toys were great for our toddler. Loved the little outdoor seating areas!!"

Not too clean (still very acceptable and I would return). Single bed (would loved to have 2 separate beds). Air conditioner is fairly weak.

"Warm welcome from the staff, very comfortable room and home-like feeling. Designated room for smoking so we did not have to feel the smell at all. Kids loved the chess available to play."
