"Great location by the sea and near the harbour. Nice, old-fashioned interior decoration, mirroring the age of some of the buildings. Very friendly staff who let us keep our freezer packs in their freezer. We went kayaking for one night, could leave our car at their parking lot, and when we came back we could use their facilities to get a fresh water shower."

Room didn’t look exactly how it does in the pictures, but was still nice. There were a lot of mosquitoes around though and I did get bitten in the night a lot due to no mosquito net, so make sure you wear repellent. Location is on the opposite side of bikini beach and next to the prison, but as the island is so small it’s still only a 15 minute walk away from the restaurants and main beach, however something to consider.

"Locatie was perfect om Reykjavik te bezoeken. Op 200 meter heb je bushalte Klambratun waar je met buslijn 3(BSI busterminal) of 6 direct in het centrum bent. Lijn 55 brengt je naar de luchthaven. De citycard geeft je trouwens toegang tot gratis openbaar vervoer. Indien je dit niet wenst, wandel je ongeveer 15 minuten tot het centrum. De eigenaars van het guesthouse waren zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt was eenvoudig maar lekker. Voor ons is die hele poespas 's morgens niet nodig."

Het viel niet echt tegen maar het was een beetje jammer dat je gedurende de dag de koffiemachine niet kan gebruiken. Na een lange wandeling of een uitstap kan een tas koffie deugd doen.

Kamer was wat oud en klein. Vooral toilet en douche was wel echt niet meer van deze tijd.

"Heerlijk ruim appartement met zitje buiten. Het bed was fantastisch en lekker groot. De hostess heeft ons zo gastvrij ontvangen. En ons verteld over Aruba. En een taxi geregeld! Heel tof !"

Accommodatie is helemaal prima maar lekker buiten zitten kon ik niet vanwege de muggen.

"De kamer was uit een Oosters sprookje, met een geweldige nis waar het bed in lag en een prachtige douche waar ik in zou kunnen scuba diven als ik hem als bad had kunnen gebruiken. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte is een droom en zo knus. Ik moest even wennen aan de wapperende vlaggetjes maar uiteindelijk bracht juist dat me in slaap. De breakfast / lunchroom die in het hotel ligt serveert heerlijk eten. Ik werd door Amira ontvangen alsof ik familie was en als female solo traveller waardeerde ik het enorm dat ze regelmatig even checkte hoe het met mij ging. Ik voelde me helemaal thuis toen de tweede dag de kat van het hotel mij adopteerde en vanaf dat moment elke nacht bij me sliep, 8 nachten lang."

Soms deed het water van de douche het niet, dan was er denk ik net elders in het hotel gedoucht. Het matras was aan vervanging toe, maar als je alleen bent kan je best een comfortabele plek vinden en heerlijk slapen.

Facing the emergency situation, Mr Fadiga kindly confirmed and ensure there would be a room available for me. He told me that Mr Manet would pick me up from the airport and all promises were kept. Mr Manet was professional, friendly and helpful from the beginning to the end. He took me everyday to the the conference I had come to attend (1 hour away) and back. He was always punctual and easy to reach. This was an excellent service. The room was very large and clean. The hot water tank, air con and TV worked perfectly."

"This is a family recreational resort with some dorms. Mine was inside the main building near the inside pool and table tennis area. The showers and two toilets are those used by the pool guests. I was fortunate to have only one female dorm mate. There are lockers outside in the hallway and you are given a room key. The manager kindly lent me sheets. I liked the location in the woods not far from the pedestrian street."

The kitchen could use some new utensils. There were no cups or glasses, just some plastic cups.

"We hadden 2 nette, schone, ruime kamers met airco én fan en muskietennet. Ruime badkamer met aparte wc en douche cel met heerlijke warm water en goede straal. Ook een overdekt zitje buiten voor de kamer. Wel veel muggen. Niet gehorig! Vriendelijke eigenaar. Guesthouse zit midden in Hikkaduwa, vlakbij de zee en winkels en restaurants. Een echte aanrader."

Het is niet ver van een prachtig strand, alleen je moet net even een drukke weg over.

Het guesthouse ligt ver van het busstation. In Belmopan valt niets te beleven, wel in de omgeving, maar dan is een eigen auto handig . Met de bus kom je niet ver en kost te veel tijd

Er waren wel wat muggen, dus sprayen is de boodschap. Ik kan anders niks opmerken. De électriciteit viel hier ook even uit. Wat vaak gebeurd in Afrika

"Мястото е чудесно. Дизайнът на помещението и осветлението са добре обмислени. Матракът е много удобен. Домакинята е отзивчива."

По информация от сайта - размерът на стаята е 15 кв.м. За стая Nо 2 тази квадратура вероятно включва и банята, и балкона. Стаята е изключително малка. За една-две нощи е ОК, но за по-дълга ваканция за двама не е за предпочитане. Би било добре да се постави закачалка за връхни дрехи (към момента липсва).

"Ontzettend mooi en charmant hotel. Wij verbleven in een kamer voor 3 personen met aangrenzend een badkamer. De kamer was zeer ruim met comfortabele bedden. Het hotel heeft een zwembad op de binnenpatio (kan wellicht wat lawaaierig zijn voor de kamers die hieraan grenzen) en een dakterras. Ontbijt was inbegrepen!"

Onze badkamer had geen douchescherm of -gordijn dus de vloer werd nogal nat en daardoor glad, maar dat kan zo verholpen worden.

"Fantastich vrijstaande charmante oude villa met veel houtsnij werk. Zeer goed en huiselijk in gericht met veel chil ruimte en een tuin. Kortom een thuis gevoel. Een schat van een vrouw die je verwelkomt en heel veel voor je regelt. Beter kan niet!"

"Since I read the book who the owner Dorota wrote, I really wanted to visit Vanilla House. And it was as I imagined, even better!!! The sound of the ocean at night...The breeze.. The food... The view... I loved it!!!!"

"Echt een paradijsje! Super schoon, fantastisch uitzicht en prima douche. Via een trappetje ben je zo op het strand en je ziet de zonsondergang vanuit de hangmat op het terras. De gastheer doet alles om je te helpen. We hebben genoten!"
