"Everything! This place is magical. The history behind this cabin (read the book!) and the surroundings are truly magical. You can go kayaking, fishing, hiking or you can explore the surroundings with the car. The host is extremely friendly and helpful with local knowledge, tasty meals that are freshly made and we had the opportunity to take the canoe up on the lake and try our luck with some fishing (sorry again for the fishing pole 🎣). We even took a bath in the hot tub down by the water. It's incredible and the stay felt like a retreat for the soul. Couldn't recommend it enough! Thank you so much again and hope to see you again one day :)"

"This place was amazing! First off, our host Darlene, gave us a free upgrade to what I would call a full ocean view, despite being in a bay. The view was absolutely breathtaking! At least in my opinion. I loved watching the tides come and go, for this Ontarian it was really cool! The room was lrg and comfy, beds super comfortable. NO STAIRS!! For my husband with back issues and myself with very bad knees, this was wonderful to discover upon arrival. If your looking for a wonderful, very reasonably priced accomodation, you'll definitely want to look this place up!"

I honestly can't think of anything that bothered me, definitely not enough to say I didn't like it or sound like I was complaining.

"This was a great budget friendly option to stay in downtown Halifax. It is a student residence, so there are shared bathrooms and common areas, with your own bedroom that has a desk, closet, fan, and fridge. We stayed on two different occasions (at the start and end of a Maritimes trip) and much preferred our room on the first floor, as it was roomier and easier to get to after a long day. Amazing location - close to the harbour and various restaurants and businesses."

The first floor was hot in the room but cold in the common area, whereas the third floor was very hot (thankfully our room was cool, as it was cool weather and we opened the window). Both times, we completed the online check-in prior to arriving, but still had to complete the check-in again on the kiosk machine in the lobby, as our key codes were not activated. The first time, we texted the contact line and a staff member replied to us quickly to help us get it sorted.

"Er was een prima keuken met verschillende apparaturen zoals koffiemachine (met koffie), toaster, oven en klein oventje. Genoeg bestek en borden ed en een grote koelkast. Bed in de slaapkamer was zeer comfortabel. Twee slaapbanken in de woonkamer. Gastvrouw was zeer vriendelijk en zeer welwillend! Het appartement heeft ook genoeg daglicht, erg fijn! Er is ook een airco maar die heb ik niet gebruikt.Prima plek om met eigen vervoer te zitten!!"

Het lag wat verder weg van het openbaar vervoer en Ottawa. Op zich vinden we een uur reizen niet erg maar de bussen rijden wat onregelmatig.
