"Veel mogelijkheden, heerlijk ontbijt, luxueuze kamer met kitchenette en balkon, leuk binnenzwembad."

De faciliteiten waren telkens bij te betalen: tennis, binnenzwembad, buitenzwembad. 1x bleek het dan duurder dan eerst gezegd: aan de receptie vertelden ze me dat het buitenbad 5 euro per persoon was, maar ik betaalde 7 euro per persoon. Is nogal duur voor wat het is. Het binnenzwembad is best groot, maar enkel open tussen 18u en 20u.

"Zeer hartelijk ontvangen door Olga, alsof je bij vrienden op bezoek bent. Ze is behulpzaam. Kamer ruim, alles wat je nodig hebt. Badkamer klein maar prima. Fijne douch. Ontbijt prima, fijne stoelen in de tuin en lekker zwembadje om af te koelen. 10 minuten lopen van de ferry en busstation. 10 minuten lopen van het mooie oude deel. Veel leuke restaurantjes in het oude centrum."

The hotel is next to the freeway, so avoid rooms close to front due to constant traffic noise.

"Heel goede locatie om (sneeuw)uitstapjes in de regio te maken, vriendelijk personeel, uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet in een gezellige ruimte, appartement had alles wat we nodig hadden voor ons korte verblijf, heel leuk dat er hout voorzien was voor de kachel, dat gaf meteen extra sfeer in deze winterse dagen"

There were regular power cuts in the city during our stay (not the hotels fault). The roads outside can be quite noisy at times

De host was aardig tot het moment dat hij merkte dat er geen geld aan je te verdienen was, bijvoorbeeld doordat je niet wilde eten in het hotel of dat je de dure Tuktuk van het hotel niet wilde nemen. Dan werd je door hem genegeerd. Er was elke avond veel harde muziek van een naastgelegen dakterras en van het hotel zelf waar tot laat gitaar werd gespeeld en hard werd gezongen.

Aan de warme temperatuur kunnen jullie niets doen maar de ventilator kon moeilijk de kamer koelen. Uitzonderlijke temperaturen. Ik was er ooit in het hotel in de winter. Heel aangenaam.

"Large, clean and modern room with a hairdryer and enough plugs. Parking available. Nice breakfast with home-made yogurt and jams. Internet was satisfactory. The dinner at a (somewhat high) price of 30 Euro per person was good. Good service overall. The owner, Mr. Desprairies, is very professional."

Though we did like the breakfast, we saw that eggs are offered for an extra charge. In most hotels this is standard, so I would recommend to just include them in breakfast. Also, the coffee was so so.

"Awesome host. I couldn’t believe the photos from the previous reviews but it’s true, all the photos you see are truly about a 10 step walk from the bedrooms. Simple, but incredible place to stay. The host will make sure you’re well looked after, help you with the tours/ self guided tours nearby and is very helpful with transport knowledge. We loved this place! I will say, if you’re vegan or veggie it’s hard to find food nearby, so maybe ask the host in advance if you can cook some simple food. They let us cook noodles ❤️❤️"

"Airco op kamer, en eindelijk eentje die niet op het bed gericht is. Vriendelijke ontvangst dochter spreekt,via de telefoon engels, water koffie en thee aanwezig. Koelkast magnetron. De motoren konden in de garage."

Geen verduisterings gordijnen waardoor je om 05.30 wakker bent omdat de zon direct op het raam schijnt. Er zijn borden en bestek, maar geen afwasplek. Harde bedden

it was not really easy to find because there were no signs or something like this, but all the business next to her were nice and immediately recognized that we were searching the hotel and they helped us.

"De locatie was perfect. Alles was netjes en schoon, en er stonden zelfs koffie, thee en koekjes klaar. Het voelde echt als thuis en heel welkom. Daarnaast hadden wij alle privacy. De zelf check-in gaf extra flexibiliteit, ideaal wanneer je onderweg bent en nog niet precies weet hoe je reis zal verlopen."

De airconditioning konden we niet aanzetten en het was die nacht erg heet. Daardoor moesten we met de ramen open slapen, wat veel lawaai van de drukke straat naar binnen bracht. Als je daar gevoelig voor bent, neem dan zeker oordopjes mee :)

"Het waren hele erge ruime kamers, lekker bed en goeie airco. De eigenaar en zijn zoon waren heel erg behulpzaam voor ons. Ze helpen je bij alles en staan continue voor je klaar. Echt een aanrader!"

As it was late in the season, we were the only guests. Sandra was very helpful and set our breakfast out for us before she had to go out to work. The breakfast was rather unappetising with cheap sliced bread & ham, plentiful, but unappealing.
