"De sfeer is er erg leuk en knus, erg leuk ingericht. De locatie is perfect!"

Het duurde best lang voordat het water warm was en het werd ook niet echt warm. We waren in het seizoen dat het savonds en sochtends erg fris kan zijn.

"The hotel was stunning! Set in the jungle and in beautiful wooden cabins, it feels like low-key luxury. The restaurant was lovely, it’s quite popular on the island but the staff make sure hotel guests get good tables and are catered for. It’s very very quiet, so if you are looking for relaxation it’s perfect. The grounds are beautifully curated, it feels like you are staying in a botanical garden. The general manager was a gem, he sorted out a small issue with our room very quickly and was so hospitable for the rest of our stay, he couldn’t do enough to help. Can’t wait to go back one day!"

Some people would take issue not having AC, but it’s definitely cool enough and there is no reason to have them.

it was not really easy to find because there were no signs or something like this, but all the business next to her were nice and immediately recognized that we were searching the hotel and they helped us.

De faciliteiten waren telkens bij te betalen: tennis, binnenzwembad, buitenzwembad. 1x bleek het dan duurder dan eerst gezegd: aan de receptie vertelden ze me dat het buitenbad 5 euro per persoon was, maar ik betaalde 7 euro per persoon. Is nogal duur voor wat het is. Het binnenzwembad is best groot, maar enkel open tussen 18u en 20u.

"Large, clean and modern room with a hairdryer and enough plugs. Parking available. Nice breakfast with home-made yogurt and jams. Internet was satisfactory. The dinner at a (somewhat high) price of 30 Euro per person was good. Good service overall. The owner, Mr. Desprairies, is very professional."

Though we did like the breakfast, we saw that eggs are offered for an extra charge. In most hotels this is standard, so I would recommend to just include them in breakfast. Also, the coffee was so so.

"De kamer was uitstekend, het was schoon en had een mooi uitzicht. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en uitstekend bereikbaar, ook spraken ze vrij goed Engels. Er is genoeg in de buurt, en het hotel heeft zelf ook een bar waar je wat kan eten en drinken. Mocht de bar een feestje organiseren, dan geven ze dat vroegtijdig aan en stoppen ze op tijd i.v.m. geluidsoverlast. Het wel een stukje lopen naar het centrum, ongeveer 15-20 min maar de tijd gaat erg snel. Er is ook genoeg gratis parkeergelegenheid aan de weg, en mocht dat niet het geval zijn dan is er nog een ondergrondse parkeergarage."

"Een goede uitvalsbasis om Valletta te bezoeken en de omliggende bezienswaardigheden van Malta. Vriendelijk personeel, altijd klaar met tips of gewoon een babbeltje."

"Het enorm vriendelijke personeel en het heerlijke eten in het restaurant. Wij hebben deze gekozen voor na onze middagsafari in Botlierskop."

Kamers zijn ietwat gedateerd

"De heerlijke warme regendouche douche was echt geweldig!"

De host was aardig tot het moment dat hij merkte dat er geen geld aan je te verdienen was, bijvoorbeeld doordat je niet wilde eten in het hotel of dat je de dure Tuktuk van het hotel niet wilde nemen. Dan werd je door hem genegeerd. Er was elke avond veel harde muziek van een naastgelegen dakterras en van het hotel zelf waar tot laat gitaar werd gespeeld en hard werd gezongen.

The hotel is next to the freeway, so avoid rooms close to front due to constant traffic noise.

"The stay at Casa Isleña exceeded our expectations. It is located on a beautiful beach, the decor is tasteful, it offered by far the best food and drinks on the island and the staff is friendly, courteous and skilled. There were even truly great live music acts. In case we travel to Puerto Rico again, this place is a must-visit. We wish we could have spent more time there.."

Nothing to complain about.

Ze regelden een taxi naar het vliegveld en checkten tussendoor of we het wel naar onze zin hadden. Perfect dus! Vlakbij het strand (twee straatjes oversteken). Je stapt het hotel uit en dan kun je meteen de 'bus' nemen naar Maho of naar Marigot. Kostte maart 2 dollar."

Niets viel tegen

"Ligging aan grote drukke weg en toch fijne rustige locatie. Mooie grote kamers met grote bedden, airco, fan en koelkast. Heerlijk uitgebreid ontbijt en elke dag worden de bedden opgemaakt."

It's a bit far from the beach and from the parties at night (but at least you can explore the whole village)

"Het is een fijne en ruime kamer met twee goede bedden. Ook de badkamer was erg ruim. De keuken die we deelde met de andere kamer was goed uitgerust en had alles wat je nodig had. Locatie was top, vlakbij het centrum van San Ignacio, 2 min wandelen"

We kregen niet dagelijks schone handdoeken.
