"I really enjoyed my stay here - the hotel is like an oasis of calm in Bissau. Staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful - special thanks to Mariama who very kindly went above and beyond her duties to accompany me to the market so I wasn't alone. Good buffet breakfast, clean swimming pool, lovely gardens, spacious rooms. I felt very safe here as a solo female too."

Some of the bathrooms should be renovated, one leaked water even to the mainroom, which was dangerous. Even others have humidity damages and small cockroaches. I was twice bitten by insects during the night, probably bedbugs or ants, and had to ask the staff to spray my room again. Some of the sheets are obviously not pure cotton and itchy.

Great room and fabulous views of the bay. I loved waking up in the morning and watching the boats going up and down the bay.

Por ahí tener un colcha de verano o similar. Y que el baño tenga cortina a fin de que no se moje todo al bañarse. Igual todo correcto.

The lack of the cleanliness of the pool (because of breakfast nearby, lots of things fly away in it). Drinkable water in the bar was not free (4-star hotel)

There is no wardrobe in the room and no hand tissue was provided. The price was very expensive for the room No shuttle to pick up from the airport

"This hotel is at the higher end of the price range but i keep returning as they have an EXCELLENT restaurant and very professional friendly staff. Many of the staff are long term employees and are true hospitality staff. I just hope they are appreciated by Mendana senior management."

The reticulated TV system requires some work as reception is poor and the room lighting is not real good. Also, we stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms and the maintenance manager should be aware that many of the newly laid floor tiles are "drummy" and will require repairs very soon.

The quality of toileters should be better. The mini bar was empty and needed to ask for water at around 3:00 AM. Lastly, the price is a bit high.

Ontbijtzaal zou iets zweer voller aangekleed mogen worden. Ook de mogelijkheid voor het laden van de auto zou iets beter kunnen.

De kamers hebben bijna geen verduistering en zijn niet van de properste. Onze douche liep moeilijk weg. De eigenaars spreken bijna geen Engels. Gelukkig is er Adrian die perfect Engels sprak

"Prachtige locatie, direct aan de zee. Hotel ligt om een mooie tuin met zwembaden, gezellig en zelfs in de kerstvakantie niet druk (dus geen gedoe met bedjes reserveren, er was altijd plek). Vriendelijk personeel en goed restaurant."

Het is allemaal wat verouderd - van de inrichting van de kamers tot de ligbedden aan zee en zeker de apparaten in de gym, zou een update kunnen gebruiken. Verder was het eten in Calabash restaurant heerlijk, maar duur en je moest soms echt heeeeeeel lang wachten ondanks het feit dat er heel veel personeel rondloopt.

"Lonno lodge is echt een geweldig verblijf. Silvia en Aldo hebben de ecolodge met heel veel liefde gebouwd, met heerlijke, ruimtelijke vertrekken en privé terrassen. Na Nairobi en Mombasa was dit echt een prachtige oase. Het ontbijt, zwembad en de zee aan het klif, zijn top. Het team is ongelofelijk aardig, attent en gezellig. We waren met onze 1 jarige dochter en ze hebben haar en ons echt thuis laten voelen terwijl er aan alles werd gedacht. Heerlijk dat je met een slapend kleintje onder de sterren kunt dineren. De lodge ligt wel wat verder uit het centrum, maar dat vonden wij wel relaxed. Met de elektrische tuktuk (die je vanuit Lonno kunt pakken) ben je overal, bv Gedi ruïnes, heel snel. Wij komen heel graag nog een keer terug."

Having a spa available at the hotel was a wonderful amenity - perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. They provided excellent recommendations and assistance with arranging tours."

Honestly, there's nothing to complain about. The hotel delivered on all fronts and provided an exceptional experience throughout our stay.

Er mag meer daadkracht komen bij het management/ personeel. We hadden bij het zwembad veel last van luidruchtige, eigen regels makende, best grove hotel gasten die uit een land vlakbij Cyprus komen. Ondanks meerdere verzoeken van personeel bleef deze groep (10+ personen) doorgaan (gooide het op hun geloof en niet passend eten in het hotel en het niet mogen eten op hun hotelkamer vanwege hun geloof). Ze dronken zo veel eigen alcohol, rookten (wiet geur op diverse momenten) en schreeuwden zo erg dat mijn kinderen van 12 en 16 last ever niet bij het zwembad verbleven als de groep er was. Het heeft 3 dagen van de vakantie toch wel een negatieve smaak gegeven. Daarnaast is de ligging van het hotel ongeveer 30 min lopen van het oude centrum met betaalbare eettentjes. Hotel-Restaurants hadden hoofdzakelijk hetzelfde menu, weinig variatie.
