"This was a great house with all the facilities we needed for a 5 night stay. We were a group of 9 which is probably the maximum this house can take, the sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable but was fine for our shorter trip. Everything worked really well and the hotel this villa is connected to had great facilities like a sauna and hottib which were free to use. The host was great, the location for this villa is slightly incorrect on this site as it was a bit further out than we expected but the host was helpful in getting us transport everymoring to the ski centers."

"De ligging was perfect, pal in het stadje vlakbij alles en de uitbaters zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De accommodatie was prima uitgerust om zelf te koken. Er was een muskietennet om te beschermen tegen insecten, en dat was nodig. Op vraag om onze kleren te wassen, kregen we dezelfde dag nog onze kleren proper terug, dat was super snelle service."

Een algemene kritiek voor Tobago is loslopende honden. Ook dit verblijf heeft daar last van, wat maakt dat je niet rustig op het terras kan eten zonder lastiggevallen te worden door 'bedelaars'. Dat is natuurlijk iets waar de uitbaters weinig aan kunnen verhelpen.

"We had a wonderful week at Les Gites de Robinson. Communication with Carole had been excellent in the weeks prior to our holiday and when we did arrive she was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. The gite is spacious and spotlessly clean and the kitchen has all that is needed to prepare meals. The beds are very comfortable, the showers in both the modern bathrooms are excellent and, although we did not make use of it, the swimming pool is in a lovely garden setting. The gite is conveniently located in a quiet residential area, only about 300m from a well-stocked supermarket and bakery. We would absolutely recommend staying here. Thank you for having us, Carole and Gilles!"

"Sfeervol, mooi huis, rustig gelegen, op 2 minuten loopafstand van een supermarkt en 7 minuten van het centrum.. Binnen een half uur loop je naar Jasna Lake. De gastheer is erg vriendelijk en reageert direct bij vragen per SMS."

Klein detail: het aantal stopcontacten in de keuken was beperkt, waardoor je nogal eens stekkers moest wisselen.

"We hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf. Francisca en haar ouders zijn heel aardig en we werden warm welkom geheten. De tuin is prachtig en we hebben er heerlijk gelegen en genoten, gevolleybald en gezwommen. We hebben tomaten en watermeloen gekregen uit eigen moestuin! Heel lief en verrukkelijk. We waren ook heel blij met de locatie. Één en al rust en dichtbij op 20min rijden van de stad Braga en 30min van het prachtige Park National. We komen hier graag terug!"

"Nos hicieron un upgrade a Villa Marina, un apartamento situado en la colina que domina Red Hook. Las vistas son soberbias; buen equipamiento, piscina “cuasi-privada”. Buena atención del dueño en el paso de la tormenta tropical Ernesto y posteriores consecuencias (leves). Recomendable"

La contrapartida a las buenas vistas es subir arriba. Es necesario coche (lo teníamos). El único “pero” era la extraña dependencia de generadores eléctricos para tener agua corriente dentro de casa. Tras la tormenta hubo que usar generador y andar cambiando bombonas de gas (pero el duelo, Steve, se encargó de ello)

"Amazing stay from beginning to end. Clean and spacious villas with all that you need. 3 rooms, 3 bathrooms. AC working well in rooms and downstairs. Superb and safe spot if you want space and to be quiet. The view was our biggest surprise on the San Juan beach and the Christo statue. Surronded by nature, birds and butterflies. Easy to access, but you do need a car to get around from there. With a car, you are 5 minutes from the city, groceries, beaches, etc. Staff always there to help and very cordial and available. Our stay was beyond our expectations and we could not be more happy with our choice. Thank you for everything Bahia Del Sol."

"Die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig gelegen und komfortabel, die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns, dass wir zwei Bäder hatten und der schöne Garten, in dem man gemütlich frühstücken konnte. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es gab auch die Möglichkeit dass für uns traditionelles Essen gekocht wird, was sehr lecker war, und unsere Wäsche gewaschen wird. Wir bedanken uns sehr herzlich und freuen uns, nochmal wieder zu kommen :)"

"It was so well equipped for our family. The small pool was great for my 3 year old. We had our own private entrance, patio and outdoor sitting area. It felt safe and provided a restful place for us to call home for 5 days. Many beaches nearby, one within walking distance."

There are tons of mosquitos and tiny ants. This was observed elsewhere on the island that we stayed too and is not particular of this property. Be prepared with your own insect repellent.

"Boendet ligger i Regent som ligger lite högre upp i bergen jämfört med Freetown. Det gör att det är lite svalare och inte så tryckande värme som nere i stan. Det är visserligen en bit att köra om man ska in i centrum, men samtidigt är det inte så mycket bilköer som inne i stan. Värdarna tog hand om oss på ett bra sätt och huset vi hyrde hade rätt bra standard. Hög standard för att vara i Sierra Leone."

Jag har inte något som jag inte tyckte om. Möjligen att du måste ha tillgång till egen transport om du enkelt ska ta dig till och från boendet.

"L'accueil de la propriétaire qui était présente et qui nous a fait faire le tour des lieux, l'accès à la piscine même si nous n'en avons pas profité hélas!!! et pour notre départ nous avons pu laisser nos bagages sur place ce qui nous a évité de les avoir pendant la dernière journée."

Il serait bien qu'un minimum pour le premier petit déjeuner soit proposé ce serait top et peut être un peu plus de vaisselle comme on peut y être entre 4 et 6 personnes c'est un peu léger.

"It was wonderful. Ximena our host was just the best. We loved the pool and the generous outside loungers and seating areas. It being March and the crazy hot season, the pool water was like bath water! The location was fantastic. Everything was beautifully clean. It was lovely to have our own kitchen, which was generously stocked up before our arrival. There was nothing to fault. We loved our stay here."

"Hele fijne plek in een drukke stad. Het huis is ruim, schoon en op loopafstand (20 minuten) gelegen van het centrum. Het is er heerlijk rustig en er is plek voor de auto om te parkeren. De tuin is ook heel fijn. Onze kinderen hebben er heerlijk gespeeld. De eigenaresse is heel aardig en reageert snel op vragen. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Zeker een aanrader om te verblijven!"

Een plafondventilator was misschien handig geweest in dit heel warme weer.

"Wij kwamen vroeger aan dan gepland en mochten - ondanks dat de host nog aan het schoonmaken was al naar binnen. We hebben fijn alle spullen kunnen wassen en het huis was groter, schoner en fijner dan verwacht. De locatie vlakbij de oceaan is ook erg mooi, een veilige buurt. Heerlijk gebraaid op de binnen braai, in de zomer zou dit ook buiten kunnen."

We waren er in de winter, het huis was eigenlijk te koud. We hebben 3 zakken hout gestookt op de openhaard om het behagelijk te krijgen (overige wel goed dat je dit voor een schappelijke prijs kon kopen ter plekke).

"Het is een prachtig, ruim huis met een geweldig uitzicht. De zonsopgang is een magisch moment, zeker vanaf het dakterras bekeken. We werden heel gastvrij ontvangen en hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad. De staff van het huis is buitengewoon vriendelijk geweest en de maaltijden van de kok waren geweldig. Mr. Mohamed heeft ons ontzettend goed geholpen bij het organiseren van uitstapjes en had heel goede ideeën voor het invullen van het programma. Ook zijn begeleiding was zeer prettig tijdens onze diverse uitstapjes wat een heel fijn en veilig gevoel gaf. We komen zeker terug!"
