"Dit hotel is heerlijk om te verblijven. Zeer goede prijskwaliteit verhouding. De familie is heel vriendelijk en doet alles om het naar je zin te maken. De dag begint met een fantastisch ontbijt met allemaal Srilankese specialiteiten. Echt zo lekker. Wij sliepen er 3 nachten en elke ochtend was er een andere verrassing. De kamer zelf is eenvoudig maar zeer schoon en je hebt alles wat je nodig hebt. Daar is de prijs ook naar. Op het balkon zit je in de jungle met veel apen, vogels, eekhoorns. Fantastisch! De ligging is wat verder van Ella, maar met de tuktuk ben je er binnen 10min. Daardoor is het wel heerlijk rustig!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Summer House Mirissa. We were welcomed with a drink and our hosts were super friendly. The room was clean and looked like on the pictures. We felt extremly safe and comfortable in our room and the neighbourhood. We got a 20% discount in a restaurant the host works at. And we can highly recommend it. We did our laundry at the Summer House and everything came back nice and clean. We ended up staying 2 nights longer as planned because enjoyed our stay (:"

"Home away from home! The accommodation is in an area with separate access from the one used by the hosting family. Private kitchen, private bathroom, private terrace with a nice big aquarium. Everything was clean as promised. Nilu was simply a perfect host, she was there when needed, but never obtrusive. Guys, do YOURSELVES a favor and ask her to cook dinner for you! In the last evening we had a fantastic grilled fish that I will remember for a long time. (Muhudu Kukula is the common name of this fish in Sri Lanka, some say Pothubari and in the English version, it is called sea chicken)"

"De familie was super lief en behulpzaam, voor elke vraag kon je er terecht. Je kunt kiezen tussen kamers met airco, maar ook zonder. Verder kun je heerlijk buiten en of binnen zitten, er is genoeg ruimte en de kamers zijn ook erg ruim. Er word vaak een kopje thee aangeboden. Toen we eten over hadden van onze kookcursus konden we het bij haar in de koelkast zetten en warmde ze het zelfs voor ons op en mochten we bij haar binnen eten. Toen we wilde verlengen en het vol zat werd het opgelost door ons te verplaatsen naar hun andere verblijf een paar meter verderop. Ze voelde voor deze paar dagen echt even als onze tweede moeder :)"
