Chalets in Peru

"Excellent location, just a short walk from Lonnoc Beach and a 15 minute walk from the famous Champagne Beach; 20 minute ride to Port Olry. There is a small village (Hog Harbour Village) nearby, about a 20 minute walk, where you can buy local bread and fruit. Accommodation is very basic but serves its purpose. Mosquito coils and nets are provided. The local who looked after us, Melody, was very welcoming and kind, and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. There were no kayaks available but they can be rented from the neighbouring Lonnoc Beach Bungalows."

Drainage in the shower is poor and the floor quickly becomes wet and muddy. Facilities are very worn out. The room has no shelving to put your belongings; this would be a great improvement. If you are on a budget, keep in mind that pretty much the only food options in the area are the restaurants at the lodge or at neighbouring accommodations, where a meal costs 1500-2000 vatu per person. The food is delicious though and there are local dishes - the paw paw curry was phenomenal.

Gewoon niks viel ons tegen !

"It’s super secluded! Very quiet. Had facilities from the 90s for kids and family to roam, cycle or just simply walk by the river. The family running the place are very welcoming. Great for fam with young kids"

The property is generally old, not that it’s not well kept but I think it’s kept as best as they can.

"De omgeving en de host was top. Je moet er wel van houden om even offline te zijn en te genieten van de omgeving en de rust."

Heel veel was er fijn en goed. We miste alleen een waterkoker.

"Gezellig klein huisje, met alle basic dingen die je nodig hebt. Verse lakens en handdoeken liggen voor je klaar in een bak."

Het terras was wel wat verstevigingswerk aan, maar dat de stoorde ons niet.

"This is a place where everything works -- gas, electric, water. Enough pots and pans for everyone. We enjoyed the stay. The place was clean, sheets were clean, towels and soap present, and there was working cleaning tools to keep the place clean. The host had thought of everything. The WiFi was superb. And the park outside is well-maintained and enjoyable."

A work desk was missed. Indoor parking not available, but the are is quite safe and secure.

Electricity was eratic and generator back up only available for 3 hours per day

The host should have explained how all the property facilities functioned or a set of instructions. We did not know about the water jets or lights of the pool. Slight smell in the room and lots of lizards and flys

"Wat een fijne accommodatie! Vooraf prettig contact met eigenaresse Louise. Huisje was lekker warm toen we binnenkwamen en het rook er heerlijk! Het is lekker ruim en alles is aanwezig. Echt een dikke aanrader!"

Logement pas facile à trouver de nuit; pas de savon pour la douche.

"Stunning location! Gorgeous. Paradise. Easy walk to a nearly private small beach. Utterly peaceful. Nice helpful neighbors."

It was idyllic. No complaints!

De lakens zijn nogal ruw, en verduisterende gordijnen zouden een fijne toevoeging zijn in de zomermaanden.

"Een knus tiny huisje met alles erop en eraan! Heerlijk bed en super leuk dat we sla en verse kruiden uit de tuin mochten pakken! Lekker zwembadje en prachtig uitzicht.."

Je kunt niet zo goed de ramen lekker openzetten ivm muggen en vliegen. Een hor zou een oplossing kunnen zijn.

How close the cabins are to each other… Had a big family next to us that was loud out on their deck.
