Campings in Ethiopië

"I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

"We made use of the campsite. The food was amazing and we were very happy to make use of the outdoor shower and having our hiking clothes washed. Back on the trail feeling refreshed! The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. Would definitely recommend this place!"

"De locatie was perfect en je kon je eigen camping plek kiezen. Uitzicht op bergen. Veel hiking spots in de omgeving (wel altijd betaald parkeren). Heel aardig personeel."

Helaas wel het geluid van de weg als je dichtbij de weg je tent neerzet (beter dus je tentje verderweg zetten) De gedeelde ruimtes waren beetje verouderd. Beetje duur voor een nacht met een tent+auto.

"Super accueil de la part d Yves qui nous a explique l origine de ce beau jardín proche de la Forêt et nous a offert une noix de coco a boire. Le campement est calme , la tente est tres confortable et les parties communes toilettes et douche sont tres propres. The budget Dacia Dokker camper doesn't have insulation, be aware!

Wij sliepen in een 3-persoonskamer; onze deur kon niet op slot en ging telkens open. De deur van onze slaapkamer kwam uit op een slaapzaal. Daar waren tijdens ons verblijf geen gasten anders was het mogelijk wat gehorig geweest?

First of all please do not rely on the reviews here. The most one I think are fake reviews. This is now the real situation at this so called Nature "hotel". Flies flies flies. Everywhere thousand of flies. Flies in the rooms, flies in the restaurant everywhere you will have the flies. This is an indicator about the bad hygiene in this hotel. I have booked to so called King Room with Mountain view. It sounds very friendly but the reality is totally a horror. The room is very dirty and most issue it is wet and everywhere you see mold. When you enter the room you smell the moldy air. Absolutely unhealthy enviroment. Even the bedding is moldy and wet. The floor is wet. The walls are wet. We have to use hair dryer to have a little bit dry feeling when we sleep. But we could not sleep very well. Very terrible situation. Beside the moldy enviroment the room cleanless is terrible. Everywhere died flies and their feces. Stains on bedding and hairs. The bathroom was so dirty that we have avoided to take a shower. The toilet was not cleaned. The breakfast was consist of only rice and noodle and some unfresh cakes. On the food there are a lot of flies. They have a menu but most ones are not available. So we ate some noodle but was very low quality. Now my frustration. I have paid 1.4mRP for one night. In Indonesia you can stay in a very good 4 star Hotel for this price. I have requested a refund but the owner/staff was very unfriendly and not collaborative. For 200kRP you can stay in Bromo/Tosari in every homestay which is more better than this kind. So dont rely on the pics and reviews. The guys are cheating in a high level. Please be really careful to book this hotel. I have already claimed to booking.com. "It was a nice place, organzied, beautiful and calm."

We got the tent next to washroom, we were hearing the motor sound always even when sleeping.

"De accomodatie was niet heel spectaculair, maar wij komen voor de heerlijke sfeer op de camping. Wij waren hier nu voor het 3e jaar en het voelt voor ons als thuis komen. Deze camping heeft geen luxe faciliteiten en er is zeker wel wat onderhoud nodig, maar de drie zussen die de camping runnen zijn ontzettend aardig en zijn bereid alles voor je te doen. Voor oudere kinderen is er op en rond de camping zeer veel te doen tot in de kleine uurtjes. Deze camping is misschien verouderd maar heeft een ziel. Je houdt ervan of niet. Wij vinden het heerlijk om hier 2 weken van het jaar deel van uit te maken. Dus Simona, Barbara en Monica keep on the good work en graag tot volgend jaar."

Je moet er zelf iets van maken anders is er altijd wel iets te zeuren.

"Voor ons was Buzio als thuiskomen! In deze prachtige oase kom je tot rust en de groene vibes met het fijne zwembad maken het geheel tot een echt vakantiegevoel. De familie die de boel runt is als een warme douche en ze doen echt alles om je verblijf onvergetelijk te maken. Echt een pareltje!"

Eigenlijk niks. Een airco op de kamer had trouwens wel gemogen en het bed is erg zacht en zakt wat door (is wellicht voorkeur). Het is niet super goedkoop, maar de service maakt alles goed en het heerlijke ontbijt is inclusief.

"Es hat mir alles gefallen! Ich habe mit meinen zwei Jungs für 4 Nächte im Heu übernachtet. Die Vermieterin ist super freundlich! Der wunderbare Garten hat uns jeden Tag neues entdecken lassen, die Tiere waren toll. Ich habe nichts auszusetzen!"

Leute, die meinen für den günstigen Preis ein 10 Sterne Luxushotel erwarten zu müssen! Wer es klinisch rein haben möchte, sollte in die Stadt fahren und in ein Hotel gehen, nicht aufs Land, auf einen Bauernhof mit Tieren und Heu für ein paar Euro die Nacht!
