Appartementen in Frans-Polynesië

"Het appartementencomplex is gunstig gelegen. Ruime vertrekken. Mooi uitzicht en rustige ligging."

We kozen bewust voor een appartement hier in plaats van een hotel om wat meer vrijheid en ruimte te hebben en vooral ook om de privacy die het appartement met ruim zitterras met ligstoelen gaf dat we gehuurd hadden. Bij aankomst werden we echter pas op de hoogte gebracht dat we een ander appartement kregen gezien de airco stuk was. Dit had helaas geen groot terras. Na improvisatie met een klein binnentafeltje konden we min of meer buiten ontbijten, maar het was alles behalve comfortabel tafelen. We mochten het terras van dat andere appartement eventueel gebruiken maar gezien we daarvoor een heel andere ingang moesten nemen, was dat niet de uitkomst. De dag erna bleek de airco hersteld maar werd ons niet de mogelijkheid geboden om alsnog te verhuizen niettegenstaande we duidelijk maakten dat we bewust voor het andere gekozen hadden. De inrichting van de keuken wqs wel erg beperkt. Geen enkel voorraadpotje om iets te bewaren, geen servietje of keukenrol. We moesten echt alles gaan aankopen. Enkel wat peper, zour, koffie en gelukkig ook flesje olijfolie was voorzien. Zelfs geen keukenhanddoek, enkel een klein handdoekje. Wij verbleven hier 5 nachten en kregen niet 1x een propere handdoek. Voor het ontbijt werd de avond ervoor brood aan de deur gehangen, water, eieren, klein potje ananasconfituur en een stukje fruit werd wel in koelkast aangevuld. Dat moesthet ontbijt worden. In een land waar zoveel fruitsap gedronken wordt, verbaasde het ons dat er zelfs geen manueel fruitpersje aanwezig was. Echt koken was echt geen optie maar gelukkig ook niet onze bedoeling. Dat er geen reiniging werd gedaan tijdens het verblijf wisten we maar dan verwacht je wel dat er iets is van een borstel of dergelijke om zelf iets om te kuisen. Ook niet aanwezig dus.

"Everything was perfect, with warm and friendly staff. The staff were really friendly and provided us with everything we needed. Tea and coffee were available all day."

"I loved the resort, everyone is nice, food was good and good service, room was cleaned daily, had a one bedroom and it was spacious and comfortable. Pool were beautiful. Location was ok, shuttle to beaches which is a great touch, 25 min to palm downtown or 13$ cab. Safe! Would return"

WiFi was niet optimaal in de hele woning.

"Great personal they were very helpful kind and welcoming they were making you feel like its your home. Owner was also very helpful whenever we needed help with something he was ready to help us via whatsapp. Over all a great experience."

Every thing was good for the price there was nothing that was realy missing maby a bit more kitchen were if people would want to cook there something but not realy anything else.

"We verbleven hier één nacht op weg naar St. Lucia. We kregen bij aankomst een upgrade naar een groter appartement. Het was een fijne plek op een mooie locatie met uitzicht op het National Park en de vallei. Het appartement was zeer ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een fijne plek als je op doorreis bent!"

"Alles, vooral de rust en het uitzicht. Verder is het echt heel leuk om tussen de oude boothuizen te overnachten. De binnenkant is overigens modern Scandinavisch ingericht. Vooral het uitzicht over het fjord tijdens het ontbijt is geweldig. Verder heel centraal gelegen. Wij hadden tijdens ons verblijf vier accommodaties geboekt maar we hadden best alles kunnen ondernemen vanuit dit huisje. Ook het contact met de eigenaar verliep soepel. Hij reageert snel op vragen en is echt trots op zijn boothuis. Het was echt leuk om hier te zijn. Volgende keer komen we hier zeker terug"

"Rustige locatie met eigen terras en zoutwater zwembad. Vlak achter de zoo..je ziet de rode ara's vlakbij vliegen en ook een kolibrie gezien in de tuin. Aardige eigenaren, waar je bij vragen ook terecht kan."

De afstand tot het centrum stad... gelukkig had ik een huurauto. Anders ben je afhankelijk van een taxi tegen zeer lage prijzen, er is geen OV in de buurt. Fietsen vind ik te gevaarlijk daar. Vooral in donker.

"The unit was very very clean. We were close to the beach. Walking distance. Beach towels , chairs and umbrella were available. There was a beach bar right on the beach that we ate at. We did not rent a car. We used M&M taxi while we were there. Awesome service. We also ate at Miss B. Another spot on the beach front. We enjoyed our time. Thank you. We were a party of three. Wifi was able to handle all your streaming needs."

No complaints. All was well.

"De locatie en het uitzicht is prachtig. Je bent zo bij het strand en hebt leuke horeca opties dichtbij! Daarnaast was de studio erg gezellig ingericht en is het balkon zeer groot waardoor het voelt alsof je een tweede woonkamer hebt."

Er was wel wat achterstallig onderhoud. Bij de deur van onze studio lagen opgedroogde verfrollen en toen we de wasmachine gebruikten liep er water uit. Ons zoontje lieten we met het babybedje in de slaapkamer slapen zodat wij bewegingsruimte hadden als hij sliep. Daardoor gebruikten wij de slaapbank die niet heel comfortabel was. Dit was wel gemakkelijk op te lossen door het matras uit de slaapkamer te gebruiken. Helaas was de zonwering van de studio kapot waardoor wij, doordat we in de woonkamer sliepen en de buitenverlichting aan blijft ‘s nachts, niet in het donker konden slapen. Ook was de betaling nog niet in orde. De accommodatie werkt niet met creditcard waardoor we ter plaatse nog geld bij een automaat moesten pinnen en contact moesten betalen. Het was fijn als we dit van te voren hadden geweten.

De douche ruimte is erg klein. Op het balkon zou een comfortabele zitstoel fijner zijn.

Me sorprendio que haciendo la reserva para dos personas solo incluyera desayuno para uno y si el otro queria tenia que pagarlo. Nunca habia vivido una situacion igual

"The comfort, accessibility and ease of the accommodation."

On my last sleep of the week I was disturbed by the above resident, moving furniture and banging in the early hours of my departure day. Also just before 3am, being woken up by my TV having it on a different channel to what I had when I turned it off before going to bed believing someone had trespassed into the property and the thought of my belongings being stolen.

"The place was clean, at a nice location, walk to the beach. The staff was also amazing especially Salum the caretaker who was quick to respond. The owner is also amazing. They also offered recommendations on what's good close by."

Location was far from the main tourist centers in Nungwi and stone town. Suggest getting a car if you are there - lucky we had one. Otherwise great stay!

"A tastefully furnished hotel with very kind and friendly owners who do their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible, even in challenging conditions. The restaurant is beautifully designed and very welcoming. The room is simple but has everything you need. Good location, close to Volo Volo!"

A bit of coordination initially to get to the property due to the road, but the owner was wonderful at making it easy, and other taxis had no problem getting there after my initial attempt.
