Villa's in Frans-Polynesië

Tylko jedna rzecz na minus,to był pierwszy przystanek po długim locie w pobliżu nie ma sklepu a w apartamencie nie było nawet jednej butelki wody...

"Very spacious, very private. It was comfortable. We were kindly met at San Marino bus station and taken to the villa. Also kindly taken to the supermarket first to buy some food as the villa is very isolated. Taxi was recommended to us, and was reliable and comfortable. The area was amazing to visit. Information was sent to us to answer our questions. Prompt response."

The villa was further away from the main area of San Marino than expected. As we did not have a car, we were reliant on a taxi, which worked out very expensive. There were a few items in the sink which looked as if intended to be washed up but forgotten. We struggled with sorting out the TV and also finding the right adapter for our chargers and could not find a familiar kettle. These were little things but frustrating after a long journey. It would have been helpful to have an information booklet to explain some of these things so we did not have to keep asking our host.

"Het uitzicht over de baai is echt fantastisch. Je kunt er de hele dag wegkijken zonder je te vervelen, er is altijd wel iets te zien op zee. De bedden zijn ook erg goed! Verder is het huis van alle gemakken voorzien, ook wanneer je reist met een baby is alles wat noodzakelijk is aanwezig."

Het zwembad is niet verwarmd en dat is soms heel fris, zeker als het net heeft geregend. Let op de derde slaapkamer is niet binnenin het hoofdgebouw.

"This property is in a stunning location and perfect for a winter stay. The whole property is phenomenally well equipped and very tasteful. Photos do not do it justice. Be prepared however - you will need a car (or arrange other transport) if you want to go anywhere including a local shop (in Lyngseidat) - we knew this and had organised other transport but do your research!!"

The bathroom.. Especially the one upstairs was not functioning and was not functional. It was spoiled and one had to use a bucket of water to flash. The breakfast provided was quite basic and not worth it.

"Ruhige Lage, geräumiges Haus, das Bett in der unteren Etage bequem. Schöne Umgebung. Nicht weit zum Nationalpark."

"Train station is 5 minute walk from the villa, handy to travel the local area. Shops and restaurants are plentiful within 15 minute walk. Local beach within 10 minutes walk. Bike hire available from a 10 minute walk from the villa, with an excellent bike route around Balaton."

Train track runs close to the rear of the property, so can be noisy as they pass

"The owner is kind and helpful. When he heard I am landing in TLV at 3AM he did recommend how to reach his place, looked after trains to Beniamina, proposed that in case of absence of taxi from train station he can fetch me. Flexible on check-in and out times. My payment didn’t went by credit card, so I needed to pay cash. Owner said no problem, can wait until I am back from shopping mall."

The part I wasn’t much happy - it’s moskitos,and I think the owner will fix it (cables in the window living small glitch for insects) soon.

"Ruhige Lage, geräumiges Haus, das Bett in der unteren Etage bequem. Schöne Umgebung. Nicht weit zum Nationalpark."

"Prachtig zwembad en mooi ruim huis. Aardige broer van de eigenaar, heeft ons gereden naar de hotspots. Wasserette om de hoek. En een paar goede restaurants (ook waar je een biertje kan doen) centraal gelegen."

"Gastheer en gastvrouw waren heel erg aardig, de koelkast was goed gevuld en we konden gebruik maken van alles wat de tuin te bieden had, van leuke zitjes tot aan het fruit van de bomen. Ook de ligging in een woonwijk was helemaal niet storend, dat had je echt niet door als je in de tuin was."

De badkamer is aan de kleine kant en kan wel wat moderner en mag wat meer gemak bieden.

"We had a wonderful time at Luke's Place back in November. Linda was a lovely host, and very knowledgeable of the area. Communication was quick and easy. Her property is in a beautiful neighbourhood and has a direct access to the beach, just a short walk from the central market. The garden was extremely well taken care of, with sunbeds to relax and a pool. The apartment we stayed in was super comfortable, spacious, clean and the bed was perfect. The best equipped kitchen in this side of the world! Other than all these things, what mattered the most, was the great feeling you're left with after staying at Luke's Place - that's the best memory. I sense we will be back in the future!"

Comfort of beds

"La casa superó con creces nuestras expectativas, estaba muy equipada en todos los aspectos lo que hizo nuestra estancia mucho más fácil. Mantas, toallas,.. todo muy bien organizado en las habitaciones. El sótano muy acogedor para realizar celebraciones o reuniones de amigos."

"Het zwembad was erg schoon en mooi aangelegd. Tuin eromheen ook mooi. Er staan citroen en sinaasappelbomen. Ook was het huisje en kamers en badkamers ruimgenoeg en schoon. In de basis is alles er. Er was een buiten bbq, was erg fijn. Prachtig uitzicht op zee. En lekker rustig. Airco op de kamers waren inbegrepen."

Bedden waren redelijk hard. Wel lagen er meerdere kussens,lakens en dekens om het voor jezelf comfortabel te maken.
