"Selous River Camp is een fantastische bestemming voor natuur- en safari liefhebbers met een gemiddeld budget. Er zijn, ook in Selous, vele duurdere safari lodges die ongetwijfeld meer luxe bieden. Maar als je plezier hebt een een basic kamp met safari tenten met een echt bed, geweldige inzet van het personeel, een Masai met knots en speer die begeleidt naar de WC en heel veel dieren geluiden in de nacht dan pas je in Selous River Camp. Zoek je echt veel luxe, dan moet je er misschien niet naar toe. Ik wil zeker ook het terras noemen met het imponerende uitzicht over de rivier. Dat is overweldigend. Nog een tip. Als je tijd over hebt boek je de Bush Man. Die komt soms niet opdagen, maar als hij wel komt, laat je dan verrassen. Het is niet wat je denkt."

"Kritische noot is misschien de betaling die nogal onduidelijk is. Je moet vooruit betalen en je bent iets meer kwijt dan Booking aanbiedt. Dat kun je vooraf niet weten dus veroorzaakt dat veel correspondentie en de nodige verwarring. De entree van het park is ook kostbaar. Echt goedkoop is safari nooit."

So, so many animals in the park, only a 15 minute drive from camp. Super safe with Maasai at the camp. Absolute bucket list. Food was incredible. Do not hesitate."

"Perfect location. At night you can hear the Hippo's and during the day time, Elephants are walking around. The location is very nice and it is great to see the sunsets every night. It is camping in a tent so you must like to do this."

"A unique place with an amazing view from the bar/swimming pool onto the Rufiji river. We stayed in the tents which were really nice and from which we could hear all sorts of animals during the night... We also saw monkeys in the trees in front of our tents and an Elephant passing close by ... but it is all safe with Massai guarding the place day and night. The staff is superb and they advice and take care of everything in a discrete way. The meals are all very tasty and change every day. We did the slow Selous, the walking safari and the visit to Mloka, which were all very nice and well organized. If you the adventurous type, I highly recommend coming with the public bus from Dar to Mloka! A truly unique experience, traveling like the locals do!"

"Some of their facilities (toilets and showers) could do with a small refurbishment but looking at the fact that the place was damaged by the floods a few months ago, it is understandable that the priority was to rebuild the lost mud huts and the swimming pool!"

"Staffs, food was really amazing. They know how to serve the customer.all staffs were really kind. Nyerere National Park safari program was really spectacular. We did sunset boat safari which is recommendable for those who love birds and hippo."
