"A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life."

"Fijne sfeer en zeer aardig personeel. Het ligt pal aan het strand en de binnentuin is schaduwrijk en knus. Het bed heeft een klamboe en de kamer wordt niet te warm. Er is ook airco maar die hebben we niet gebruikt. Er is ook veel te zien in het wijkje, dus we hebben ons zeer vermaakt."

"Owners very very friendly and helpful . Right next to the path around the lake (use sunscreen if you are going to walk it . 5 hours needed. )Exceptional Value..Owner picked us up from airport and then transferred us to next destination. Highly recommended"

"Breakfast was fine - just remember to inform the owner the day before if you require breakfast. Ingrid, the co-owner, is a lovely woman and a fine, traditional cook. You will never leave the table hungry! Whilst she can offer beer at an extra cost, we tended to buy our own along with wine to drink at dinner. Again, you will need to inform Ingrid on the day if you require dinner later. There is no choice; me and my wife are both omnivores with no allergies or intollerances, and always liked what she prepared! Our lodge was spacious with a generous deck overlooking the beautiful gardens, and the sea in the background."

A small fridge in our lodge would have been a great bonus - however, we were free to use Ingrid's fridge. The shower was also a little on the dribbly side!

Weinig water uit de douche

"Чудове місце для відпочинку сімʼєю. Дуже задоволені. Було дуже затишно і комфортно. Велика територія біля котеджа – є все необхідне для барбекю, альтанки і качелі для дітей. Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.

"Gastvrijheid, veiligheid. Je kon altijd bij de eigenaar of beveiliger terecht, als je hulp nodig had. Door al dat groen kom je volledig tot rust."

"It is a unique carribean cottage, which is a little gem. It is a five minute walk to a lovely beach. We cooked in as the kitchen had everything one required. We had our meal out on the verandah next to the kitchen and watched the sunset. Sabina is a wonderful hostess. When we arrived she tried to book as into a restaurant but it was full so she took us to the local supermarket to ensure we would have a good meal. Keith was also really helpful and a great guy. We wished we had booked it for longer."

"Lovingly furnished, clean accommodation in a family atmosphere with hospitable landlords, good sanitary standards and air conditioning, cozy terrace, very good and plentiful breakfast with fruit and local side dishes, option for dinner with excellent Sri Lankan cuisine which we thoroughly enjoyed. "Top locatie en zo vriendelijk ontvangst. We genoten van het uitgebreide ontbijt en de gerechten uit de kaart in de avond. Wanneer we iets vroegen, kregen we uitleg of een extra kussen."

"Wow! This is the perfect place to relax in nature along the beautiful Zambezi River. Superb service and amazing rooms. We truly felt well taken care of from beginning to end during our stay at Tongabezi."

"The room was comfortable, there was a microwave, electric heating and a kettle so we could make our own food. We needed batteries for the air condition (it was cold), they delivered very fast. Thanks!"

"Schitterende plek net ietsje buiten het drukke centrum, echter je loopt er binnen 8 minuten naartoe. Het huisje was ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien! Je hebt een beetje het gevoel of je onderdeel uitmaakt van de lokale bewoners: de kindergeluiden en muziek op straat (tot ongeveer 22.00), het vele hondengeblaf en een kakofonie van haaiengekraai in de vroege ochtend. Hier moet je dus wel een beetje tegen kunnen. Er is niet echt een receptie, dus je moet het zelf een beetje uitzoeken, maar dat heeft ook wel weer zijn charme en voelt of het je eigen huisje is."
