"Great location and the scenery was beautiful. Very nice and peaceful atmosphere. Located on hill tops and the views were amazing! Perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. Surrounded by trees and was entertained by monkeys swinging through the branches. The rooms were also very spacious and allowed a comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient and meals were delivered to the room. Staff were very accommodating and overall had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay."

"The room was comfortable, there was a microwave, electric heating and a kettle so we could make our own food. We needed batteries for the air condition (it was cold), they delivered very fast. Thanks!"

"Comfortable stay in a Vintage house, outback-Australia style. Has all things in the kitchen to use if self catering.Hot shower .Central, close to a lovely beach and restaurants. But 2 km from main supermarket. Recommended"

No WiFi. Walls are quite thin so, can hear traffic at day time hours.Quite at nite

Slechts 1 minpuntje.. er was op dit moment geen warm water ( maar gezien nacht/dagtemperatuur bijna 30 graden voor mij geen probleem)

"Het huisje is vrijstaand met veel ruimte eromheen, de ligging is prachtig. Er is een leuk vijvertje met grote libellen en een compostvat achterin de grote tuin. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Hoogtepunten: vuurkorf met gratis brandhout, ligstoelen onder een prieel, vrij uitzicht over groen, beekje naast het huis, aardige eigenaar."

Op de foto's zou je het niet zeggen, maar het ligt vrij dicht aan een weg waar wel regelmatig auto's rijden (meer dan we hadden verwacht). We hadden hier verder geen last van. We hadden moeite met de tv maar konden ons goed redden met het prima internet. De slaapkamer is heel klein, dus als de achterste persoon 's nachts eruit moet, zal die over de andere persoon heen moeten klimmen. Vonden wij geen probleem.

"Een mooi autentiek hotel op eeen mooie plek tussen de bergen. Heel aardig en gastvrij ontvangen. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig maar goed van kwaliteit"

"Чудове місце для відпочинку сімʼєю. Дуже задоволені. Було дуже затишно і комфортно. Велика територія біля котеджа – є все необхідне для барбекю, альтанки і качелі для дітей. Відпочивали взимку, але в приміщенні було дуже тепло. Є санвузли у кожній спальні, що дуже зручно. Окреме спасибі пані Олі, адміністратору котеджа. Турбувалася про нас, щоб ми почувалися максимально комфортно. Плануємо повернутися сюди влітку 🙂"

Трошки замалий холодильник. Було б добре, щоб він був трохи більшим і мав трохи більшу морозильну камеру. Також не зайвими були б ще кілька кастрюль та великі миски.

"The place is so nice. Restaurant is great & so are the rooms. The food was so good & the chef came out to tell us about the dishes, lovely!"

Arrived at 11.30am to some "surprises" from the night before & no beer in the restaurant - someone had a great night! Good for them! Cleaning was dealt with quickly & beer was eventually delivered. A one-off, I'm sure..

"Very well situated , our room was spacious , nice balcony and a view of the river. Resteraunt on site was very nice and staff friendly and helpful."

Toilet was not flushing properly , but not much of a problem.

"Top locatie en zo vriendelijk ontvangst. We genoten van het uitgebreide ontbijt en de gerechten uit de kaart in de avond. Wanneer we iets vroegen, kregen we uitleg of een extra kussen."

Kleine kamer

"If you are looking for an exceptional place to stay on the Coromandel peninsula, this is it. The Lodge is quite large with everything you could need: kitchenette, couch and TV, comfy bed, large bathroom (tub + huge shower), terrace and the a spectacular view of Whitianga! As you would expect, it was very quiet, and the layout is such that, that you can enjoy total privacy. Carol and Warren were very welcoming and we had a nice chat every morning with Warren as he brought us a lovely breakfast. The road up the lodge is fairly steep but it wasn't an issue at all, so if you have a decent car I wouldn't worry about it. While in our particular case, we didn't have the best weather throughout the stay, we appreciated that the lodge is furnished so as to feel like home, which made for a cozy day in. I could tell that there was a lot of thought put into the furnishing and decorating of the lodge!"

"It was like staying at someone’s home. V good, helpful staff and bed was v comfortable. The food was surprisingly decent for such a small place. Picturesque location even though snow was sparse at the time"

Only gripe might be that the air was quite dry, making sleep quality not so good: might be because of it being a wooden bldg

"Ruime, schone kamer op een prachtige locatie. Heel vriendelijk personeel. De beste douche die ik in jaren heb gezien!"

Geen tegenvallers.

"hele aardige host, Victor. Hij heeft mij opgewacht met zn auto toen ik verkleerd was gereden. En hij heeft in de avond voor mij hamburgers besteld en opgehaald. En in de ochtend deelde hij zn mate met me."

de cabana was dubbel geboekt, dus ik moest in het huis slapen. Maar was ook prima uiteindelijk. Het is goed opgelost. en de douche boven deed het niet, dus ik moest steeds trap op en af.

Let goed op de locatie als je geen auto hebt. Op sommige dagen zijn er geen eetgelegenheden op loopafstand.

"Beautiful cottage that I mostly had to myself. There was access to the kitchen, television, and the yard. The host was a lovely man and very kind and helpful. He was also so relaxed about everything. I had the option to use a pool at another hotel as well which was great. I also appreciated the well wishes messages from the host and his staff member when I departed."

Het was voor ons iets te groot, we vinden kleinschaligere locaties fijner, maar dat wisten we van te voren

"Fantastic location. Great facilities and will be even better shortly with new tents under construction. Excellent meals and extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Take the food and day trip offerings- you won't regret it but stay at least 2 nights to really enjoy the location."
