"We had a pleasant stay at Mirissa Cocoon Hotel. The location is fantastic, 5 minutes to the beach, and very close to all the restaurants, but still quiet to get a good sleep. Has running hot water for showers and a decent bed. Excursions can be arranged at a reasonable price. Clean room (but not cleaned daily) decent size, a pleasant and affordable stay. Parking for motorcycles was available."
"We were surprised to be disturbed from an afternoon rest by the owner's brother allowing a woman to request to see inside the room to "see if she liked it"..... Bizarre...... If it were not for that, would have rated higher."
"Recommend staying here!. Couple from Australia and Ireland, late 20s early 30s. This places was lovely, very modern and new and you can tell. Its extremely big and the photos actually dont do it justice, so i took some more to show how big the space was. Massive bedroom, and had a self service kitchen and dining table. Could definitely get a pool table in the upstairs area as it is nice and open. Its a good location about 5-10min walk from the beach and main road."

"Rooms were basic but were perfect for what we needed it for. They were extremely clean and location of the accommodation was perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and street or main restaurants. Staff helped us with booking a taxi from here to Matara bus station at a really reasonable price. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"We booked this accommodation at the very last minute, and it was absolutely no problem. The owner’s brother took care of us right away, making us feel welcome from the start. The place is exceptionally clean and perfectly located, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable—truly a hidden gem! Highly recommended!"

"De hutjes zijn super dichtbij yala np, waardoor er dus wel wat beestjes in je hut kunnen komen. Voor ons geen probleem. De eigenaar was supervriendelijk, hij doet alles om het naar je zin te maken!! En hij kookt zelf ook lekker sri lankaans eten! Aanrader!"

"Midden in de jungle werden we vriendelijk onthaald en verwend met een diner bij kaarslicht en kampvuur. Vroeg in de ochtend 5.00 uur stond de koffie klaar voordat we op safari gingen. Bij terugkomst een heerlijk ontbijt. En alles met een glimlach. Maak het mee, het is de moeite waard."
"Het is een fantastische plek midden in de natuur. De olifanten en buffels lopen letterlijk langs het verblijf. Prachtige sterrenhemel ‘s avonds. Je voelt je echt 1 met de natuur. Ik blijf er niet voor niets naar terug komen. Bijzonder vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten. De privé safari met hun eigen jeep in Yala National Park was ook fantastisch. Ze kiezen hun eigen route in plaats van achter de meute aan te gaan. Hierdoor op de beer na alle diersoorten die in het park voorkomen gezien. De eigenaar is tevens freelance tourist driver en gids met een eigen busje. Daar meteen gebruik van gemaakt voor de rest van mijn verblijf in Sri Lanka."

"Makkelijk aan te rijden locatie dichtbij het Yale national park. Heerlijk rustig, leuk zwembad met vriendelijk personeel. Het eten dat voor ons bereidt werd was goed. De kamers zijn kaal, maar prima met een eigen badkamer en toilet. De bedden waren wel erg hard. Wij waren erg tevreden. Bedankt!"

"Heerlijk verblijf in Camp Leopard. We werden heel vriendelijk verwelkomd, de tenten waren super goed uitgerust, het sanitair was uitstekend, zeker naar Srilankaanse normen. Het diner buiten in de tuin was zeer lekker maar ook heel gezellig in een mooie setting met veel sfeerverlichting. We werden tijdig gewekt voor onze ochtendsafari. Net genoeg tijd om een tas koffie, koekjes en banaantjes te verorberen alvorens te vertrekken. Bij aankomst aan de ingang ( niet ver van het kamp) reden we al de jeeps voorbij zodat we snel aan de safari konden starten. Na aanvankelijk weinig dieren te zien zie de chauffeur dat we ons moesten schrap zetten en zette hij een ware rally in naar een plek waar een luipaard gespot werd. Heerlijk om eindelijk een luipaard in het echt te zien :) Ook nadien nog heel wat andere dieren gespot met uitleg van de gids. Na de safari genoten van een lekker ontbijt. We hadden nadien nog ruimschoots de tijd om ons uitgebreid te douchen alvorens onze reis verder te zetten."

"Unieke locatie, je waant je even helemaal alleen op de wereld, alles ook goed georganiseerd en heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Back to the nature, je moet je er wel van bewust zijn dat het een Glamping betreft. Via het hotel een safari in Yala park geboekt. De gids Asela was heel interessant om naar te luisteren en was perfect op de hoogte van alle fauna en flora in het park, kortom een aanrader!"
