The room was small

"Prachtige locatie, direct aan de zee. Hotel ligt om een mooie tuin met zwembaden, gezellig en zelfs in de kerstvakantie niet druk (dus geen gedoe met bedjes reserveren, er was altijd plek). Vriendelijk personeel en goed restaurant."

Het is allemaal wat verouderd - van de inrichting van de kamers tot de ligbedden aan zee en zeker de apparaten in de gym, zou een update kunnen gebruiken. Verder was het eten in Calabash restaurant heerlijk, maar duur en je moest soms echt heeeeeeel lang wachten ondanks het feit dat er heel veel personeel rondloopt.

Ontbijtzaal zou iets zweer voller aangekleed mogen worden. Ook de mogelijkheid voor het laden van de auto zou iets beter kunnen.

"De locatie is fantastisch! Een ruim huis, heerlijk open met een grote tuin! Het water is echt geweldig, de schelpen, de vissen en het strandje. Erg van genoten!"

Het huis zou wel een likje verf kunnen gebruiken en iets meer aandacht voor de hygiëne in de badkamer.

The lack of the cleanliness of the pool (because of breakfast nearby, lots of things fly away in it). Drinkable water in the bar was not free (4-star hotel)

"Food was ok, the staff was amazing and made you feel extremely welcome, this was the first time staying at this hotel, and I have just re-booked for next year. The hotel was quite, but had it lively time with live music. Enjoyed myself so much. Breakfast was lovely and so was dinner."

The room was small

"This hotel is at the higher end of the price range but i keep returning as they have an EXCELLENT restaurant and very professional friendly staff. Many of the staff are long term employees and are true hospitality staff. I just hope they are appreciated by Mendana senior management."

The reticulated TV system requires some work as reception is poor and the room lighting is not real good. Also, we stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms and the maintenance manager should be aware that many of the newly laid floor tiles are "drummy" and will require repairs very soon.

Ontbijt! Iedere dag scrambled eggs. Een gewoon eitje was er niet. Af en toe kwamen ze langs met een schaaltje fruit. Heel veel ananas en weinig meloen. Zet dit gewoon bij het buffet neer. Ik miste ook tomaat en komkommer.

"Excellent location. ALL the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Near to the American Memorial Park and if you want to book a tour of Saipan, I can recommend Walt at Discover Saipan. He gave me a superb tour of Saipan and Tinian and can collect from the hotel. Delicious dinner in the Terrace restaurant. Several pools and one of them is large enough to swim lengths and is open till late. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer!"

Everything was perfect.

The bathroom - at least in our room - must be defenitely renewed (with a new shower box instead of an old bathtube with plastic curtain)

The breakfast a bit poor

"Hotel ligt op een ideale locatie. Metro + bushalte op twee minuten lopen. Winkels, eetgelegenheden en supermarkten zijn er in overvloed. Al Ghurair Mall is 1 bushalte verderop. Alle medewerkers in het hotel zijn erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt heeft niet heel veel variatie, maar er is voldoende keus en wordt goed aangevuld. De kamer is ruim met prima bedden en voldoende plek voor de koffers."

Het is duidelijk dat het een wat ouder hotel is, maar dat is niet echt een probleem. Een nadeel is wel dat de ramen in de kamer niet open konden. Bij het zwembad zijn slechts een paar ligbedden. Het was gelukkig vaak rustig waardoor dit geen probleem was.

Clean and tidy and a great swimming pool , great food and cold beer.

The quality of toileters should be better. The mini bar was empty and needed to ask for water at around 3:00 AM. Lastly, the price is a bit high.

Prices are very high, but the normal for French Guyana. Kourou is not a city for pedestrians. So, there is no good location - everything is far for a walk. By car, it is really close to the space center.

"Our NGO had a conference in the hotel. the staff was excellent in preparing the conference room and addressing out needs. The conference catered food was excellent. I stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks and had breakfast every day. After the first 2 days, I realized that one could order eggs or omelet. Which was fine but why didn't they tell me at the beginning? Fruit selection was good. Coffee was also good. the wam milk for coffee was frequently empty but refilled on request."

"Zeer comfortabel qua locatie en toegankelijkheid, aan de rand van de oude stad. Behulpzame en sympathieke mensen, zowel aan receptie als restaurant. Kamers van alle gemakken voorzien, radiator in kamer af te stellen! Heerlijke risotto in restaurant!"

"La Orana. De OWB waren echt 🤩 Wij zaten aan de achterzijde aan de koralen, waar we mooi konden tussen lopen en waar de meeste vissen zaten. Ook het strand was heerlijk en we beleefden er een prachtige Polynesische avond😍"

Alles beviel mij aan deze locatie! Het was idyllisch, prachtiger kan niet meer🌸 Mauruuru!

"We voelden ons meteen welkom door de vriendelijke ontvangst. De locatie is fijn: rustig, maar toch heel centraal, vlak bij tram en metro en op tien minuutjes lopen van het Rijksmuseum. De kamer was schoon, de badkamer ruim en het bed heerlijk comfortabel. Het personeel was super behulpzaam. We komen graag nog eens terug!"

Ik kan niets bedenken.

"De lokatie is niet te verslaan. Lopend vanuit de ferry naar het hotel. De nieuwbouw is erg mooi met prima faciliteiten (gym) en pool. Uitzicht geweldig en bijna iedere ochtend een nieuw cruise schip dat vlakbij aanmeert."

De oudbouw bevatte het restaurant en ontbijtlokatie. Hier was de lift stuk ..dus 4 etages met de koffers omhoog sjouwen. Het restaurant was niet bijster goed en het ontbijt best duur voor wat het bood. Maar 200 mtr verderop aan de haven was Petit Paris open vanaf 08.30 voor een prima ontbijt voor minder dan de helft.

The bacon and sausages at breakfast were not the best but this is usual for Korea. Westerners might notice this, Koreans won't mind them at all.

"De vriendelijkheid en gastvrijheid van het personeel was unaniem goed. Fijne locatie qua buurt voor Marakech. Hier kan je ongestoord rondwandelen in een buurt waar het netjes is en op 20 min kom je dan in een totaal andere wereld terecht. Fijn liggen aan de zwembaden, die door de vele afscheidingen een zeer rustig gevoel geeft. Zeer verzorgd hotel, superlekker eten in de restaurantjes, fenomenaal ontbijt. Een hotel die we meteen opnieuw zouden boeken. Wel viel ons op dat er veel te veel personeel rondloopt naargelang het werk dat er uitgevoerd wordt."
