"This was a nicely designed hotel, with spacious rooms. Conveniently located for Yala safari pickups. There was even a peacock to greet us every morning outside our balcony!"

Though the room was mostly clean, there were some stains on our sheets. The friendly staff quickly rectified this. When we had to leave early for our safari, there was no staff available on site to unlock the gate and we had to do a real life jailbreak from the hotel! Also the water is reliant on solar so you may have to have a cold shower on a cloudy/rainy day.

Werden om 5u30 gewekt door geklop op onze deur .... niet zo aangenaam.

"Het eten was heel lekker, vooral de pastry chef was super! De omgeving is heel mooi, het hotel is echt heel mooi. De baai is goed voor ervaren snorkelaars. De beste complimenten gaan naar het personeel, zij deden moeite om ons verblijf nog beter te maken. Ze dachten zelf na wat voor ons handig zou zijn om ons verblijf nog te verbeteren."

Er mocht iets meer water in het zwembad, maar we begrijpen ook dat water een luxeproduct is in Palau en dat er zorgzaam moet worden mee omgesprongen.

"Rustig gelegen, goed bereikbaar met de auto, gratis parkeren achter het hotel op eigen terrein. Receptiepersoneel is timide, kalm, en spreekt goed Engels. Ramen kunnen open, koelkastje op de kamer. Kamers zijn ruim. Douche is heerlijk. Alles is schoon en netjes. Gratis mineraalwater op de gang te tappen in de aanwezige glazen kan die op de kamer staat zodat je de hele avond vooruit kan met je drinkwater. Beneden een kleine voorraad gekoeld bier/frisdrank die je kunt kopen tegen 3x de supermarktprijs, wat beter is dan niets."

Het personeel maakt zelf ook gebruik van het ontbijt buffet, alhoewel dat niet fout is, is wel een beetje gek dat je met het personeel van het hotel in dezelfde ruimte aan het eten bent. Soms pakken ze wat en nemen ze dat mee naar de keuken om op te eten. Het is gewoon een beetje raar, ik zie dat een Nederlands Hotel zoal Van Der Valk niet zomaar gebeuren. Zij hebben onderling overigens dan ook flink gesprek, en jij eet dan onder genot van Estlands geroezemoes je eten op. Het is weer eens wat anders dan complete stilte. Nogmaals, niets fout, maar gewoon even anders dan normaal.

Je kan alleek cash betalen zo als overal in het land. Ik had teveel cash uitgegeven zo dat ik sochtends heen en weer moest rijden. Dit was vervelend. Heb je wel voldoende cash op zak. Dan heb je een super aangenaam verblijf

The city itself was pretty boring, nothing to do and nothing really close by. Ofcourse this has nothing to do with the hotel

"Wangdue Eco Lodge is a lovely place tucked high above the Dzong, with amazing views from the room that really make the stay special. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout. Dinner and breakfast were simple but perfectly adequate. The rooms are very spacious, though they could benefit from a few extra touches to make them feel cosier, as they felt a little empty. Overall, a pleasant stay with beautiful views and a peaceful setting."

(לצערנו היה סגור) הבקתה הייתה נקייה ויבשה, מיטה זוגית עם ג'קוזי בחדר, ספה נפתחת, אינטרנט, טלוויזיה, מיקרו, מזגן בכל חדר. כל הבקתות אותו דבר עם גלריה למעלה עם 2 מיטות. הבן אהב לשון שם. מגבות החליפו כל יום. בריכה מקורה ומחוממת וסאונה. שחינו כשבחוץ היה +3 מעלות מטבח כללי גדול עם אפשרות לעשות מנגל גם בפנים וגם בחוץ מול נוף המדהים, כמו כן יש גז, אפשר להכין אוכל. בעל הבית מאוד אדיב ונעים, ממש דאג לכל דבר מה שהיינו צריכים. אפשר לקבל ארוחות בוקר בתשלום. עזבנו את המקום עם חוויות טובות. נחזור."

Distance between bed and the walls was tiny, you have to do some physical exercise to get in. Also, the toilet felt a bit fragile :)

"De locatie was in het centrum van Ramallah. Prima locatie, altijd druk verkeer, maar daar hoor je weinig van in het hotel. De ontbijtzaal/bar/restaurant was gezellig ingericht en de wijn was prima. Ik kreeg een upgrade toen ik de tweede keer een kamer had geboekt, dat was erg aardig. De upgrade gaf me een grote kamer op de bovenste etage met een prachtig uitzicht over Ramallah. Personeel erg behulpzaam en vriendelijk!"

Het was nogal koud in de kamer, omdat de airco ingesteld stond op zomerstand en dat was niet te wijzigen. (ik was er eind april/begin mei en het was nog niet heel warm in Ramallah). Zodra de zon in de kamer kwam werd het warm genoeg, maar 's avonds was het nogal koud (17 graden).

"Relaxte ligging, ja je hoort wel wat in het weekend vanaf de boulevard, maar niet veel na 23 uur. Waanzinnig uitzicht. Wij hadden de grootste kamer geboekt van 28m2 met 2x2-persoonsbedden, zeezicht en een mooi terras met keuken. Je kan een zwembadhanddoek/strandhanddoek halen bij de receptie. Wil je je gewone handdoeken of linnen vervangen hebben, moet je het in een mand gooien een nummer bellen dan wordt het gedaan. Wij hebben er voor die 3 nachten geen gebruik van gemaakt. Wij hadden 4 handdoeken per persoon. Het heeft dus eerder een voorkomen van een aparthotel, of appartement. De vuilnisbak op het terras wordt wel elke dag geleegd."

Wij hebben er geen gebruik van gemaakt, maar zelf je bed afhalen als je nieuw linnen wilt (als de vertaling juist was) is wel wat apart.

Many pigeon droppings outside, even arround the pool. Very loud ventilator in the bathroom. Bad smell outside at night.

"The family room was small, but had everything you need. The breakfast was delicious and the drink prices were reasonable. The best choice in the area. Evening village life is a separate show, unfortunately we couldn't find any entertainment nearby. And the wealthier residents instead gathered at our place of stay."

The first night we had trouble sleeping because at 3AM all the villagers started making noise (roosters, dogs, cats, turkeys, goats, sheep) but by the second and third we were already used to the village sounds.

"Prima hotel op een leuke locatie. Je zit direct in het hart van Zahleh. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en gastvrij, en het was fijn om een lekkere warme douche te kunnen nemen. Goede kwaliteit voor de prijs die je betaalt."
