"Very nice and special place, 15 min from the town (it's a beautiful walk along the beach). Placed tight at the beach. Very beautiful common areas with a great unique vibe. Eggs, onions and garlic for cooking available, coffee too. Andres is always around, very nice and helpful. Great atmosphere. Beautiful stars in the night."

You can only charge your electronic devices if you give them to Andres (which is easy enough though because he is around a lot). And it's understandable given the location of the hostel.

"If you are more a visitor then a tourist, if you like exploring and going further when comfortable tourism ends, this place is for you. The authenticity, genuine friendliness and welcoming hearts of the people of the community made this stay incredibly unique and one of the best experiences of my life. When staying here one can get closer to locals, animals, cultural sights, traditions, local way of life, nature and the PNG culture in general then in any other accommodation. The PNGFE made my stay very comfortable and made me experience local life and the raw nature of PNG!!"

"Een eenvoudige kamer die de bewoners over hebben en daarom verhuren. Aardige, hulpvaardige mensen, spreken ook redelijk Engels. Er is een waterkoker waarmee je thee of koffie kunt zetten. Voor als je langer blijft is er ook een koelkast en een magnetron. Goeie tips gekregen voor avondeten en ontbijt (uitstekende bakker op 10 minuten rijden)."

Het adres is in een woonwijk en omdat ze in Japan geen straatnaam en huisnummer hanteren kan dat lastig te vinden zijn, vooral in het donker. Maar met Google Maps kon ik het toch uitstekend vinden.

"That’s amazing studio flat in a very nice hotel. It is sad that is sharing apartment, but you don’t share anything. You have your private bathroom, washing machine, private kitchen, private balcony, the only thing you share is one door to get to your flat. There are food shops and restaurants all around. Tram and bus stops very close. Metro station is about 1 km away, but you can take tram to get there, it takes two stops. Apartment was clean, nice clean white sheets, clean good towel, shampoo and hair conditioner. Security downstairs so you feel absolutely safe. Location is good for taking a walk by the marina to see yachts and a wonderful view to all buildings around. Wi-fi was good."

There is nothing in the kitchen, no spoons, no forks, no cups, no plates, absolutely empty. I had to buy a cup just to make coffee. Had to wait host for 1,5 hour. The main things to see are far away from the property, you need to take metro and ride 10-15 stops to see burj khalifa, the frame, future museum and ect. At least it’s one line. There was bad smell in the kitchen (can’t understand where it was coming from) had to keep balcony’s door open all the time. Very noisy street outside, cars and trams traffic all the time.

Tout était vraiment parfait. Si nous devons repartir en Guyane nous savons où aller.

Eigenlijk niets, je moet voor 1000 xaf een taxi nemen om naar " centre ville" te komen....maat dat was mijn grootste " bezwaar"

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. loved listening to her speak of her children. the love in her eye's that that shows for her children and moko's that live in Aotearoa when speaking of them. As well as her belated husband. Thank you so much for everything and opening up your home and making us feel like family I will always remember the aroha that you have shown us whilst our visit to Rarotonga. I wish you nothing but the best. I hope anyone that books your house respects and appreciates you and your beautiful whare/ house that you work hard to maintain. Ik verbleef in twee verschillende kamers: de loft 2 voor eerste dag en drie dagen in the cottage. The loft prima accommodatie, en keurige inrichting. The cottage: verouderd en heeft opknap beurt nodig: badkamer, douche, vloer en muren outdated en versleten. Sloten om binnen te komen in slechte staat.

The location is on 28 minute drive from Masjid e Nabawi. Taxi would be costly.

"De fietsen waren in goede staat! Eten met lekker glas rode wijn was lekker. Het personeel was wel vriendelijk en de pick up aan de ferry met de scooters is een leuke ervaring."

De eigenaar was enkel beschikbaar via Whatsapp. Dit was heel jammer want van een homestay had ik verwacht dat er een conversatie (ook al is het met behulp van een vertalingsapp) mogelijk is in vivo voor o.a. onze volgende stappen te boeken. Zeker gezien Grab met taxi’s er niet is. Alleen scooters wat niet handig is met twee kinderen en onze rugzakken. Het zwembad dat je op de foto’s ziet is niet in de homestay zelf en een extra kost.

"Eenvoudig, maar praktisch ingericht en voorzien van alle gemakken! Prima bed (niet zo breed) Prima prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Super vriendelijke host!"

Als ik persé iets zou moeten noemen, is het het ontbreken van een kraan en wasbak in het keukenblok. Creatief met afwassen, door vullen van de aanwezige teil met de waterkoker, die je in de badkamer met een kommetje moet vullen, omdat hij niet onder de kraan past 😁 Maar goed, ik vond het zelf gewoon prima zo.

Dumbea sur Mer is basically a boring suburb of McMansion houses and a shopping mall.

"Staff were really helpful and kind, helping us find the Gare Routiere and sending the location of the hotel itself. Ziguinchor is a small town anyway but everything was in walking distance. Very quiet and comfortable. Excellent value for money"

"Hosts were super friendly, very helpful and kind. Silvio gave me a ride back to airport when I arrived and needed to pick up my partner (we traveled separately there). The house and the room were nice and clean, huge fridge and well equipped kitchen for the guests to use. Netflix with guest account in the room was a nice extra. Big terrace with sunbeds. The location itself was lovely, locals were friendly and helpful as well. Airport is very close, 40 mins walk or 6 mins with the car."

I know it's not the hosts fault, because there was an issue with the pool due the construction works in the neighborhood the time we're staying there and we couldn't use it. Would have been nice, because the pool itself is pretty big.

"This is an excellent small guesthouse and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and Bahir Dar is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa. The hosts, Ashenafi and Habtamu, showed us around and made us feel very welcome."

This is a new guesthouse and they are still getting all the facitilties that a western tourist would expect, but everything important was there including shower, cooking facilities, chairs and tables in the patio and a barbeque!

"Super kind and helpful hosts (speak Spanish, English and French). Very big and well equipped rooms, hammocks and comfy seats to relax in the tropical garden, with various plants and trees... A restaurant just next door and a supermarket in short walking distance... only 15min to the airport... Very comfy bed and warm water shower... Would highly recommend this place!"

"Het ontbijt was ongelooflijk uitgebreid met diverse huisgemaakte producten, ruime keuze in beleg en met fruit. Voor een heel schappelijke prijs. Als de andere kamer ook is verhuurd, heb je kans dat je die gasten ontmoet aan het ontbijt. Zo kun je ervaringen en tips uitwisselen. Je kunt eventueel vragen of je tegen betaling mag mee eten 's avonds. Ana is een goede kokkin! Er is goede waterdruk. Het is uitzicht is geweldig. De slaapkamer ligt op dezelfde verdieping als die van de verhuurders. In de 4 dagen dat we daar logeerden, hebben we ze niet één keer op de verdieping ontmoet. Je mag gebruik maken van de huiskamer op dezelfde verdieping. Er is een garage voor je huurauto. Heel prettig! Ana en César zijn alleraardigst en zeer behulpzaam. De communicatie gaat in het Frans. Beetje Spaans of Duits kan ook, geloof ik. En natuurlijk Portugees."

De accommodatie ligt aan de rand van Taffaral, in een wijk die nog wat ontwikkeld wordt. Veel huizen verkeren in diverse stadia van afbouw. Dat is geen hele gezellige aanblik soms, maar het is wel hoe Kaapverdië is. Je ziet het overal, dus in dat opzicht is het niet raar. Wij vonden het passend bij de hele Kaapverdië-ervaring. Dit is dus niet echt een punt waar de verhuurder zelf veel invloed op heeft. Ze zouden het graag ook anders zien.

"My stay at this guest house was absolutely fantastic! The host was excellent, very kind, and provided a lot of detailed advice before my trip, which was incredibly helpful. Staying in a whole house was great! The location allowed me to spend very quiet and comfortable nights. It was conveniently situated close to the coastal road and within easy walking distance. When I travel to Tonga again, I will definitely choose to stay here! Highly recommend."
