Vakantiehuizen in Haïti

"Wij kwamen vroeger aan dan gepland en mochten - ondanks dat de host nog aan het schoonmaken was al naar binnen. We hebben fijn alle spullen kunnen wassen en het huis was groter, schoner en fijner dan verwacht. De locatie vlakbij de oceaan is ook erg mooi, een veilige buurt. Heerlijk gebraaid op de binnen braai, in de zomer zou dit ook buiten kunnen."

We waren er in de winter, het huis was eigenlijk te koud. We hebben 3 zakken hout gestookt op de openhaard om het behagelijk te krijgen (overige wel goed dat je dit voor een schappelijke prijs kon kopen ter plekke).

"De ligging is heel centraal, vlak bij het oude centrum. Er is een privé parkeerplaats voor de deur. De kamers waren superschoon. Het huis is mooi gerestaureerd, met robuust materiaal en gezellig ingericht met stevig meubilair. Heerlijke bedden! Volledig ingerichte keuken. Julia is een vriendelijke gastvrouw, die ons wegwijs heeft gemaakt in het huis. Er stond fruit en drinken voor ons klaar. We voelden ons welkom!"

"Owners responded promptly. Complimentary breakfast added a delightful touch. Beds were comfortable. The beach was just a 2-3 minute walk away, and parking was conveniently located right in front of the unit. The staff were exceptionally helpful."

The shower had a heater problem, there was no shampoo or soap in the lower washrooms, and the TV didn't work. However, none of these issues affected our stay.

"Het is een prachtig, ruim huis met een geweldig uitzicht. De zonsopgang is een magisch moment, zeker vanaf het dakterras bekeken. We werden heel gastvrij ontvangen en hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad. De staff van het huis is buitengewoon vriendelijk geweest en de maaltijden van de kok waren geweldig. Mr. Mohamed heeft ons ontzettend goed geholpen bij het organiseren van uitstapjes en had heel goede ideeën voor het invullen van het programma. Ook zijn begeleiding was zeer prettig tijdens onze diverse uitstapjes wat een heel fijn en veilig gevoel gaf. We komen zeker terug!"

"Patrick en Lisbeth zijn 2 geweldige mensen. Ophaal.van vliegveld, direct even stoppen bij supermarkt om alvast wat spullen te kopen. De gastvrijheid die je direct voelt. Je kunt voor alle vragen bij ze terecht en ze helpen waar ze kunnen. Ook de accommodatie was super. Op loopafstand van restaurants, winkels en openbaar vervoer. Hierdoor hebben wij een super vakantie gehad op het prachtige Barbados 😊😊"

"L'accueil de la propriétaire qui était présente et qui nous a fait faire le tour des lieux, l'accès à la piscine même si nous n'en avons pas profité hélas!!! et pour notre départ nous avons pu laisser nos bagages sur place ce qui nous a évité de les avoir pendant la dernière journée."

Il serait bien qu'un minimum pour le premier petit déjeuner soit proposé ce serait top et peut être un peu plus de vaisselle comme on peut y être entre 4 et 6 personnes c'est un peu léger.

"Sfeervol, mooi huis, rustig gelegen, op 2 minuten loopafstand van een supermarkt en 7 minuten van het centrum.. Binnen een half uur loop je naar Jasna Lake. De gastheer is erg vriendelijk en reageert direct bij vragen per SMS."

Klein detail: het aantal stopcontacten in de keuken was beperkt, waardoor je nogal eens stekkers moest wisselen.

"Amazing stay from beginning to end. Clean and spacious villas with all that you need. 3 rooms, 3 bathrooms. AC working well in rooms and downstairs. Superb and safe spot if you want space and to be quiet. The view was our biggest surprise on the San Juan beach and the Christo statue. Surronded by nature, birds and butterflies. Easy to access, but you do need a car to get around from there. With a car, you are 5 minutes from the city, groceries, beaches, etc. Staff always there to help and very cordial and available. Our stay was beyond our expectations and we could not be more happy with our choice. Thank you for everything Bahia Del Sol."

"The location was excellent, its best suited for families and those who want to spend time in solitude a little away from hustle and bustle of main road. House is well equipped with ameneties. Be prepared with your own stuff and its like living in your own home."

Nothing But a word of caution the road to house comes down from main Abbottabad road for 6 minutes through some steep slopes, tight turns and a beautiful forest. In the Morning its amazing, at night chance of getting panicked. Dont panick! Just make sure your car has good engine, tyres and breaks.

"The house is comfortable in a quiet location. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short due to a medical issue that needed regular treatment in town—no fault of the host or house."

A car is needed as there are few facilities close by.

The only inconvenience was that we ran out of water and weren't able to use until next morning, and the water tank that was filled during the night overflowed and downpoured on 1 of the rooms causing rapturous noise until we finally got a hold of a staff to close the tube(?).

"Mooi huis op compound met beveiliging dus erg veilig gevoeld. 1 badkamer prachtig gerenoveerd. Grote tuin. Bij navraag vooraf bleek er geen föhn beschikbaar te zijn, maar de eigenaar heeft er speciaal voor ons (en volgende gasten) eentje aangeschaft, super lief!! Ook lag er wat lekkers klaar bij aankomst!"

Geen vaatwasser. Er waren veel gras branden in de omgeving, dus veel stank overlast waardoor we onze was niet buiten wilden ophangen...
