"Dit is het ultieme voorbeeld van een ‘home always from home’. Maya is in de wieg gelegd om host te zijn. Ze doet echt alles om je niet alleen onmiddellijk thuis te laten voelen maar ook dat je reis zo goed mogelijk verloopt. Tips alom! Alles met de glimlach en op een niet-opdringerige manier. De kamers bieden alle basis-comfort, zijn kraakproper en de bedden garandere een goede nachtrust (dit is soms anders in Nepal 😉). Vlakbij de hustle and bustle van het drukkere gedeelte van Lakeside maar met een tuin waar je heerlijk kan genieten. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en is op maat. Elke dag tovert Shaundra (sorry als ik het verkeerd zeg) iets heerlijks op je bord. Kortom, dit verblijf is een warm adresje gerund door mensen met een hart, een aanrader!"

"Vriendelijke eigenaars. Welkom met huisgemaakte zoetigheid en tal van info. Communicatie vooraf was prima. Volledig huisje -degelijk en comfortabel ingericht in leuke tuin waarvan we mochten genieten. Dichtbij het oude centrum gelegen. Parkeren mogelijk mits op voorhand aanvragen."

"We loved the view from our shady balcony, the beautiful nearby beach, the comfortable king size bed, and the modern kitchen. Our hostess Michela was so helpful. She met us at the airport car rental. We followed her to a grocery store and she waited while we did our shopping. Then we followed her to the cottage and she helped us with our luggage."

The air conditioning is only in the bedroom so the rest of the cottage could be uncomfortably hot. The walkway is uneven and a trip hazard. Several deckboards on the way down need to be replaced. No handrails on some stairs. Galley Bay beach is beautiful, but sometimes rough. A car is needed for travel to calmer beaches on some days.

"It was so well equipped for our family. The small pool was great for my 3 year old. We had our own private entrance, patio and outdoor sitting area. It felt safe and provided a restful place for us to call home for 5 days. Many beaches nearby, one within walking distance."

There are tons of mosquitos and tiny ants. This was observed elsewhere on the island that we stayed too and is not particular of this property. Be prepared with your own insect repellent.

"De ligging was perfect, pal in het stadje vlakbij alles en de uitbaters zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De accommodatie was prima uitgerust om zelf te koken. Er was een muskietennet om te beschermen tegen insecten, en dat was nodig. Op vraag om onze kleren te wassen, kregen we dezelfde dag nog onze kleren proper terug, dat was super snelle service."

Een algemene kritiek voor Tobago is loslopende honden. Ook dit verblijf heeft daar last van, wat maakt dat je niet rustig op het terras kan eten zonder lastiggevallen te worden door 'bedelaars'. Dat is natuurlijk iets waar de uitbaters weinig aan kunnen verhelpen.

Superb and safe spot if you want space and to be quiet. The view was our biggest surprise on the San Juan beach and the Christo statue. Surronded by nature, birds and butterflies. Easy to access, but you do need a car to get around from there. With a car, you are 5 minutes from the city, groceries, beaches, etc. Staff always there to help and very cordial and available. Our stay was beyond our expectations and we could not be more happy with our choice. Thank you for everything Bahia Del Sol."

"This was a great house with all the facilities we needed for a 5 night stay. We were a group of 9 which is probably the maximum this house can take, the sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable but was fine for our shorter trip. Everything worked really well and the hotel this villa is connected to had great facilities like a sauna and hottib which were free to use. The host was great, the location for this villa is slightly incorrect on this site as it was a bit further out than we expected but the host was helpful in getting us transport everymoring to the ski centers."

"Wij kwamen vroeger aan dan gepland en mochten - ondanks dat de host nog aan het schoonmaken was al naar binnen. We hebben fijn alle spullen kunnen wassen en het huis was groter, schoner en fijner dan verwacht. De locatie vlakbij de oceaan is ook erg mooi, een veilige buurt. Heerlijk gebraaid op de binnen braai, in de zomer zou dit ook buiten kunnen."

We waren er in de winter, het huis was eigenlijk te koud. We hebben 3 zakken hout gestookt op de openhaard om het behagelijk te krijgen (overige wel goed dat je dit voor een schappelijke prijs kon kopen ter plekke).

"The location was excellent, its best suited for families and those who want to spend time in solitude a little away from hustle and bustle of main road. House is well equipped with ameneties. Be prepared with your own stuff and its like living in your own home."

Nothing But a word of caution the road to house comes down from main Abbottabad road for 6 minutes through some steep slopes, tight turns and a beautiful forest. In the Morning its amazing, at night chance of getting panicked. Dont panick! Just make sure your car has good engine, tyres and breaks.

"The host Greg answered all of our questions and was always available for help! The bedrooms are fair sized and all with bathrooms which is fantastic. The house has many great amenities."

Communal seating arrangements could be better / cosier, as well as outside space would be amazing with a terrace! Sauna had limited hours that we can't control, but is what is!

"Mooie tuin met heerlijk privé-zwembad in de tuin. Uitzicht vanuit de huiskamer op het zwembad. Goede douche, keuken met alles erop en eraan."

In tegenstelling tot buiten oogt het huis binnen wat oud en gedateerd. Oude meubels, badkamer zeer eenvoudig en oud, airco maakte continu herrie, in de wc beneden hing een vieze lucht (net als op het terras buiten). Op zich is dit een prima accoommodatie, maar is het wel overpriced voor wat je ervoor krijgt.

"Die Wohnung ist sehr ruhig gelegen und komfortabel, die Einrichtung ist sehr schön und wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns, dass wir zwei Bäder hatten und der schöne Garten, in dem man gemütlich frühstücken konnte. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es gab auch die Möglichkeit dass für uns traditionelles Essen gekocht wird, was sehr lecker war, und unsere Wäsche gewaschen wird. Wir bedanken uns sehr herzlich und freuen uns, nochmal wieder zu kommen :)"

Het was bekend, maar toch was het wel jammer dat je een keuken hebt waar je niet in kunt koken.

De BBQ hebben we met plezier gebruikt en daarvoor kregen we wat diesel om de kolen aan te krijgen. Het terrein wordt afgesloten met een automatisch hek, dat voelt veilig."

De hanen in de buurt maken je vroeg wakker, maar zo erg is dat nu ook weer niet.

"La camera padronale è uno spettacolo di accoglienza, ben arredata, piena di luce e di comodità. La cucina con open space è molto funzionale, comoda e completamente attrezzata. Sali la comoda rampa di scale ed al piano di sopra ci sono le camere comode e piene di luce con i relativi bagni."
