"A fantastic place. Quiet and peaceful at the end of a canyon. The villa has absolutely everything. You can have a dip in the pool, do a big bbq, explore the nearby canyon or just relax at one of many cozy places. Olya and her family are perfect hosts, very good communication and so nice! We stayed one more night than planned because we loved it so much."

"Clean, spacious and quiet. There's WIFI which was necessary as the cell phone signal (T-Mobile) was bad there."

Didn't have cell phone signal. It's a little bit of a drive to get to any store.

"Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist sehr schön, es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und die Aufteilung der Zimmer sind für große Familien und Gruppen die keinen Neubau erwarten, sehr gut geeignet. Wir würden das Haus wieder buchen. Simona und Ton waren immer sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich."

Die Heizung und das warme Wasser werden wie viele Heizung in der Region durch eine Nachtspeicherheizung erwärmt. Hier wäre es schön wenn man einen Holzofen in den öffentlichen Räumen hätte, um noch schneller auf die gewünschte Temperatur zu kommen.

"Wir hatten telefonisch Kontakt zur Vermieterin. Zur Schlüsselübergabe kam jemand und hat den Schlüssel und das Haus übergeben. Der Garten ist sehr groß. Der Plattensee mit einem Spaziergang erreichbar. Die ganze Siedlung wird nur im Sommer bewohnt. Das sollte man wissen."

Es gab einen Fernseher, aber nur ungarische Programme. Internet war leider nur per Mobil möglich, was das Traffikguthaben ziemlich schmälerte. Wir hatten große Tarife, da ging es schon. Aber mit 10 GB kommt man nicht lange, wenn man Netflix sieht. Prepaid-Internet wäre ne Möglichkeit.

"De host is zeer vriendelijk, we werden opgewacht zodat we zeker de weg (onverhard) naar het huisje konden vinden. Het huisje is zeer leuk gerenoveerd met nog oude antieke elementen. Het uitzicht was fenomenaal! Wij verbleven met onze kindjes van 5 en 8 jaar die boven in het zetelbed sliepen en wij sliepen onderaan."

Als je als ouder onderaan slaapt, en de kindjes slapen boven in het zetelbed, kan je minder lang genieten van het mooie uitzicht, dus misschien wisselen van slaapplek :) Het bed was eerder aan de hardere kant maar dat is voor iedereen persoonlijk anders. De douche is zeer basic, wat wij niet erg vinden. Maar misschien beter voorbereid zijn hierop. Er was wat een vochtige geur, maar we hadden ook minder goed weer waardoor we soms geurhinder van de leidingen hadden wat niet veel voorkomt. We komen graag eens terug, we raden het zeker aan.

Podría decir que el olor en un inicio es bastante húmedo, pero ya después se acostumbra y pasa un poco desapercibido.

"De locatie is fantastisch en het huisje is heel gezellig. Het dorpje is fantastisch en de mensen zijn heel vriendelijk."

Het inchecken verliep een beetje moeizaam omdat er geen receptie was. Uiteindelijk zijn we wel telefonisch goed geholpen. Het huisje zoeken was ook even een zoektocht. We kregen uiteindelijk een heel ander huisje dan wat we geboekt hadden, maar het huisje was wel heel gezellig.

"Boendet ligger i Regent som ligger lite högre upp i bergen jämfört med Freetown. Det gör att det är lite svalare och inte så tryckande värme som nere i stan. Det är visserligen en bit att köra om man ska in i centrum, men samtidigt är det inte så mycket bilköer som inne i stan. Värdarna tog hand om oss på ett bra sätt och huset vi hyrde hade rätt bra standard. Hög standard för att vara i Sierra Leone."

Jag har inte något som jag inte tyckte om. Möjligen att du måste ha tillgång till egen transport om du enkelt ska ta dig till och från boendet.

"The host was lovely. Arranged a time to meet and greet to show us around. Basic snacks and drinks were provided which was a nice touch. House was clean and well maintained. Towels and spare sheets provided. 2 bathrooms was great. Great washer and dryer (massive american style washer and dryer), fully kitted out kitchen and convenient parking outside property in a nice quiet neighbourhood. Property exactly as advertised. Very nice facilities. 7 minutes drive to Sheraton shopping mall though there is a 'popular' supermarket which is walking distance or 2 minutes drive. Its about 15 minutes to bridgetown or oistins which is very central and banks are close by. Host arranged a housekeeper half way through holiday at no extra charge and we even had resident monkeys greeting us every morning. Only teeny tiny thing was the middle (1of 3) bedroom had a ceiling fan rather than ac and it was hot but that was minor really."

It would be good if there could be an established recycling collection/point locally.

"The villa is spacious and well ventilated. The swimming pool is clean and almost entirely ours. The staff Grace and Amani are very good and welcoming. The owner Monica is also good and always checking whether we were comfortable."

A microwave is very necessary. I didn't see an iron box either but I didn't ask whether there was one. The deserted bushy stretch of the road from the main road is scaring especially at night.

Dommage le frigo ne fonctionnait pas. Dans la mesure où il y a un lave-linge, un petit étendage, en sus de l’échelle pour les serviettes, serait pratique

"Nice cabin in the jungle. The host was very supportive and waited for us in the apartment. He also gave us tips how to organise ourselfes in the village, which is a bit tricky in those closed areas in the middle of the jungle. The moskito nets where intact in Chez Faby (not in Carbet Bawouette)."

The village-wide WiFi does not work at all. There is free starlink at the grocery shop, otherwise you have no connection in the whole village. Apartment would need a thorough cleaning.

"Incredible location near the beach and close to the shop. Beautiful large garden and extremely well equipped kitchen. And we loved the cat and the dogs and chickens in the garden. Lots of towels were a real luxury. Lovely comfy beds 😀 and very handy having the top loading washing machine. It felt like a home rather than just a holiday place and was much bigger than we expected from the photos and description on Booking.com"

A sign to the villa would have been really helpful and check in instructions before arriving. The safe didn't work and It needs a lock on the bathroom door please 🙂 Wifi and air con would be amazing, we appreciate its expensive and wifi is elusive on the island. Maybe more fans would help in the absence of air con . The TV didn't work unfortunately even on one channel. A paddle board would have been incredible!
