No filters for the coffee maker. The streets are in bad shape once you drop off the Main Street to get to the house.

De ligging is wat achteraf en de taxichauffeur moest meerdere keren bellen voordat de dame naar buiten kwam. Ook was de overeengekomen prijs online volgens de dame niet voldoende, dus heb ik uiteindelijk meer moeten betalen.

As all activities and transport are organized by the host, I sometimes had to wait quite long time for the driver to arrive. This was not the hosts fault, but it is important to know when planning a trip to Tanna.

"Our group of 20 had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stellas in Ziemupe. The holiday home exceeded our expectations, with 10 spacious bedrooms that perfectly accommodated each couple. The jacuzzi was a fantastic addition, and having a private beach just 400 meters away was a dream! We spent a beautiful day and night enjoying the peaceful surroundings and watching a stunning sunset by the sea. The two kitchens, one large and one smaller, made meal preparations easy and seamless for our group. "The place is not a 5-star guest house, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way I was treated. The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and the facilities were better than some of the hotels I have stayed in across Africa. My bed was even a TV bed — I connected my MP3 player and listened to music through the bed speakers… great experience! The location is excellent, with the airport just a stone’s throw away. The staff even went out to buy takeaway food for me when I requested it, which I really appreciated. I do wish they had WiFi, but I understand they may be keeping their costs down. However, I was given a pre-loaded SIM card to make calls to my family, which was a thoughtful gesture."

Sharing the bathroom. However, it was not a bad thing.

"Erg goedkoop voor zo'n toeristische locatie, maar dat zag je er zeker niet aan af. Grote kamer en badkamer en we kregen zelfs een koelkast op de kamer na gevraagd te hebben om het water koud te leggen."

Het avondeten kun je beter in het stadje Wadi Musa zelf halen.

"Ik werd heel vriendelijk ontvangen. Ik kon mijn bagage achterlaten totdat ik kon inchecken. Alles is erg schoon. De kamer is sober en niet erg sfeervol, maar dat was prima voor deze prijs. Ik kreeg een groot bed in mijn eentje, dat was fijn! Locatie super, het pension rustig en stil. Perfect voor één nachtje, aanrader!"

Geen airco aanwezig waardoor wel warm op de kamers.

"Ontvangst en de ruimte. Maar ook ontbijt wat elke ochtend met veel liefde en aandacht werd klaargemaakt."

Weg ernaar toe is flink hobbelig.

"Het pension is misschien iets gedateerd maar dat heeft ook weer zijn charme. De ligging is heel fijn op 15 rijden vanaf het meer van Bled."

De douche op de gang is wel erg klein.
