"The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The bathroom was old but the hot water worked well. There was a fridge. Overall a decent stay."

The toilet leaked all over the bathroom floor. It feels a bit out of town but only a short drive away.

"Pick up aan de luchthaven, onthaal, uitleg, rondleiding, ... Allemaal door vriendelijk en enthousiast personeel. Zeer behulpzaam. Kamers waren piekfijn in orde. Alles netjes."

"It was really good value for money in the area, the breakfast was nice and filling, egg made fresh, avocado, toast, fruit, coffee and tea. The room was really nice we thought it might be cold but the blankets kept us perfect temperature. Only a 4 minute drive from the bus terminal. The man on reception kindly flagged a tuktuk down for us in the morning to the terminal."

"Echt een belevenis. Heel oud huis. Met heel vriendelijke mensen. Je kan echt voelen hoe het vroeger was. En nu nog steeds is. Wel airconditioning 👍👍"

Je neemt best een kleine rugzak mee voor de tijd dat je er logeert. Het is enkel te voet te bereiken. En het is klimmen op de kasseien naar boven.

"We hadden 2 nette, schone, ruime kamers met airco én fan en muskietennet. Ruime badkamer met aparte wc en douche cel met heerlijke warm water en goede straal. Ook een overdekt zitje buiten voor de kamer. Wel veel muggen. Niet gehorig! Vriendelijke eigenaar. Guesthouse zit midden in Hikkaduwa, vlakbij de zee en winkels en restaurants. Een echte aanrader."

De stroom werd overdag soms uit gezet waardoor er geen warm water was en telefoons niet opgeladen konden worden

"De ligging. Rustig gelegen maar op wandelafstand van het drukke centrum van St Julians. Mooie kamer."

Er is geen bar meer aanwezig en geen bar of winkeltje in de omliggende straten. Misschien thee of koffie voorzien op de kamer?

"We loved the courtyard where we had our breakfast which we put together from supplies from a nearby supermarket and the street fruit vendors. As shown on the wesite, the courtyard is a truly delightful spot, especially in a sunny morning, and important if you wish to eat or chat with your fellow travellers, as our rooms were too small for that. The staff were kind an helpful, and the daily room service and available linen service, ensured a clean room (and clean clothes). The location was close to where our conference was held and in a short walking distance the the lakeside, parliament house etc. Other city sights, the Plaza shopping mall, etc were usually an inexpensive taxi ride away."

The absence of wi-fi and difficulties getting an internet connection the courtyard and my room was a real inconvenience, only solved by purchasing a local sim and forgetting about my usual roaming arrangement for keeping in touch with family back home.

"Zooo dichtbij de zee!!! Je slaapt eigenlijk op het strand. We hadden een suite met uitzicht op zee. Daar zijn er vier van: de twee op de hoek hebben naast een groot tweepersoonsbed ook een derde (eenpersoons)bed. Voor ons ideaal, want we reisden met twee volwassenen en een kind. De afstand van je bed tot de zee is 10meter. Geweldig. Prima service. Bij ons was een kleine lekkage: direct deskundig verholpen. Heerlijk ontbijt in het restaurant dat ook op het strand zit."

Het guesthouse ligt ver van het busstation. In Belmopan valt niets te beleven, wel in de omgeving, maar dan is een eigen auto handig . Met de bus kom je niet ver en kost te veel tijd

"De locatie is perfect: middenin het oude centrum en alles op loopafstand. Timur en zijn vrouw zijn ontzettend aardig en laten je thuis voelen. Ze bereiden een geweldig uitgebreid en lekker ontbijt voor je elke ochtend en hij haalde ons op van het station. Het was een hele leuke ervaring om zo bij mensen thuis te slapen."

De matrassen op de bedden zijn wat oud en het gordijn sluit niet helemaal goed.

"Heerlijk ruim appartement met zitje buiten. Het bed was fantastisch en lekker groot. De hostess heeft ons zo gastvrij ontvangen. En ons verteld over Aruba. En een taxi geregeld! Heel tof !"

Accommodatie is helemaal prima maar lekker buiten zitten kon ik niet vanwege de muggen.

"Amazing location right on the beach, quiet surroundings yet not too far away from shops, restaurants and the city center. The house was spacious and clean with A.C., a fan and a fully equipped kitchen with fridge. Mr. Dagobert was very kind and welcoming, he also picked us up from the station. Thank you, it was a really nice stay!"

Keep in mind the accomodation is very basic and I think some renovations could be done, for instance our room didn’t have mosquito nets.

Eigenlijk niets, maar als we dan iets moeten noemen dan de slaapbank (kraakt wel behoorlijk). Het gewone bed is superfijn!

"Lovely jamaican couple running a little Guest House just 5 min away from the beach. The highlight of the stay was the pool and the served food for dinner. I highly recommend eating at the Guest House! The rooms were spacious and nicely temperature thanks to the well working AC. If you looking for a nice and peaceful place to stay close to kokrobite, don't miss out on that one!"
