"Toplocatie. Veel privee, auto bij de deur op gesloten domein. Weg van de drukte en op korte wandelafstand van het prachtige oude centrum. Was nu wel geen seizoen , maar denk tijdens het zeer drukke topseizoen je niet veel plaatsen als dit zal vinden waar je aan de drukte kunt wegtrekken , zoveel privee hebt en toch zo goed gelegen bent. We voelden ons echt thuis. Alles is er ook."

"Bwaah tegenvallen, eigenlijk niets. Een spinnenwebje aan een licht, houten vloer met gleuven tussen die waarschijnlijk op termijn zullen vervuilen maar bij ons thuis is ook niet alles perfect. Deze dingen geven net zijn charme en lieten ons thuisvoelen. Eigenlijk was het voor ons bijna perfectie met net zoals thuis hier en daar een kanttekeningetje. Bv geen voorraad wc papier, wat ik eerder al melde het webje. Bed piept 😂 😂. Douche vond ik SUPER TOF, jammer dat water langs gordijn buiten douche lekt, ..."

"Being a short walk to the ancient city was good. The barn setting was interesting. We enjoyed restaurants here. The Information Centre was helpful and ordered our taxi to the station as we had no other option with no phone."

"We did not realise that a car was essential for accessing shops in Meximieux., Also a phone to communicate in French. Not an option for some overseas visitors. Taxis can only be ordered by phone and our hostess was unable to give us access to the key code. Fortunately a neighbour was able to ring in our behalf and we received the code."

"Extremely comfortable, stylish, spacious and well equipped accomodation in an imaginatively converted stable building within a former farmyard. Only a few minutes walk from the medieval village of Perouges (Most Beautiful Village in France listed). Secure covered parking within the locked confines of the farmyard. Clear instructions and keycodes provided in advance for accessing the 2 keysafes - one for entry to the farmyard, the other for the key to to the accomodation."

"No complaints at all about the property itself which was impeccable in every respect, though we were a little unsure at first as to where the property actually was. Tip: look out for a metal double gate at the end of a short slightly overgrown driveway! We also had a slight problem at first locking the front door but this was due to our own ineptitude. Unlike English multipoint doors where you just pull up on the handle before locking, French ones you need to push firmly down first before then pulling up and locking. This was clearly explained by the hosts when I rang them. To be honest the mediaeval village itself though within easy walking range whilst visually charming was a little underwhelming. Not much more than a lifeless museum piece really once the days visitors had departed, and with only limited opportunities for dining/drinking... but we weren't exactly there peak season (it was Easter weekend though!). However an unexpected bonus for us being birdwatchers was the property's proximity to the excellent birding area of the Dombes (so called 'Land of a Thousand Ponds') of which we had not previously been aware but which provided excellent birding."

"The front gate was difficult to open and we succeeded only opening one side. Luckily we could just squeeze thru. To note that our GPS had difficulty to find the address."

"Ancienne étable transformée dans l’originalité et avec goût. Pour qui aime la nature, la rusticité, comme nous, c’est le paradis. À 5 minutes à pied de la vieille cité médiévale de Pérouges donc idéal pour visiter sans tracas de parking. On va recommander à notre entourage."

"Ausgefallene Einrichtung des Studios, sehr interessant, das Holz ist roh und sehr solide verbaut. Sehr ruhig, sehr komfortabel, es ist alles vorhanden. Das Studio ist mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, die Farbe (petrol) passt sehr gut zur Einrichtung und ist Leitthema. Der Stall ist mit seinen Details noch gut zu erkennen, man schläft unter der Raufe 🐄... Was uns besonders gut gefiel war die Sicherheit;, wir hatten einen voll gepackten Wagen, der auf dem Hof gut aufgehoben war. Das Tor ist historisch 😊, es funktioniert alles, aber man muss wissen, wie..."
