"The apartment is secure, clean, spacious and well equipped. It is near the downtown area of Luanda, within walking distance of the Marginal, Fortaleza de Sao Miguel, Fortaleza Shopping, Banco do Angola, Church of Our Lady of the Remedies, Museum of Anthropology and Palacio de Ferro. There is a supermarket and some cafes and coffee shops within a few minutes walk. Blue Breeze also organised airport transfers to both Luanda airports, and a great day tour to the Miradoura de Lua, Ilha do Mussulo and Meseo da Escrevatura. Couldn't really ask for more."

Unfortunately, one or two street kids waiting in the street outside were unusually persistent and bothersome, even to the point of almost causing car accidents. The local street vendors and security will shoo them away, but they seem to come back the moment as soon as one steps outside.

de buiten van de accommodatie geeft verkeerd beeld. de buitenkant van de accommodatie ziet er niet te best uit. maar zodra je ik je appartement bent is het wereld van verschil.

"Our whole family loved this place. The garden setting is beautiful and very well maintained, and the kids absolutely loved the pool — it was a real highlight for them. The location is superb: close to the beach and right by the marine reserve, which made for some of the best snorkelling we experienced. A fantastic spot for a relaxed family stay."

De douche ruimte is erg klein. Op het balkon zou een comfortabele zitstoel fijner zijn.

"There is a kitchen where I was able to prepare my own meals. All the facilities are included e.g a cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave etc It was a home from home apartment which was to my liking and style. The host Marcia is excellent and extremely helpful. I would describe her as a problem solver and very knowledgeable. Including Yolanda who does the day to day Management of the accommodation . She is always helpful and very friendly no matter how busy her day is . I have recently extended my stay for a further 18 days as I am very happy staying here whilst visiting friends and overseeing some renovation work on my own property."

Due to the fact that we are on a main Road there is ongoing traffic and the noise can sometimes be a bit loud from the music boxes the cars and taxi drivers have in their vehicles. There is no noise control on vehicles in Guyana. However, after a time you get use to it.

From day 1 the ceramic cook top on the stove did not work.They sent a man to look at it, he could not get it to work.Nothing was done to try and fix it for the 7 days we were there.. No sharp knife to cut meat etc.no can opener. No hair conditioner. No phone to call reception, we were on the 9th floor. Had to keep going up and down to see them for anything you needed. No came to clean our room or even change our towels for the 7 days we were there.We had to go down to reception to request clean towels.Then they insisted we brought the used ones to them 1st, before giving us clean ones.But this shocked us the most, they said if we wanted .more clean ones later in the week, we had to PAY for them. The washing machine did not work properly. The TV did not work, had to get someone up to reprogram it. Neither coffee or tea was provided. But they had a coffee machine in the lobby,BUT that did not work either for the 7 days we were there. They said they had a small shop to sell essentials. But it was hardly ever open, we it was it had next to nothing in it. They have a roof top swimming pool, which trying to getvin and out of was really dangerous. The bars you held onto were not fixed properly with screws to hold it in place missing. The top step was missing altogether, when we tried to get in , not realizing the top step was not there I slipped down to the second step missing it going between it and the wall getting stuck, my wife still not in the pool and a man in the pool has to help me out, really scary and dangerous. I told reception about it , they apologized saying they would send a maintenance man to look at it.But like everything else they said they would fix, NOTHING was done for the 7 days we were there, consequently we did not use the pool again. The water in the taps and shower were far far too hot , scalding hot 🔥, very dangerous.

"Bed was heerlijk, super douche, schoon en ruimtelijk appartement, fijn terras, zwembad met bedjes en locatie. Dichtbij het strand. Marissa gaf ons veel tips en een warm welkom. We voelden ons meteen thuis in Archondia House!"

"Zeer ruim appartement met fijne veranda. Het appartement heeft een prachtig uitzicht op zee doordat het wat hoger op de heuvel ligt. Auto staat veilig geparkeerd op het terrein. Locatie is prima om het eiland te verkennen met de auto, weg van de drukte van Victoria. Genoeg restaurants in de buurt en een prima snorkelplek voor de deur op loopastand."

"The unit was very very clean. We were close to the beach. Walking distance. Beach towels , chairs and umbrella were available. There was a beach bar right on the beach that we ate at. We did not rent a car. We used M&M taxi while we were there. Awesome service. We also ate at Miss B. Another spot on the beach front. We enjoyed our time. Thank you. We were a party of three. Wifi was able to handle all your streaming needs."

No complaints. All was well.

"We loved the view from our eco friendly and very well appointed self contained place - we could see the sea and were surrounded by trees, flowering plants and birds. We liked being a short walk downhill to the village of Castara with grocery shops, places to eat local food and entertainment. Bars on the beach were very friendly. We loved getting a boat to nearby coves and snorkelling. Paradise for us!"

The fairly stiff walk back from the village is fine as long as you don't rush. The Castara Retreats Restaurant serves lovely fresh fish caught locally but wine as you might expect is eye wateringly expensive. Try Stag beer instead and even that is twice as expensive as in the village.

Er was wel wat achterstallig onderhoud. Bij de deur van onze studio lagen opgedroogde verfrollen en toen we de wasmachine gebruikten liep er water uit. Ons zoontje lieten we met het babybedje in de slaapkamer slapen zodat wij bewegingsruimte hadden als hij sliep. Daardoor gebruikten wij de slaapbank die niet heel comfortabel was. Dit was wel gemakkelijk op te lossen door het matras uit de slaapkamer te gebruiken. Helaas was de zonwering van de studio kapot waardoor wij, doordat we in de woonkamer sliepen en de buitenverlichting aan blijft ‘s nachts, niet in het donker konden slapen. Ook was de betaling nog niet in orde. De accommodatie werkt niet met creditcard waardoor we ter plaatse nog geld bij een automaat moesten pinnen en contact moesten betalen. Het was fijn als we dit van te voren hadden geweten.

Ανυπόφορος θόρυβος τη νύχτα, εξαιτίας νεανικού club που λειτουργεί από κάτω. Χρειάζεται επειγόντως ισχυρή ηχομόνωση για περιορισμό του προβλήματος.

"Het appartementencomplex is gunstig gelegen. Ruime vertrekken. Mooi uitzicht en rustige ligging."

We kozen bewust voor een appartement hier in plaats van een hotel om wat meer vrijheid en ruimte te hebben en vooral ook om de privacy die het appartement met ruim zitterras met ligstoelen gaf dat we gehuurd hadden. Bij aankomst werden we echter pas op de hoogte gebracht dat we een ander appartement kregen gezien de airco stuk was. Dit had helaas geen groot terras. Na improvisatie met een klein binnentafeltje konden we min of meer buiten ontbijten, maar het was alles behalve comfortabel tafelen. We mochten het terras van dat andere appartement eventueel gebruiken maar gezien we daarvoor een heel andere ingang moesten nemen, was dat niet de uitkomst. De dag erna bleek de airco hersteld maar werd ons niet de mogelijkheid geboden om alsnog te verhuizen niettegenstaande we duidelijk maakten dat we bewust voor het andere gekozen hadden. De inrichting van de keuken wqs wel erg beperkt. Geen enkel voorraadpotje om iets te bewaren, geen servietje of keukenrol. We moesten echt alles gaan aankopen. Enkel wat peper, zour, koffie en gelukkig ook flesje olijfolie was voorzien. Zelfs geen keukenhanddoek, enkel een klein handdoekje. Wij verbleven hier 5 nachten en kregen niet 1x een propere handdoek. Voor het ontbijt werd de avond ervoor brood aan de deur gehangen, water, eieren, klein potje ananasconfituur en een stukje fruit werd wel in koelkast aangevuld. Dat moesthet ontbijt worden. In een land waar zoveel fruitsap gedronken wordt, verbaasde het ons dat er zelfs geen manueel fruitpersje aanwezig was. Echt koken was echt geen optie maar gelukkig ook niet onze bedoeling. Dat er geen reiniging werd gedaan tijdens het verblijf wisten we maar dan verwacht je wel dat er iets is van een borstel of dergelijke om zelf iets om te kuisen. Ook niet aanwezig dus.

"Casa Mesa ligt dichtbij het vliegveld, in een beveiligde wijk. Dichtbij een van de grootste shopping malls van Guatemala-Stad, met veel restaurants. De kamer is super-schoon, er is een gemeenschappelijke keuken en zitruimte. De eigenaars zijn erg vriendelijk en attent."

Geen airconditioning, maar wel een ventilator. Niet erg warm gelukkig.

"The best location, I enjoy every moment I did really feel like I was at home. The owner don't humbug at you at all you don't even know is around. We had a Wi-Fi outage and he a sent digi 3 day plan to all his Tenants.."
