The Temple I, Mindo

"Het is gewoon een fantastisch fijne plek om te mogen verblijven. Fijne keuken en algemene ruimte en een mooie kamer met een fenomenaal uitzicht op de tuin en omgeving waardoor je eigenlijk geen geld hoeft uit te geven aan een vogel spot tour omdat de tucans, kolibries en tientallen andere vogelsoorten af en aan vliegen. De wake up service bestaat uit 2 tucans die tegen je raam aan tikken en een banaan willen. Simpelweg geweldig!"

"Het huis is gehorig en beweegt mee als er mensen over de bovenste verdieping lopen. Tip, ga voor een kamer op de bovenverdieping en je zult niet teleur gesteld worden."

"Fijne, schone kamer met soort van aparte ruimte voor bagage en aparte privé badkamer. Host reageerde snel via WhatsApp als we iets nodig hadden."

"Ligt wat verder uit het centrum. Overdag prima te lopen. 'S avonds vonden wij het te donker om over de onverharde weg te lopen en pakten dan ook een taxi."

"In de natuur maar op loopafstand van Mindo. Mooi houten gebouw met veel gemeenschappelijke ruimte. Pao die Temple I en II runt is super sociaal, behulpzaam en grappig."

"The scenic view and lush garden full of birds and agoutis. We enjoyed the balcony and hammock very much. The rooms and the building is very spacious and quite as there were few other guests. On a 15min walk from the centre."

"The breakfast was served quite late. We stayed three nights and the breakfast was minimalistic (scrambled egg, mashed patato, one slice of tomato and fruitjuice) and the same all days. Some variation and diversity would have been highly appreciated. There is no staff arround except for check in and breakfast. You are responsible to check and close all doors of the main building yourself."

"The nature around it is very beautiful and calms down. Teh breakfast was also very delicious and made with love. We enjoyed the big balcony and social area also as the opportunity to have a kitchen with a fridge."

"Truly a magical experience out here at Temple 1. It’s a good 20 minutes walk into town but it’s a beautiful walk amongst the trees and some other ‘retreats’. We were just 4 of us, left there in the beautiful big timber building, verandas, views, binoculars, kitchen and plenty of space - truly magical. The lady only comes for breakfast, and she has no English, but we all survived and she is lovely."

"The location was absolutely breathtaking! It’s located in the forest and you’re surrounded by beautiful plants and various animals like hummingbirds, toucans and if you’re lucky even Capybara! The place was very beautiful designed and the balconies are amazing. The staff was super helpful and friendly, they helped me organize a tour to see butterflies and birds. The breakfast was the best one I have had in Ecuador so far, I had a smoothie, fruit and an omelette. Thank you so much for the amazing stay!"
