Ben je ervan bewust dat je afgelegen bent. Even boodschappen doen kan niet. Dit maakt de ervaring onvergetelijk maar kan ook een uitdaging zijn.

"Prachtig appartement! Alles is tip top in orde, heel ruim, mooie inrichting en heel goed verzorgd. Heel vriendelijk ontvangst met een fijne rondleiding. Je merkt aan alles dat er veel liefde in dit huis zit."

Slechts één kleine tip: een (Electrische) waterkoker zou fijn zijn.

I think it could have been a little bit cleaner, like the bath matts being clean, but otherwise it was totally fine.

"Prima plek om te overnachten. Het is een appartement bij een huis, midden tussen de olijf- en granaatappelbomen. Je krijgt een duidelijk instructie hoe je er met de auto naartoe moet rijden. 's Avonds en 's ochtends prima gegeten. Eigenaresse is heel vriendelijk. Van harte aanbevolen."

"The room is huge, sunny and peaceful. Everything was very clean, comfortable bed. Best shower we have had in Nepal. Hari is wonderful, friendly and will help with anything you need. The balcony area is lovely. We stayed over a week here, its our favourite place in Pokhara!"

"The place is very nice, downhills there are shops , uphills there are restaurants) Pepper valley is 30 min walk from the hotel. Administator Anastasiya is a very polite lady. And the person appointed for the service of the outside territory is nice as well."

Some of the staff ( not all) are rude. It is connected with their lifestyle and misunderstandings which appear when people ask for some things. Some do not understand that in a room there needs to be evth for eating and drinking even if a person eats out. In the best room of the new building still there is no fridge inside the room. However, the place for it exists as the furniture provided has particular space for it. The communication problems may occur so it is better to negotiate every single detail as the view of the relax may differ.

"We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad van twee nachten in Kinigi Cottage, vlak bij Volcanoes National Park. De service was werkelijk uitstekend en zeer persoonlijk. ’s Nachts kregen we zelfs een warmwaterkruik, wat enorm fijn was in de koele avonden. Het eten was superlekker en met veel zorg bereid. Gastheer John verdient een speciale vermelding: hij deed werkelijk alles om ons verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Hij nam ons mee naar de lokale markt, zorgde voor een binnenweg richting het Dian Fossey Museum, en niets was hem te veel. Na de gorillatrekking werden onze wandelschoenen spontaan gepoetst en zelfs de auto werd gewassen; gewoon uit vriendelijkheid, zonder dat we erom vroegen. Dat zegt alles over de gastvrijheid hier."

Een kleine opmerking: de foto’s wekken misschien de indruk van een direct uitzicht op de vulkanen, wat bij ons verblijf niet helemaal het geval was. Dat neemt echter niets weg van de warme ontvangst en de uitstekende service.

"Lovely cheap and basic hostel with a brilliant location, swim in the lake, go on the swing chairs over the water, chill in the hammocks.. The facilities are basic but adequate. Good parking for motorbikes. The food was good but limited options."

No free tea or coffee. You basically need your own transport to enjoy this property.

"Peaceful riverside haven with a shaded terrace and deck opposite the cliffside Lycian tombs, which are lit up at night. The perfect place to relax. Close to shops, restaurants, cafes, bars etc. Our obliging host arranged a trip down stream to the beach on the public boat, which picked us up at our landing. On site parking a bonus."
