The budget Dacia Dokker camper doesn't have insulation, be aware!

"Très simple, très naturel,avec beaucoup de bon coeur l'accueil de ce Lodge qui appartient à une école.Le directeur de l'école m'a servi généreusement de taxi plusieurs fois pour me rendre à Levingstone,au Chutes Victoria et j'ai fait un safari avec lui dans son 4×4 pour un prix avantageux."

Le village de Simonga est très authentique de la pauvreté zambienne sans misère,ici ils sont heureux avec très peu. Pour moi habitué à un peu d'abondance il manque beaucoup ici sans aller à la ville.

"Wat een ontzettend leuke en comfortabele camping! Wij kwamen op de fiets aan (lange-afstandfietsers)en we werden super hartelijk ontvangen. Nog nooit in zo’n mooie pod gelogeerd, de gezamenlijke keuken was volledig ingericht en heel gezellig en ook de Douche/wc was prachtig. Het leek wel een luxe resort en de sfeer was gezellig. Alles was brandschoon en van een hoog afwerkingsniveau. Wij komen zeker nog een keer terug!"

In het dorpje zelf is niet zoveel te doen, maar een heerlijke plek voor rustzoekers!

"Wij sliepen in de tipitent en dat was een goede keuze. Gezellig ingericht, comfortabel en lekker ruim. Er was zelfs een electrische deken voor de koude nachten. Het is een fijne camping met schone toiletten en douches."

"Fantastische Locatie en heel leuk en prettig personeel. De camping is nog een beetje in de opbouw maar dat ongemak werd ruimschoots overtroffen door de gastvriendelijkheid en de lokatie."

Nog in de opbouw, er was geen douche op de camping maar wel een luxieuze bij de eigenaar thuis 300 meter verderop. Deze nodigde ons ook nog ff thuis uit voor een hapje wat deze tegenvaller ombuigde in een heel leuke en gastvrije bedoeling.

"The decoration outside."

First of all please do not rely on the reviews here. The most one I think are fake reviews. This is now the real situation at this so called Nature "hotel". Flies flies flies. Everywhere thousand of flies. Flies in the rooms, flies in the restaurant everywhere you will have the flies. This is an indicator about the bad hygiene in this hotel. I have booked to so called King Room with Mountain view. It sounds very friendly but the reality is totally a horror. The room is very dirty and most issue it is wet and everywhere you see mold. When you enter the room you smell the moldy air. Absolutely unhealthy enviroment. Even the bedding is moldy and wet. The floor is wet. The walls are wet. We have to use hair dryer to have a little bit dry feeling when we sleep. But we could not sleep very well. Very terrible situation. Beside the moldy enviroment the room cleanless is terrible. Everywhere died flies and their feces. Stains on bedding and hairs. The bathroom was so dirty that we have avoided to take a shower. The toilet was not cleaned. The breakfast was consist of only rice and noodle and some unfresh cakes. On the food there are a lot of flies. They have a menu but most ones are not available. So we ate some noodle but was very low quality. Now my frustration. I have paid 1.4mRP for one night. In Indonesia you can stay in a very good 4 star Hotel for this price. I have requested a refund but the owner/staff was very unfriendly and not collaborative. For 200kRP you can stay in Bromo/Tosari in every homestay which is more better than this kind. So dont rely on the pics and reviews. The guys are cheating in a high level. Please be really careful to book this hotel. I have already claimed to booking.com. De hygiëne in de cabins. Ook bij een meerdaags verblijf wordt er niet schoongemaakt. We vonden het geen probleem om de boel zelf bij te houden, maar schoonmaakmiddelen ontbraken. Het zou al helpen als elke cabin zou beschikken over een bezem en een wisser voor de badkamervloer.

"Geweldig leuke camping in Puerto Natales. Je voelt je er direct thuis door de vriendelijke ontvangst en het personeel. Qua prijs / kwaliteit ook super. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte is leuk en gezellig, en er is een keuken met alles erop en eraan. De locatie is top, met mooi uitzicht over het meer, het busstation is op 2 minuten lopen en er is een supermarkt in de buurt. De douches werken goed en alles is hygiënisch. Top!"

Het is wat verder weg van het centrum, maar dat heeft ook weer bepaalde voordelen.

"De accomodatie was niet heel spectaculair, maar wij komen voor de heerlijke sfeer op de camping. Wij waren hier nu voor het 3e jaar en het voelt voor ons als thuis komen. Deze camping heeft geen luxe faciliteiten en er is zeker wel wat onderhoud nodig, maar de drie zussen die de camping runnen zijn ontzettend aardig en zijn bereid alles voor je te doen. Voor oudere kinderen is er op en rond de camping zeer veel te doen tot in de kleine uurtjes. Deze camping is misschien verouderd maar heeft een ziel. Je houdt ervan of niet. Wij vinden het heerlijk om hier 2 weken van het jaar deel van uit te maken. Dus Simona, Barbara en Monica keep on the good work en graag tot volgend jaar."

Je moet er zelf iets van maken anders is er altijd wel iets te zeuren.

"Het is een leuke, unieke camping. De eigenaar heeft het allemaal goed geregeld waardoor je er ook in de avond goed kan eten. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor Altyn Emel."

Wij sliepen in een 3-persoonskamer; onze deur kon niet op slot en ging telkens open. De deur van onze slaapkamer kwam uit op een slaapzaal. Daar waren tijdens ons verblijf geen gasten anders was het mogelijk wat gehorig geweest?

"We had the most amazing stay. Everything was magic. The sound of the river and rain hitting the wagon was magical while you slept. The ducks quacking and running around was so entertaining and the scones on arrival was such a personal touch. We will be returning very soon. The kids would love it 🥰"

We got the tent next to washroom, we were hearing the motor sound always even when sleeping.

"I really enjoyed staying at Camping La Y Griega, in Bocas del Toro. For me, the location is perfect because it is a bit further away from town (which can be very noisy), making the atmosphere much calmer and more peaceful. In addition, the two buses that go to the main destinations on the island stop right in front: to Playa Bluff or towards Bahía Dragón and Playa Estrella. Taxis to town cost 1 dollar. There are affordable options for both rooms and tents. The tents are set up on wooden platforms in a very cozy space with hammocks and sofas. The place is well maintained, with a beautiful garden and a fully equipped kitchen. Howler monkeys pass by very often, and you can also see hummingbirds, which makes the atmosphere even more special. The owner, Johny, is very attentive and friendly, and the volunteers are also very kind and helpful. If I return to Bocas del Toro, I will definitely stay there again. I highly recommend it."

At this price you need to expect a basic accommodation, which it is. Do yourself a favour and rent a scooter right from the beginning of your stay. The scooters rental is not really close to the resort so best you go there with the bus and then drive up to the accommodation with the scooter.
