"De ligging, langs onze route. En dat we er konden eten. Het was oud en erg eenvoudig maar voor 1 nacht prima. Het was al oktober dus verder was in het dorp niets te krijgen."
"En was geen ontbijt en we moesten óf een uur wachten om 6 km zuidelijker te kunnen ontbijten, óf 40 km noordelijker (wat dan meer op onze route lag). Ik vind dat als je een hotel runt en dat weet dar je voor een eenvoudig ontbjjt moet zorgen. Zeker omdat er wel een restaurant is."

"Tucked away on the side of the lake, on the way to somewhere. Just a step back in time, where the locals meet and sit under a giant tree to tell stories, and invite you to join the conversation. If you want luxury you miss the point, clean and safe from the storm, happy staff waiting to take care of you. Simple small town charm with a big heart"
"It could have been better if it was a brand new Hilton, guess what, its not that. Missing a pool and hot tub, or maybe that doesn't really matter either. Get out and see how the real word lives"

"This stay is in a cute Inn a short walk from the beautiful rocky shoreline of Slocan Lake. It includes mountain views, a restaurant with an outdoor patio, and a pub. The staff were all very lovely and I was very happy I chose this spot as my stop over during my road trip. Thank you very much Valhalla and the small town of New Denver for being so welcoming."

"It is a comfortable old style motel . Nothing fancy but it is clean and comfy and the staff are lovely . Location is fine . It is not noisy at all . I did not hear the bar or squeaky floor boards. Previous reviewers here are way too harsh - bad day?"
"I didn’t mind the fact that it is quite old but others might . It did not impact our stay there. Pricey for what you get but not bad"
"Friendly staff, we had a bikerace in the morning and we asked for a later checkout so we could take a shower after the race. This Was no problem 😀. Very clean and comfortable beds. Very good Chinese restaurant of the same owner!"
