Nature Resort

"Midden in het bijna niets ligt Nature Resort, dicht bij Community Bamboo. We waren de enige gasten op dat moment en hadden de deluxe kamer met keuken geboekt. De kamer was prima, heerlijk een kleine koelkast, koffie en thee aanwezig en prima douche. Heerlijk genoten in de hangmat van een lekker boek, de stortregens en het onweer. Mooie ochtend tocht gemaakt door de Community onder leiding van een gids. Deze wist ontzettend veel te vertellen en spotte veel wild. In de avond is er voor ons gekookt. Diner was niet bijzonder maar er werd wel rekening gehouden met onze vegetarische wensen. We hadden helaas maar 1 nacht geboekt. Dat was achteraf wel te weinig."

"Eigenaar was niet op onze komst voorbereid zei hij. Dit corrigeerde hij later. Verder niets om te veranderen."

"Zeer schone accomodatie. Ook de keuken in het hoofdgebouw is super schoon. Vriendelijkheid van de mensen. De riviertocht was echt fijn. Om 6u30 de vogels aan de rivieroever zien ontwaken!"

"We hadden meer verwacht van de Nature Walk. Simpel gezegd hadden we hier geen gids voor nodig om 35 - 40 min op zoek te gaan naar apen. Het pad loopt langs de achterkant van een dorpsbewoner die echt een grofvuil verzameling heeft. Dit is nou niet bepaald 'nature'."

"The location is excellent if you are interested in seeing the Howler monkeys up close or trying a night canoe to see crocodiles. Both these activities were excellent."

"Lovely location with excellent cabanas, and brilliant wildlife, both birds and howler monkeys. We booked Althun Ha and The Canoe River trip with Roy. We highly recommend them, the guides were fantastic! If you want to get away from it all, this is the place!The only downside, we were there for 5 nights and the meals were very repetitive,particularly breakfast"

"Location ideal for baboon sanctuary, and maybe exploring a bit - maybe because our visit was much affected by rain (still a good visit to the monkeys though). Nice lunch. Quiet. Decent bed. Effective aircon/fan. We were in the cheapest hut, which has two bedrooms and one bathroom, mid December, the only guests one of our two nights."

"The hut is a bit deteriorated, although weatherproof and some decor was renewed. There were some small gaps in the building structure, which may be why a few biting insects and a couple of cockroaches were present. Agreed, such are hard to keep out of a log hut. One step up was rotted and very very slippery when wet - needs repair. As so often, few and inconvenient electric outlets predate mobile phones. Only cold shower (as advertised). We felt a bit exposed when establishment unstaffed - maybe that's just us. Only place to put loo roll is on top of the shitrag bin, generally no shelves or hooks in bathroom."

"Location was great for walking to the area where the Howler Monkeys were hanging out in the morning. Small local convenience store only 3 minutes away. Local chicken lunch only 3 minutes away."

"There was some construction (new bathroom) going on right next to our bungalow while we there there."

"The cabin was the best I have stayed in so far in Belize. Roy was very friendly and helpful. Collected me from my hotel in Belize City as no bus on Sundays Close to the Howler Monkeys Food was good and also did my laundry which was ready the same day."
