"This place is very special to our family, and we come back every summer. We’ve stayed in the resort’s different lake houses and all have been great. The Swan House is cozy and charming, and since it’s only reachable by boat, it was an extra adventure for our child. Waking up to the sounds of the lake—fish jumping, raindrops (we had a few during our stay), the wind in the reeds, and birdsong—was simply magical. The owner is a wonderful lady, full of energy and creative ideas. Her warm hospitality and the super tasty pancakes she made for breakfast made our stay even more memorable."

The Swan House does not have a shower or sink, but with the lake all around, it wasn’t really a problem for us.

"I loved the whole concept. Just to wake up in the morning with the view of the boats in Marina is perfect. The house is more like a apartment with a perfect uper deck, with Jacuzzi and the view. You can really organize your time as you like, be active or just take it easy. In the evening is perfect moment to relax and watch the stars from hot Jacuzzi tub. Everything is close by. The beach is not a perfect one but it’s close one and you can always easily go for the swim. The house has everything you need and the host Igor was helpful in organizing everything to run smoothly. Thank you for that. I will definitely come again."

Remember you are in a very fancy tent on the glacier lagoon rather than a hotel room :) All very clearly communicated so no surprise, but beware that the toilet is a fraction of an airplane toilet with no real door, there is no shower, and you need to be super careful with everything.

"Dat het op een jachtboot is, een heel nieuw ervaring voor ons, is wat wij nooit hadden verwacht. Service in de ochtend is geweldig en vooral de pannenkoeken is smullen, blijkt ook nog eens dat de eigenaar een vliegbrevet heeft van kleine vliegtuigen, we hebben gevlogen WoW wat een ervaring om nooit te vergeten. Het is een aanrader 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻"

"Leuk idee om een boot te verhuren, maar helaas is de uitvoering vrij liefdeloos. De locatie is super: een rustige kleine jachthaven aan de Donau en langs een park. Eigenaar Boris is een enthousiaste prater die veel tips kan geven over de stad. Met mooi weer kan je lekker op het dek zitten en van de omgeving genieten."

Begin oktober was het helaas koud en nat en dan is het hier niet leuk. Je zit binnen tegen een vieze buurboot aan te kijken. De airco kreeg het nauwelijks warm en de douche was steenkoud. Het hele interieur oogt armoedig: gescheurde bekleding, een ratjetoe van dekens en kleden (sommige met gaten) op het half opgemaakte bed, kapotte matrassen, vieze vaatdoekjes, plakkerige glazen, drank- en etensresten in de koelkast en overal liggen privé spullen, van gereedschap tot restjes zeep. Boris zijn excuus was dat het 'end of season' was, maar dat snappen we niet. We betaalden de volle prijs. Je kunt toch voor de gasten aan het eind van de zomer ook opruimen, schoonmaken, het bed netjes opmaken en nieuwe matrassen regelen Of gewoon niet meer verhuren!

"Leuke overnachting op een boot aan de rustige Minija-rivier. Fijn om hier tot rust te komen! Heel behulpzame mensen, en het ontbijt was echt lekker!"

"The Sailboat Ragamuffin is a unique experience. You are staying in a sailboat moored off of Water Island, where your hosts live after sailing the Caribbean for 30 years. They are a font of information and anecdotes about the US virgin islands and others. Jo is an accomplished chef and strives to give you the food types you desire. They pick you up by dinghy on the Crown Marina dock, and will take you by dinghy over to Water Island. In my case, I had two berths (bedrooms and bathrooms) on the boat, rocked to sleep by the rolling of the boat on the water. Don't miss going to water island, golf cart to Limestone Beach (coral reef) and Honeymoon Beach (the latter has turtles swimming around)"

The listing didn't make it quite clear what the accommodation would be - it described an apartment and a pool view. I thought it might be a houseboat on a dock. The pool view is the sea around the boat!
